Back in 1971, my folks and I went on a summer cross country camping roadtrip. Starting in Miami, we went across to California, up the coast into Canada, down through Montana, over to Michigan and home. One of the things I remember most was Lake Louise and how my dad could never say Banff. He always pronounced it Braniff, like the airlines. Thanks for bringing back memories. :)

Really looking forward to the Alaska videos but seeing Banff, Jasper and the Ice Fields Parkway is always so stunning. We spent two weeks up there last year and it was magnificent.

In 2009 my wife and I went to Calgary stampede then travelled the same route as you to Alaska. We are enjoying reliving our trip and can't wait to wait to see how you traveled the highway.

Awesome stuff! BTW, the greenish hue to the waters are caused by the high concentration of terpines from the evergreen trees prominent in the area. Normal for waterways surrounded by evergreen forests. I'm not sure I'd wanna drink it, but it's safe to swim in if you like cold water. Looking forward to your next episode.

I don’t know how many times I said “holy moly that view. OMG incredible. Are you kidding me stunning” watching this. Your were so in your element with all those mountains. After watching if that’s doesn’t make you want get a camper to explore nothing will. I can’t believe you caught that bear in video. You were right the water in the lakes did not look real. I am so glad you are getting to visit Lake Louise, Banff. When my mom & dad were alive, we made many trips from Abbotsford, B.C. all the way thru lower Alberta all the way across lower provinces to Winnipeg, Manitoba where my dad was from. We still have relatives in Calgary, .Medford, Sask. & Winnepeg. Beautiful, beautiful country.

Such an awesome video and so many memories for me. I camped there in the 50's in a tent and was fortunate to ride our bikes from Banff to Jasper on a two day trip with a stop near the Columbia Ice Fields. The hikes around the lakes and the Athabaska Water Fall were awesome! Loved every minute.
We have just returned from a 3 week holiday to all these places! My memories will last forever but what sticks out is the peak2peak the icefields too oh Wow I stood on a Glacier!! Thanks for sharing. We can't wait to return with our own Motorhome ❤

Hi Robert, just catching up on your videos now that it’s winter. We live up by Banff and Louise. So sorry you didn’t have the usual nice sunny days. Those lakes are even more spectacular then. It really is one of the most beautiful drives in Canada. And you are right. There are not many mountains like Jasper area that are so “young” looking. Very pointed and sharp edged. Well done video of our corner of Alberta, thanks.
I was surprised at the huge crowds. Seems like natural recreation has turned into theme parks. Great job on filming around the crowds. Hopefully Alaska will be less crowded.

I was there back in 2016 and the Canadian Rockies are indeed a sight to behold. Weather doesn't always cooperate and that is the reality that comes with that particular region.
I missed these places. We used to come here in the mid 90’s. Banff, Jasper and drove the scenic icefield parkway. Not that many tourist back then. Mostly just Canadians. Now visitors flocking from around the world to see it. And obviously you can the see the human footprints on the trails.
First time there for me 1974 on a dirt trail riding motorcycle dirt bike from Niagara Falls. Next time there 2015. Been there two more times since 2015. Views are unreal. Can’t wait to go again in the next 6 months. To visit my grand kids that live in Alberta about hour from bc Alberta border
I've been to Alaska but it is always fun to see the sites again. In 2-weeks I will be Banff and Calgary so I have dnjoyed getting an idea of the lay of the land in advance. Great shots of all the areas. If I were younger, I would love to be traveling as you are. Thanks for taking us along.

Robert i cant believe you never saw or showed a video of the Banff Springs Hotel while walking through Banff, the most beautiful gothic looking hotel in Canada. It is more beautiful the the Chateau Lake Louise with its old castle looking huge stone structure. It is the main attraction in Banff, did you see it?

I've always been leery of international travel (bad flight experience), but this video has prompted me to look into getting my passport renewed and to take a trip to the Canadian Rockies. That's where I want to go so badly , Lake Louise and Banff , the surrounding Region. but first visit Idaho, Montana and then slip up into Canada !!! I dream is to visit every State in The USA!!! I have total of 9 States to go, then I have seen all of The USA. I been dreaming this since I been teenager and it's taken a longgggg time .

Another really good one! It is reminding me of my own trip on icefields parkway. We didn't go up to the lake Louise tea house either, but did that same lake side trail.
