The constant uploads help keep the momentum and motivation going from week to week, you can't imagine how much I appreciate seeing a new video from you guys in my feed every few days. Thank you! 😎👍
Theme - hooks. Takeaway - founder's letter w a reframe POV and a great hook to get them interested. Plus Team Hooks all the way for the bathroom (Imma designer :)
Past entrepreneurs did things for the motivation of changing the world and expand consciousness, the sigma movitation for future ones will be to be a guest on MFM
“We don’t plan.” We just decide what we wanna do, split that up into six week sections with minimum amount of productivity per six weeks and do all that in a profitable way.
Have been in Jason's energy field since about 2011 - I tune in and out and then every 3 years or so something pops up as a reminder that the core aspects of his life and business philosophy sit well. The insights into Bezos character and approach were also 'interesting'. Fantastic interview guys absolutely love your work and approach to this pod.
His book 'Rework' literally helped me make my first $100k. I followed the principles in the book and carried it around like a maniac when I was building my first product. Been following Jason ever since. Always have a couple of copies of that book to gift people. This dude is as legit as they come.
Other than Rob Dyrdek, Jason has been the best guest by far. Love his mentality. I mean that’s the dream. Being totally successful, but enjoying life outside of your entrepreneurial journey. Jesse Itzler had a great story as well. Great interview.
Great insights on the 6-Week Sprint playbook! Adding to that, remember that breaking projects into smaller, manageable sprints can significantly boost productivity and focus, especially when combined with the critical path method to prioritize tasks that impact the project timeline the most.
What Jason said about “it’s not my identity” resonated. I need to adopt more of that. Sam, Shaan, great questions guys. I thought: “oh ask him about his personal finances..” and you did! Maybe I watch too much MFM 😅🎉
tbh, i like the go with the flow approach, because you never know what kind of opportunities might appear along the way and when they come you need to react ^^
Hyper-capitalist??? We are total socialist Freaks. The free market died in America over a hundred years ago. An American couldn't tell you what capitalism is if he had 50 million in the bank. Trust me I know, I live in LA 😅😅. Thankfully there is still a spirit of entrepreneurship but only to the extent that our Cartel Capitalist Cleptocrats will tolerate.
This is EASILY one of my most favorite MFM podcasts. Jason is amazing. Blazes his own path. Marches to the beat of his own drum and his thinking process is admirable. I'm a fan. That book, Rework is gold. Gonna have to rewatch this a few times and figure out how to incorporate into my own world. Thanks, fellas.
A really nice episode. Was a pleasure watching you guys. Our founder and a few more have been following 37 signals a while now. That's great inspiration for our company.
Just finished the pod and I’m crying. Not sobbing but happy. Founders letter and how excited Jason was to write it is very motivating. Loved the towel hook and Airbnb stories! I’m going to listen from the beginning again while cooking dinner. Great job guys!
Something happened to long format interviews. This one brought it back. My favourite episode. Period. Also - I just emailed Jason to ask for a job. Fingers crossed
Love this interview and I'd love to see more like it. IMHO, Jason's lifestyle and way of doing business seems way more appealing to me and more worth emulating than the mega-success stories of billionaire founders.
Jason Is incredible! He recommended “The Manual, Epictetus” to me years ago and it had a great impact on your boy. I appreciate you, Jason! Hope you’re still tinkering with vintage watches 🤓
