My late cat used to point to problems too. Once let me know that the garden tap had split & was spraying out water by calling me to follow her outside & then beautifully clearly pointing.
I knew a cat that would circle around the item, then look you in the eyes and point at it with her(?) tail❤ it was a big snow eskimo looking cat, such burly fur lol
Well, it may well understand, at least the meaning behind the sound, as well as the associated body language. But cats are contrary, and in this case, I reckon the cat has worked out that that area is for communication, and is seeing if it can communicate with the human on the cat's terms, not the human's. It's almost saying "I shouldn't need to press a damn button. They're making you stupid. Everything I'm doing should tell you what I'm asking, it's just you're not paying attention to anything but the buttons, silly monkey." And yes, I'm probably overthinking it, but I care not 🤣
@@HunnyBee23 Ignorant is a strong word, especially because of its connotations. Be careful with your word choices or people will think you're rude and "ignorant" of social behaviour. I think being ignorant of a particular pet owner on the internet and their specific word buttons is much better than being ignorant of how to behave in a civil manner in society. Try reworking your sentence to be reasonable and you will get much farther (in life in general). Now after all that, if you look at the original comment, first of all it was easy to tell that it was well meaning (that's the effect of lol) and that the sentence was more about not understanding the cat rather than the buttons. The buttons joke was referencing BilliSpeaks (RIP) and her mad button.
Forget the buttons, look at the body language! I think they got in your way of understanding her! My male cat escalates body language to "naughty" behaviour but he's trying to communicate. Now I listen and follow him and he shows me what he wants ❤❤
Absolutely 💯 I recognised the problem right away and it was frustrating when the woman was sounding inpatient with them but I was feeling the same about her 🤦🏼♀️
@@suzie_lovescats, I really doubt she was being impatient, it didn’t sound like that at all, she’s trying to teach the cat how to talk, which it does, so I really don’t understand people like you, cats happy, human is happy, dog is happy, yet there’s always a problem.
OMG the dog is so innocent and lovable! In the middle of the frustrated kitty screaming for her Mahm to move that gross toy off of her bed, the dog trotted in just blissfully oblivious. He came in, probably for the 50th time that day, just to let them know he really digs this friendship!
I think that they're both on the same page when it comes to their human 😅 the dog just came in to give a stab at it. Seemingly putting the emphasis on the relationship that you spoke of between them, moving in hopes that maybe if I ask her, then she'll confide in me. Like brothers and sisters do, when they talk about their parents behind their backs 🤭
All cats would lol it wasn’t the problem. They just assumed that because the cat stepped on the bed and randomly stepped on the bed button on accident. Cat just wanted food and scratchies
Cat was super clear what it needed. The dog was in disbelief that mom was not listening, then hit the "what?". Humans think they are so much more clever.
I feel sorry for the cat. this torture/teasing is unnecessary, and obviously this human thinks their animals are there for internet clout/entertainment. Dogs might be able to train humans with these buttons, but cats? dont care to train humans. they've already done it at least twice in recorded human history. Yes, we are trained by cats, and dogs are trained by us. so dogs, conversely, can train us better than cats will with these weird speech buttons, because they can't live without us but cat's are fine without humans. they train us, we train dogs.
That cat is looking at her like ,”you’re just not getting it.” That is absolutely adorable that she pointed at the toy in her bed. Animals are so intelligent ❤
@@therealCamoron what part of intelligence doesn't mean "laziness" isn't a thing? Humans are smart, but can be lazy to move things and want someone else to do it for them.
It’s like dogs are so emotionally stable but oblivious to wtf is going on. He pushed the “what” button probably thinking “why is she freaking out!?” 😂😂😂
She was so clear about what she wanted when you watch it again!!!!! Walking to the bed, Pointing to the bed, looking at the bed, pointing to the toy and sweet dog trying to help ❤❤
hard for me to watch the frustrated cat trying to communicate with the dumb human. like, "it could all be so simpleeee... but you'd raaatther make it haaarrrdddd!" **Lauryn Hill voice**
Cats are very accustomed to using specific body language and meows to their human owners as they don’t meow at their own species. So they are already “ talking” to us in a sense. Which is why they are les prone to using their talk buttons and set on their ways - my hypothesis
I think that's a very good one. I've always been alittle 50/50 with the buttons and choosing whether to use them or not, both my cats 100% understand English at the very least my English and dialect I've taught them(which is why when close visitors are over using their personal nicknames or making new ones is important) so I'm worried that if I taught them buttons I would do it inaccurately and regress what they already know 😓
@@unicornwizhez4115 I think it is still worth a try and research first? cause it does seem better in the sense of us humans udnerstanding what they want , since they can use the buttons to convey their intentions in a language we can better understand
@@林T-k5m right and can you imagine the frustration that we NEVER keep in mind when they have something they want to tell us and can't. Like it might even seem like it's frustrating to them at first to use the buttons but in the long run, cuz they're not dumb, they recognize cause and effect when they see quick results they'll definitely also find it worth it.
If it's the dog's toy, then it makes sense why the cat wouldn't want to move it. She wants the human to move the toy instead so that the dog doesn't think she's trying to play when she just wants to lay down and rest.
Body language is just as important as “speech.” She was communicating very clearly what was upsetting her. The insistence on using buttons for every interaction is a bit much, honestly. The dog showed amazing empathy, at least!
Cats and dogs are way smarter than people give them credit for! I had a yorkie and i taught him to add and subtract! ( Example: I would ask him whats 1+2 and he would paw at the floor 3 times )
My cat meows like that too it's so cute. Seems like fluffy kitties maybe do that? Lol I feel like it has to do with a long tounge but I absolutely adore it xD
Looks like there needs to be a “cleanup” button… to get Human to move stuff off things, out of things, away from things… and of course to clean things up.
Communication happens in many ways and it’s easy to miss it sometimes! We’re all animals, doing our best to sift through stimulus, bias, and so much more constantly. True communication isn’t about immediate understanding, but the ability to get to the common ground. They got there; she was listening ❤
