Oh my god, how our beloved officers ,jcos and jawans were able to capture Haji peer pass ? Amazing. ! I am an ex and in 1965 when Haji peer was captured ,I was studing in 8 th class and on radio I heard about Haji peer having been captured by our soldiers .Today I am able to see it in a film .Thanks Film Division Of India .Thanks once again.
Actually we didn't give it away. It was exchanged for land captured by Pak Army up to Fatehpur Ridge - just 4 km short of Akhnur. The Sept 06 attack across the Intl boundary stopped / riposted Grand Slam...but didn't roll it back. A future threat to Akhnur and our lines of communication to Poonch/Mendhar/Nowshera region would have been worse. The Pak Army - Indian Army technology and training gap was at its peak in 1965 and still the Pak Army was not able to achieve its strategic aim of capturing J&K. Anyway paid for this with India "nudging" the break-up in 1971. Why we didn't leverage that to end the Kashmir obsession is another complicated story. Not a big fan of the present-day Congress but they did conduct the war very well. A mystery why Pakistan thought we wouldn't react across the IB. They fell prey to their own narrative of J&K being a separate entity from India.
We gave it away because USA, China and USSR were pressurising us. Otherwise Gilgit Baltistan, Peer Haji Pass, Some Districts of Lahore would have been still under India's control

I just want to say from my bottom of my heart very frankly and very candidly that why the hell our late PM Mr Lal Bahadur Shastri signed Tashkant pact and why we back of this iconic and most important part of our territory which we captured in 1965 litterelly today this pass become most easiest way for Porkistan enuches to come in our state Jammu and Kashmir if we didn,t signed that Fcking pact our troop would have been there and that Haazi pass would be a part of our state and the Porkistan enuches would had come in our Kashmir what they are doing now days in so many years but that was old century. Today is 21st century and we are much highly capable to take our territory from Porkistan and we have nukes too so don,t waste a minute and get ready to recapture this iconic part back to our nation and Gilgit Balistan too so I urge our PM Narender Modi ji to allow Indian army to recapture this part in our country and Gilgit Balistan too.....Jai Hind

Great capture but of what use. just last year i visited Haji Peer Pass and saw Pakistani & Azad Kashmir flag fluttering high in the air and very heavily guarded.

I know that very well. We want you guys to keep under estimating us so we can surprise you people big time. Pakistan army is now battle harden military after all these years of fighting difficult terrorism and gaining victory. Yes you are big in number, but numbers dont count, the courage counts.

A useless victory. Pakistan now still holds Haji Peer Pass and Bedori Feature with 3 times heavy guarded defenses then previous, support with arty fire and a stronghold down below at Forward Kahuta.
Not useless at all. We swapped it for the entire gains of Grand Slam which were still quite significant by the time India eased pressure by attacking across the IB. Indians are generally a little weak in the geography of this area because we only use the full map of India publicly and in schools. We don't discuss or represent the LOC as we consider "on technicality" if not on ground the entire princely realm of J&K a part of the Republic. You are correct about the heavy defences of Pak Army present there today. But the loc is more a picquet duty and India has bigger fish to fry then butting its head against an Army that drains their country's resources on a pointless yet self-serving enmity. Keep the bulge area clean, green and with good biodiversity. That would be a reasonable goal for South Asia. Infiltration from this route already taken care of by India with consistent deadly results over past 20 years.
Not so useless after all Mr Abbasi, if not for the Haji Pir Pass, India would not have had much to bargain for in the Tashkent Agreement against the Land gains made by Pakistan in Chhamb sector upto 04 kms till critical Akhnoor bridge

Haji Peer is very Nice palce and Al Hamdulllah its in Azad Kashmir Under cntrol Of Pak Army i am living there, Just make the film and upload it on youtube and watch and enjoy and recdvie salute from nation for good film only,
Koi pressure nahin tha, Read my comment about Hajipir being exchanged for the ingress 4 km up to Akhnur. We forget about it because this area included Chhamb which within the net Indian gain in territory was an area lost in 1971.
@@abhaymathur4213 Yeah We had no other option as we could not let the Pakistan border extend till within 4kms of the Critical Akhnoor bridge, or else they could easily capture Akhnoor later on an severe the only linking road to Kashmir Region from Jammu and mainland India
Unbelievable and unacceptable----Trust us never to learn from history---why the heck would we give back haji Per pass, Why did we just give away our land known as East Pakistan--at the very least we should have kept enough ;land the widen and strengthen what is known as Chicken's neck-----Shame on us.
