Same here, I did not want the 3d terrain as I felt it was odd to pull out a tile and then search for 3d tile from the box to replace it with. However, now after seeing the 3d terrain, I kinda wish I had taken those as well. Well, have to survive with the acrylic tiles :).
When Martin was talking about the rules on the back of the tiles, I actually first heard: 'you used to have to use these rules sh-t' instead of rules sheet. 😂
Beautiful! Really looking forward to this one... I went all in on this and can't wait to play it! Great work Awaken Realms, you knocked this out of the park! Thank you!
I got everything but the terrain. I think they're neat, but getting nice acrylic tile and then immediately looking for the miniature to place after getting it seemed odd for me. They're quite beautiful tho. I cannot wait to get this version.
If you bought this, it better be your favorite game. I got a copy of the original game with metal silver ore for $15. I liked the game but I've only been able to table it twice. This is beyond excessive.
This game is probably the reference of modern euros. It is an all time classic, and probably top 10 of most of the euros lovers like myself. So yes, probably most of the people who supported this project love this game and have it as a favorite. And the previous versions were horrible tbh
So sorry mate. I have the original one too but it is just ugly. And the anniversary edition is just too colorful and overcrowded. So yes, this is the edition this particular classic game deserves. At least in my personal opinion. Of course original version has still a place in little euro hearth
@@LucasDaniel-rz7ki lol don't be sorry. I don't think it's ugly at all. It's just not petty. It's easy to see and is very playable. I would consider a new version with the new art if it were $20-$30 but the price tag is just hilarious to me. I don't love the game either so that matters. It's a solid 8 imo. No one else in my game group or family rates it as highly as I do which is why I can't get it played much.
I wish I had found this project before it was funded. I would have gone all-in! I really hope that the the game and all the extras will be available for retail in the near future. I stopped purchasing board games about five or six years ago and play them mostly on board game arena now but a friend got me to play a game of CoB there and I was completely hooked. What a great game! This is one game that I do want to have in my small collection now.
props to awaken realms!! they ryl did an amazing job on that special edition!! i hope the special edition of Robinson Crusoe from Portal games also comes out this nice (if it ever delivers...) but i kinda doubt it cause AR set the standards ryl high on that!!
Omg I am getting everything everything presented here! I donno if to play with 3D pieces or the poker chips. But nothing for sure is I’m gonna keep everything forever!
Phenomenal how Marcin can at the same time praise how useful the rules on the back of the tiles are - and promptly leave them off of the super expensive acrylic tiles. Like exactly no thought was put into them apart from selling easy bling.
I disagree. It would have been prohibitively expensive to print double sided acrylic tiles in 5 different languages. If they had done that, everyone would have complained about the price. Single sided, language independent was the only way to make these acrylic hexes and offer them at a decent price point.
@@truelazerlight a circular argument - first: would it be truly „prohibitively“ expensive? Second: if they don’t serve any purpose and and worse than the punchboard, you are not upgrading, you are downgrading. Upgrades should also add - otherwise you are just up-selling useless bling. In our day and age I find that at best a questionable proposition and at the worst: a blatant cashgrab. But as long as people are fine with it - it seems to work
@@stormburns Thanks for the completely useless argument. I didn't say it couldn't be remedied by some DIY. But it is valid criticism, that a 33USD plus tax "upgrade" is actually a downgrade .
LOL, 0:44 they made such a big deal about the Lords of Ragnarok unboxing being in the video description below, then forgot to add the video in description below SMH.
This girl is uncomfortable. It feels clear she has never played the game and did not follow the campaign. It’s like they are on a date and she is not impressed. Expecting her to yawn any moment.
Lol nah I think that’s just her personality or something. She’s definitely played the game and is a board gamer. That’s usually her vibe but the video quality and the detail of the games she goes over is comparable to no one else currently.
He was just piling components on the table, whereas she was showing how they work together - for example, putting the duchy board onto the player board and the honeycomb on top of that - she wouldn't know to do that if she didn't know the game. A stupid comment and says a lot that you think that looked anything like a date.
