Wow your story is my exact story. Incredible! I Have tried everything. Even ozempic for 6 months but it hurt my stomach so I went off it. So now I’m carnivore eggs meat cheese. Thanks for this video!
I never comment on RU-vid videos but I recently started carnivore (not 100% but definitely a majority of my diet) and I literally agreed with every point you made! Question - what did the weight loss trajectory look like? I’ve heard it’s common to drop a good amount of weight the first week or two which is the water your body stores when you eat a higher carb diet. Was that your experience? Did your weight come off consistently (ie like 1.5#\wk) or was it a more sporadic mix of plateaus and then big drops? I have pcos as well and and am looking to shed about 30#, so I’m just curious what your experience was.
I'm so glad you found the video helpful. I really tried not to weigh myself because I find that I get really swayed if I don't see the results that I THINK I should see...if that makes sense. But I definitely could feel the weight loss and see it. For me, I lost a good amount the first two weeks (if I could guess, it would probably be between 5-8lbs). The rest of the diet it was small, incremental changes that continued to compound. I didn't weigh myself until around 6 months in. Based on that math, I probably lost about 1lb per week. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but this is definitely a lifestyle change and I didn't want to make it about the weight loss (personally). I hope that helps!
@@LifeofLauraLeethis is definitely so helpful and good advice. I think my concern is I would eat as much or more calories and end up gaining weight on this diet (I managed to do that with intermittent fasting 😅). However I think I’ll take a page from your book and at least not weigh frequently. Maybe once a month to see if I need to adjust calorie intake.
Hi! What fat/protien ratio do you follow? I'm coming from ketovore to carnivore and haven't lost any weight in 6 years. In fact, I recently gained a couple lbs on carnivore. I have regular periods now with my PCOS but zero weight loss. In 39, 5"8.5 and 215lbs. 😫 Thanks!
I don't actually follow and ratio. I just eat until I am full....I know that's not very helpful but I found that if I was still hungry, I needed more fats.
its great that you took the photos because its inspiration to many people out there:) I grew up in an animal based lifestyle household and so its my favorite type of food to consume. I wanted to suggest something delicious: boil some eggs for 5 minutes and then place in cold water to cool down; In meantime, turn on the oven to 375dg; Now lightly season some ground beef(salt, pepper/paprika, garlic/onion powder or whatever you wish to use for seasoning), next beat an egg and mix in witht he ground beef; Next remove the eggs which are cooling from their shell and wrap each of them in some ground beef like a ball; Next wrap each ball of ground beef with a strip or two of bacon. Place in baking dish and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle parmesan cheese all over them / Or sprinkle some kirkland soft goat cheese. so so yummy:) Also you can put them in an airfryer instead of the oven for 10 to 12 minutes:)
Amazing results! way to go :) Have you seen positive outcomes related to your PCOS, specifically? ie. cycle regularity, etc. Also, does this mean you're never going to eat a vegetable again? lol
Hahahah I have started eating some vegetables like cucumbers and squash. I'll eat broccoli and cauliflower or a salad from time to time. But yes, I saw a significant shift in my PCOS and cycle regularity.
