INGREDIENTS:
Dough:
2 3/4c All Purpose Flour
1c Beer
1 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Sugar
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1 packet instant yeast
Basil (to taste)
Oregano (to taste)
Garlic Power (to taste)
Calzone Filling:
Sliced Muenster Cheese
Ricotta Cheese
Garlic Cheddar Cheese Curds
Crumbled Bacon
Thick Sliced Pepperoni
Mozzerella & Provolone (sliced)
Basil
Egg Wash and Butter for Crust:
1 Egg
Melted Butter with Grated Parmesan mixed in

Sir you won't believe it, I am a big fun of your music, a (software) engineer and recently started cooking, I took a professional cooking class (no, I am not talented :P). This video just came out of nowhere and just made my day... Thank you!

Small tip on the Beer pouring: angle the cup and start pouring in a way that makes it hit just bellow the ledge with as little fall distance as you dare. Slowly righten the cup as you get closer to the edge. Should prevent the majority of the foam from building

Well done! Your advice on taking the time to clean up after yourself is spot on. I've worked as a professional cook, and too many people don't do this, and it usually ends up as a problem for someone else. It's not like we see on the big name cooking shows where they have a crew to prepare ingredients, and to clean up after the on-air personality. You recipe looks great, an I am looking forward to many more of your culinary efforts!

Love the new video format! Great way to make use of a very photogenic kitchen and share a bit more of your life beyond music and voice acting. Truly a multitalented man! This calzone recipe reminds me a lot of a close culinary cousin my family has been making recently: The Stromboli! Start by rolling out pizza dough into a large rectangle on an olive oil greased parchment in a baking sheet. The Captain's dough recipe will probably work well, though I've used store-bought so far, either Pillsbury or a store brand dough mix. Onto your dough rectangle, first brush on melted butter mixed with oregano and garlic powder, then add a thick layer of shredded parmesan cheese, then a layer of sliced mozzarella, then salami, pepperoni, and prosciutto (optionally with sprinklings of shredded parmesan or mozzarella between the meat layers, depending on how cheesy you like your pizza pastry). You can also add sliced mushrooms if you want some veggies to help soak up the grease. Top if off with sliced provolone (muenster might also work). Next, spread an egg wash on 3 sides, leaving one of the long sides dry. Then roll the whole thing toward the dry side like a giant meaty Yule Log/Jelly Roll. If it doesn't want to roll, just fold the long sides together as best you can; I've had this trouble sometimes when stretching the dough too thin. Once your meat and cheese log is closed up, brush some more garlic butter on top, followed by a liberal drizzle of shredded parmesan. Cut some slits diagonally across the top to help vent steam. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, until the top is a rich golden brown. Once out of the oven, let it rest for about 5 minutes, then cut into slices about 3in thick. Serve with marinara dipping sauce! As mentioned, stromboli are very similar to calzones, the differences being: 1. Stromboli never include ricotta cheese 2. Stromboli must always contain meat 3. Stromboli are made as a roll rather than a pocket

Okay, Im not gonna lie, I was a little sceptic at first, but gosh, this video was soo good!!! Im not a big cook, but i'll try this! I cant eat a lot of vegetables, so this is a perfect recipe! Love your content since I was 12! (I feel old at 23 now)

I have been practicing making pizzas for several years now, and I gotta say, I never really thought of the ides of making calzones. Might modify this a bit to be more like my standard dough recipe, but it looks delicious either way! I love italian food. My favorite food, and favorite thing to make is a big pot of spaghetti. I'd love to see your take on it.
