As we all move gingerly into 2022, wondering what this year will deliver to the world, we are fortunate to still have our eyes firmly on delivering 4 more shows together in Australia between now and mid-April as we wrap up this phenomenal chapter in our lives. It is heartbreaking for us not to get to the rest of the world with this final show of the original six-piece, so we are relying on our music to take the trip on our behalf.
Today we are happy to offer you The Crowd, recorded live at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl at our final hometown concert in December. It was an epic night spent with friends, family, our crew and thousands upon thousands of Melbournians, many of whom have been with us for the 2-decade journey of our career.
The Crowd featured on our very first album and quickly became a crowd favourite. It fell off the setlist at some stage because, frankly, we got bored with it and because whatever new songs we were releasing at the time were jostling for space on the list. But it felt great to dust this one off and give it a good blast one more time.

Formed in Melbourne, Australia and adored the world over, The Cat Empire is a musical success story that continues to be written. Throughout their 20 year career, the band's stratospheric trajectory has continued unabated, becoming one of Australia's most successful musical exports, growing an army of ardent fans at home and abroad.
Since their teens, the six bound together by a love of music, and bolstered by the career-long guidance of Manager Correne Wilkie, have gone about the business of crafting infectious, genre-embracing anthems and releasing chart-topping, multi-platinum albums to take to the live stage. In September 2021, The Cat Empire announced that after 20 years, the band's original line-up would play their final shows together in a series of massive headline shows around Australia, a final festival performance at Bluesfest and a virtual concert.
The next chapter of The Cat Empire begins with founding members Felix and Ollie stepping forward with "a re-imagined, vibrant, cross-cultural, and joyful collective of musicians and artists".
