Long time since I've seen "the cathedral", and its still as amazing as I remember it. Think the soundscape is great, Suk Kyu Lee did a great job. Its a shame that I only got my laptop speakers though...
This is so great to watch with Vangelis' song 12 O'Clock playing. I find it hard to describe in words, but it feels so wonderful. In just a few minutes, I've felt more than I ever could. Hollywood pales in comparison.
ESTE VIDEO LO VI HACE YA VARIOS AÑOS, RECUERDO QUE SE LO MOSTRE A TODO EL MUNDO, PUES LA HISTORIA ME IMPACTO. LA ANIMACION Y EL DISEÑO CONCEPTUAL ES IMPECABLE, FUE EL PRIMER VIDEO QUE BUSQUE CUANDO ME ENTERE DE RU-vid. NO TENIA IDEA QUE ESTE VIDEO LO HABIA HECHO UN ESTUDIANTE DEL VFS. ESTO HACE EVIDENTE LA SUPERIORIDAD DURANTE EL TIEMPO QUE TIENEN EN ESTA U, PARA MI ES UN PRIVILEGIO QUE HAYA GENTE QUE PUEDA SER PARTE DE UN CONOCIMIENTO DE ELITE.
This video has been selected by the channel as one of the best Animation videos on RU-vid and was added to the channel's playlist accordingly. Thanks for sharing. Regards, bestofYTchannel
There were a couple of occassions that I was not convinced with the footstep sound. Not sure why. Everything else was fantastic. It was so good that I kept forgetting that I was listening for soundscape and started falling into animation. That for me is good sign.
OKAY GUYS YOU DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ! the student didn't made the graphics, he made the sounds effects and the music. the visual media has nothing to do with any students of vfs, its from platige image !
@FuzzbyStew there doesnt really seem to be any ridiculously pointless meaning behind it, its just the idea of something devouring the unwary traveller.
@HAWKNUTS4 or, how the renaissance was created using the ppls as it's pilars, just how the GHOTIC cathedral (renaissance arquitecture) needs its rocky pillars
holy.... that was amazing, the best animation I've seen from you guys in some time now... the music set the mood pretty well, but there should have been more, powerful, if you see what I mean. Even though there wasn't a lot of story to this, the concept was really cool. nice work!
Very nice work, though there are a few things I would have done differently. The part where the lights came and lit up everything there were noises that made it sounded like walls being destroyed.. when clearly the light actually helps these plant-like things grow and not shatter. So instead of a deep rumbling sound it should have been some high pitch noise matching the sharp brightness of the light. But even this isn't a flaw or anything, just my thoughts on the work. Nice job
an interesting work i especially liked the dragon cloud at the end although, more work could have been given to the man's feet (they were not so symmetrical with the rest of him, and his steps were kind of awkward) other than that, great work!
whoa...heavy. i was a lil confused at first but in the end it was a all beautifully brought together. by the way did lord of the rings2 influence any of this? the inside of the cathedral looked like the hall of moria: the hall of the dwarves that the orcs took over.
it seems like from the darkness, religion has lighted their destiny to become something bigger then them selves. towards the end it looked like heaven will never be close enough.
I have a question... because I know that is Baginski's film - so... who relay make this film? *Tomasz Bagiński help also with The Witcher game... so I don't understand all that! Please repost...
Why did that guy go there? Did he know that was going to happen? Was this some kind of pilgrimage or was he just exploring in the worst possible place at the wrong time? So many questions.
