Thank You So much Damien you said it all . And you explained it exactly as I feel about so many of these outstanding Houses and Castles in The Republic of Ireland . It's a Sad thing as you say towards the end nothing would stand to Castleboro in its prime . Ireland has lost sooo many of the greatest Castles and Houses .
Brilliant work again by Damian. It's such a pity that private owners are allowed to control such wonderful pieces of our history. Farmland it is now, what an utter shame all round. Real lack of ambition, forward thinking and respect for the past. Huge well done Damian.
Damian, I just returned to your Lament to-day and it’s a brilliant piece of work. It gives a permanent record of the splendour of this place and shows what utter destruction a match can cause. Force and destruction are all-conquering, but their victories are short-lived.
A wonderful and poignant tribute to times past and very well done. I believe a lot of unique local workmanship.went into the building and fitting out of the mansion. Its a shame it was all destroyed
