I've been told changing beds every day prevents the new location from harboring ticks and fleas/lice. I've also been told it's possible the chimps have figured out which trees make a natural insect repeller

Must be why we love our beds to be relatively flat and cushioned, as well as an explanation for bedrooms being on the top floor (at least where I live.) It's so cool to see where some of our most basic behaviours come from.

There's also the archetypical symbolism of dreams/sleeping connected to "clouds", see eg. daydreaming, related to the sky, clouds. The branches on top of the tree also make a cradling effect. Probably why babies are programmed to be soothed by it. Trauma releasing exercises uses shaking to alleviate tension in the nervous system. That's why fast cars, harley davidson motorcycles (shaking) have a soothing effect. Same maybe with boats. The adult bed should have some cradling instad of being steadfast on the floor.

+Leyla Leyla Yes they are interesting and important African creatures. Famous Jane Goodall has been studying and protecting these intelligent apes for 61 years since 1961 in East Africa’s Tanzania 🇹🇿 in Gombe stream national park.

Makes sense why I can get my bed super cozy and comfortable one night but the next consecutive nights I am tossing and turning because it’s not comfortable

What if we had to select the place and erect a room for bedtimes and prepare the bedding every night before going to sleep? Whatever but these lineal foreign (read forest)cousins of ours are the kings over their respective regimes.

These apes are also listed as endangered by the IUCN and Jane Goodall from London in the U.K. has been studying these highly intelligent primitive hominids for 63 years since 1960 in Tanzania's Gombe stream national park. National Geographic, Disneynature and the African wildlife foundation are protecting these guys as well.
