Enjoying the Captain’s Log every morning… And NOW, finally, I have a valid reason / excuse to have my beloved marshmallows in the house!!! Cherishing you both…
Captain Kate is how good bosses used to be years ago, when people liked their jobs and were valued. So good to see officers following her example. A few captains of industry could learn a thing or two from these videos.
The marshmallow hack ONLY works if you have proper marshmallows that are still made from mallow plants (most marshmallows are not made from them anymore). Mallow plants (which grow in marsh lands - hence "marshmallows") have a mild compound much like what we see in cold medications and cough syrup to suppress symptoms and coughs. Marshmallows were originally made for this very purpose - to entice sick children to eat their medicine (since most medicine tasted disgusting and kids did not want to eat them). Most marshmallows don't have any medicinal effect any, because they use an glucose product instead of mallow (MUCH cheaper, sweeter, and no one thinks about using them for colds anymore given other OTC options). SciShow channel here on YT did a great video about this.
Do you always have this much fun with your staff and crew? Was that Liz' first departure? She did it just as predicted. And more bloopers please. Go Bug on the bridge for Liz.
I too had that cough, for five months… I wish I would have known about the marshmallows 😅 For me it ended after I took the pneumonia vaccine, even though it wasn’t pneumonia that I had, confirmed even by a full CAT Scan.
Hello Captain Kate and 1st officer Irem 🌼🌼thank you for the great update and advice that I could possibly used it after the icy and windy Canadian experience. But, surprisingly, I am doing ok in spite of the exposure to a lot of airports, train stations and many people from around the world... I guess marshmallow eating is helping wiping out the surface irritants that are close to the raspatory system. But, I will soon try the "brake cleaner spray" advice for the stain on my precious white real cotton travel shirt. [Since the precious BEYOND gives you access to the infinitely clear horizons with no light pollution, I hope you folks can experience the ongoing mega cosmic aurora event as well. Even if the naked eyes can't see because of where you are, I wouldn't give up, a good action camera with night time lapse settings can possibly capture traces of aurora over the night... With the manual mode; 20 second interval time with 15 second exposures at ISO 400 to1200 with a lens having around F/2 aperture could be a good starting point. You may have to experiment with ISO values to avoid excessive brightness on the frames depending on the moon light and the light pollution the camera sees. Worst case, you'd be having a nice night skies time lapse from BEYOND and confirming that there is no Aroura in the Caribbean region no matter how active the Sun is..] ⚓🧜♀🧜♀🐈🐬🧿😎 Good luck, wishing fair winds and following waters 😎🌴
Interesting about the cough. I noticed it last month travelling. Everyone was coughing. On plane. In Miami. On cruise. On plane home. Back here in the UK. Everyone is coughing all the time. What’s going on?
