This video is the case for William Blake. I didn’t always have a way into the study of Blake, but a sculpture outside of the British Library gave me a path better understand and love the colorful prints of William Blake. More on Blake: • Analysis of William Bl...

I'm not moved by Blake's works but your video is a work in itself, I gained from it. thanks

I am a huge admirer of Blake and was rubbing my hands in anticipation upon seeing the notification for this video. Wonderfully presented - every observation and point-in-case I had started to jot down onto paper for debate during watching were negated - your analysis excellently covered the complex theme. From 14:23 is a true advise for Life. Very, very enjoyable Case - it was an artistic philosophy! (don't tell Plato...)

I'm a huge fan of Blake - He's buried around the corner from where I live (John Bunyan and Daniel Defoe are in the same cemetery so pretty good company!) - the Tate show was one of my favourite shows of all time - saw it 3 times! Thanks for posting.

Amazing. I had planned to see it, along with Kara Walker's show in the turbine hall, that January but the pandemic was starting up here in Italy and the trip was cancelled...

I'm an artist and have never met an artist who doesn't love Blake. His work is incredibly weird, but it's this weirdness that is still so appealing and so modern

I have enjoyed Blake's work for a long time, so thanks for this. Tangentally, the movie "Dead Man" is centered on a character named William Blake. I think it might be an interesting side note.

blake was enlightened. he was influenced by so much change in the day and especially aware of americas birth, while uniquely aware of the intangible. and the spiritual. his artistic talents and efforts illuminated as intended and included his thoughts questions concerns about conflict about hypocrisy about belief. living and dying without relative fame and fortune, his creations in turn for good reason affected millions since.

I find the way that Blake depicts Newton's hands interesting, the left is a square and the right forms a triangle with the page. I'm not sure if this intentional but it's almost like his subconscious is so given over to rationality that even his own body wants to conform to geometric shapes. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not but it suits the theme.

@@AmorSciendi Thanks. I'm only just coming into art history after having an interest in more general history and I find your videos to be some of the best resources to explore this field.

he is a good poet. who are you comparing him to? Don't take your friends opinion at face value and ask him why the Poem Tyger Tyger is not that great. His poems are solid, none of my literary friends or professors trash him.

Yup. Me overcoming that immature perspective is the structure of the video

you cannot make a "case" for William Blake. just look at his work. that is all one needs to do is look and study the genius of his work. you are beating a dead horse for likes.
