A huge thank you to everyone who feels strongly enough to preserve John Britten's memories. He encapsulated everything that excites a "Kiwi", and captivated our souls.
Wonderful Man, Talented and Humble . A true gentleman in all respects. John gave us all a pice of himself, We cherish his memory. Each time we see the fruits of his labour charging around the track , it brings back truly wonderful memories of a great man. Thoughts to Family and friends who helped John reach his dreams, Bless you all !!! Thank you for sharing this moment in time with us.
Team Britten turned up at Daytona with a newly-built and barely tested bike, a crate of parts and three people. It led the race until let down by the charge control unit, one of the few bought-in parts of the bike. Classic go-for-it Kiwis.

Trick question: If you asked John Shand what 21st birthday gift he instantly remembers, what would it be? Secondly: what motorbike did the person who gave him that gift ride? Thirdly: Who was the person who gave John the gift? I will keep an eye on this, and post what I think are the right answers sometime. 😜
