Dershowitz is like a Blind Man who believes Everyone is Blind too despite knowing that isn’t the Case and yet goes on and tries to tell the ones who can see that The Moon and Sun are the same thing.. and when someone tries to point that out, the blind guy accuses the Person of being biased against the Blind while insisting that he isn’t Blind himself..
Yeeep unfortunately the most blind people are Arabs who do not live and never lived in palestine and white ppl who believe UN... like Yo UN has more problems with israel than Iran, North Korea, China and Venezuella combined..kmz.hĥthtj222222ddddddddd
One comment - Dershowitz has been a lifelong classic democratic that has been revered and hated by BOTH sides on a number of topics but widely revered as an expert in this area since the 60’s.
Yes, revered by the oppressor, despised by the oppressed. He’s lying through his teeth and he knows it. He contradicts himself several times. Invokes the authority of the UN when it’s convenient for him and dismisses the UN when it’s not. He advocates for occupation, but not when it’s the Jews, who did terrorism against German civilians during WW2. Noam Chomsky exposes him, for who he is in the Harvard debate. I felt embarrassed for him.
When a country is established based on a religion or ethnicity, how it behaves-its government’s foreign and domestic policies and actions will, per force, rightly or wrongly, reflect upon that entire religion or ethnicity. People are irrational. They don’t distinguish between what a nation’s government does and the citizens of that nation. The leaders of both Israel and the Palestinians want justice for themselves but don’t seem to care enough about the rights of the other. They can’t get beyond their tribal identities to see others as equally worthy . There are tremendous pressures to remain intractable on both sides. People just want peace, security, a measure of prosperity and a chance to live their lives and raise their families in safety. But they can become irrational when they are targets of propaganda. Easily fired up. Quick to join mass movements. Quick to fall into an “us and them” mentality. I’m dismayed but not surprised to see a rise in antisemitism after what has happened. When excited, people discard nuances. Zionism, like colonialism and imperialism have consequences. Not all Arabs or Muslims supported the attack on 9/11. But Arab Looking Americans were beaten or killed for it. Not all east Asians are Chinese. But they were blamed for Covid and attacked on the street and their businesses were vandalized and shunned . Not all Americans supported our deeds in Vietnam. Not all Jews support the policies of the Israeli government.
That in no way explains the raging hypocrisy of anti-Israel sentiment. In fact, Israel is very multicultural, with 20% Arab Muslim citizens. Whereas Arab countries are 99% Muslim. Japan is 95% ethnic Japanese. There are dozens of other examples throughout the world. But ONLY Israel is condemned as "racist". Such critics are anti-semites, clear and simple.
Palestine developed organically over Centuries. That is REAL. Israel was conceived by Herzel in 1897 and created artificially with imported people with superior notions. The artificial now rules the real - brutally.
Palestine was a word made up by the Romans as an administrative term. It was never used to refer to a separate ethnicity until a few decades ago. For the centuries Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire it was ruled from Damascus as part of the province of Syria. Hence why Auni Bey Abdul-Hati, a prominent prominent Palestinian leader, told the Peel Commission 'Palestine is a term the Zionists invented ... our country was for centuries a part of Syria'. You will never find a reference by Palestinian leaders to a 'Palestinian people' before the founding of Israel because it is ENTIRELY a made up concept designed to make the Syrians in Palestine seem smaller and more vulnerable. Also, why does it matter that Jewish immigration to Palestine only began on a large scale in the 1890s? When Israel was founded Jews were a majority in the lands it was given for all of living memory.
@@olivernorth7418 You're talking about different things. He's talking about Palestine the geographical region, it's communities and peoples and he is correct. You are taking about Palestine the nation state, which never existed and you are correct. But people and communities can exist without being nation states, as indigenous peoples have in North and South America, Australia and New Zealand before European colonization. If we are being honest, the Palestinians are historically a diverse tribal group, not a unified nationalistic one. They were forced to unify because they were being divided and conquered by European settler colonialists
The Jewish and Arab states proposed by UNSCOP in 1947 were both equally contiguous. That is to say, depending on how you think about the so-called "kiss points", either they were both contiguous or neither of them was contiguous.
Dershowitz has been proven a liar over and over again. Why he continues to be regarded as influential maybe traced to his Jewish supremacy views? I don't know, maybe.
Actually, the exact opposite. As Dershowitz points out --- Yugoslavia, Lebanon anyone? Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, are far more homogeneous than Israel, which is 20% Arab Muslim. The very idea of nationhood requires a PEOPLE with common values and culture. Multiculturalism is idiotic kumbaya, throwing cats and dogs and squirrels in a bag and thinking everything will just.....work out.
@@ChrisAnderson1986wft hhahahah you cursed ,you guys will never find a land as a country no matter israel kill ppl in palestine the only place you include it is your places in inferno you guys are “CURSED “

@@nash984954 Great. Amazing. Now tell me when you have a number for how many of those Palestinians were Hamas rocket operators and attempted suicide bombers. Bear in mind that Israel is forced to militarily respond to threats against its civilians perpetrated by the Palestinians, and that just like every other country its military operations (against people who violate the Geneva convention by hiding as civilians btw) have civilian casualties.
