I really should just eat healthier on those trips- they always end up in junk food galore. I think if I ate a clove a morning my wife would divorce me, she hates the smell of garlic. Haha yeah it's anywhere from 2hr 45 mins to 3.5hrs depending on traffic. Honestly it's not always easy to motivate myself to go that far but luckily having a youtube channel helps light that fire a lot of the times. I feel like I need to get a video out and then once I'm out I'm really happy that I did. But I also have a lot of vacation right now so it's easier for me at the moment. Don't feel bad if you can't get out that much man that's life. I hope you can though soon

Hey man good to hear from you! I didn't know you were having that many boat issues that sucks to hear. It's never cheap with boats unfortunately. I hear ya on turning in to a monster if you don't get out and I was starting to get pretty bad late summer in to fall when I wasn't getting out. If you want to get out some time this winter just give me a call or text I'll get you out for sure. I have a lot of time off since I worked too much this year so I can go if you can and the weather is doable. Have a great Christmas bud!

Thanks man! Yeah that place is crazy, one of the few places that has structure and it happens to be next to one of the deepest holes in that area. That ledge has produced so many times for me. If you ever see me fishing there feel free to come up and say hi and fish that area too. Hopefully I don't bring too much attention to that spot with these videos. I think I'm done hitting it for a bit to get some variety in my videos. Just hard to resist it. Hope you get out soon!

Thank you and glad you liked it! Yeah my main line is 30lb Big Game mono, my leader is 80lb Eagle Claw mono. I go with the heavier leader for abrasion resistance but it's a trade off. If I get snagged I'll loose everything where as if you have a lighter leader line you may only loose the hook. Still, I prefer having that heavier leader to resist their sandpaper like teeth.

The rods are B'n'M Silver Cat Elite 7.5ft med/heavy casting rods. I absolutely love em they have enough give that you can feel the fight of a smaller cat but all the backbone needed for slinging 10oz weights and catching big cats. So far they haven't broken and never let me down. The burping thing was just the tube out of my livewell which is a 1" pvc tube. I should probably have a longer one because it almost didn't go far enough in to burp him. I bet a pex pipe would be better and safer for the fish. I couldn't believe how much air it had in it I really don't think it would have been able to get down on it's own.

Hey man sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, I had to work out of town this week and been busy. For the hooks, I use the Mustad 3x 10/0 ultra points. I get the 25 count packs from Amazon and choose the Modern hook style. It'll say 3x strong in the title but don't select the 3x option in the selection or else they will basically be shark hooks and too thick to reliably puncture a catfish mouth. The Modern style is what I use. They are in line which makes them legal in a lot more states too. As far as the knot, I switched to the snell and it seems to help a lot and is very strong. I always make sure to bring the leader line through the back and out the front of the eye to help with hook setting. Hey man thanks for watching! I put in at Marshal Hall Landing, it's a little south of Ft Washington right across from Dogue Creek cove on the east shore. It's free and is a great ramp. It's open 24/7 and has a porta jon. I think it was around 44 to 45 degrees when I was down there which seemed like a great temp with the way they were biting.

I never really thought about that, but I guess most of my spots are closer to the MD side. I have fished the VA side but I have more luck on the eastern shore. I think it's because the channel tends to be on that side more and I like to fish the channel ledges. But there's plenty of spots on the VA side of the channel that work well too. Those are some catfish rattles I found on Amazon. They have propeller style wings on them and supposedly spin in current to rattle more. So far I can say they don't hurt the bite but can't tell if it's helping yet. They are called XFISHMAN-Catfish-Rattles. Thanks for watching!

I went with the smaller net because I'm usually by myself and often fish a lot of current. Holding those giant nets in the current with one hand and trying to net can be a pain for me so I decided on the 80. I've never found a fish that looked big in that net though and it's been plenty for me. I also have a pretty small boat so that was another reason to keep the net a little smaller.
