The debt the industry owes Corman will never be repaid. Ever.

His movies were such an important part of my growing up in the early 60's via Saturday Matinees & TV airings I can never express my debt deeply enough. Then on to drive-in screens with the always entertaining New World releases. Thanks Roger! You were one of a kind and made life so much more fun.

Love Corman. What a legend. At 98, he certainly had a great run. Something to be celebrated. I only recently saw Targets. A great film and a great microcosm of Cormans philosophies of penny pinching and supporting young talented directors. I too LOVE the Poe cycle.

I had a chance to meet him around 1997 in Spain and he was so nice he signed his book for me, The he noticed he signed upside down and in the last page so he signed again in the inside front page. So I have his book bookended with his signature. He was so nice and such a funny guy, let alone a talent champion and wonderful director. Will be missed each and every day.

He was one of the most inspirational filmmakers out there and helped to influence many filmmakers that listened to his advice. Goodbye, Roger. You were, and always will be, the B-Movie King.

Quite a legend in independent filmmaking, to be sure, and a true gentleman, a rarity in the roiling snake-pit that is Hollywood. I was aware of Roger Corman as a remarkable film-maker but I had only seen bits and pieces of his Poe cycle on tv airings. However, I think it's past due to discover those films in their entirety and his other works, as well. Thank you for the tribute to a Hollywood legend, and also for the recommendation to check out Roger Corman's work.

He certainly came across as a true Hollywood gentleman, and certainly managed a remarkable career in the 98 years he was with us. He certainly provided me with a lot of pleasure when I was a kid and beyond!

You're awesome. The only I've seen from Corman is an interview he did in a documentary about The Silence of the Lambs - he did a cameo role in a scene that got cut. I remember my impression of Corman being the way you describe him in this video.

Corman knew his market so well he added an entirely superfluous scene of a raging Barbarian on horseback emerging from a time warp in Frankenstein Unbound cause he knew it would look impressive in the trailer.

I wasn't aware Corman had passed away. I think the last Corman directed movie I watched was Von Richthofen and Brown (1971). Rest in Peace, Roger!

Don’t forget The St, Valentine’s Day massacre. I know it was made at Fox but it’s a great movie in my opinion and it has a good Indicator release

sorry, you try too hard. and if you read a script, read a script and don't try to half-act like you're not reading a script.
