@@Criticalthinking01 he had no delegates from his state, he has lost all the excos in the state to the incumbent governor who was supporting Osinbajo for the primaries.The Ogun delegates were to be shared between Tinubu and Osinbajo.Osun, Oyo, Lagos were all for Tinubu, Ekiti was for Fayemi and Tinubu.So tell me where his delegates were coming from?
Baba, please do your research very well. I am from Abeokuta and I knew their political journey and story very clearly. Tinubu has never made SIA. Amosun rose to limelight in 2003 through Obj ladder under pdp as senator because they are both from owu township of Abeokuta and that was the reason why he was voted as a senator between 2003 to 2007. Amosun politically worked against Tinubu party (AD) which Osoba was the sitting Gov. in Ogun state then. Amosun big politically through Obasanjo not Tinubu. So, Tinubu has never made Amosun and Amosun didn't allowed him to influence his govt between 2011 to 2019 as a Gov. of Ogun state. More to it but I rest my case for now.
You are correct, Amosun was already a notable politician before he joined the political camp ( Action Congress) of Asiwaju. However, you cannot dispute the fact that Tinubu gave him enormous support to become governor. They defeated the federal might of PDP and the well oiled political machine of OGD(Gbenga Daniel).
@@mcdaniayo3711 My brother, we're not fighting or here for argument. Rather we're here trying to set the record straight and enlightening the younger ones. Amosun performance at the 2003 election when he contested for governorship under ANPP was what made the then AC adopted and agreed to let him be the party flag bearer because they lost their most popular candidate after the election (Dipo Dina). Aside that OGD was the sitting governor then, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun then was the most popular politician in Ogun state. AC knew clearly that if they are to take the state from pdp, they have no choice than to use SIA since DD Direct has died. Of course BAT has always be their political senior brother because he participated in 1993 election and to be sincerely with ourselves, BAT understood politics even more than some of his senior colleagues and brother such as Chief Olusegun Oshoba. As of Nigeria of today, BAT happened to be among the few most experienced politicians. Before pdp started had problem from federal, one of the greatest mistakes they made in south west was that they lose SIA to another party in Ogun state. Even BAT himself knew that SIA happened to be the best politician in Ogun state in terms of everything and that was the reason why people like BAT himself, Chief segun Osoba, PYO and others in Ogun politics ganged up against him in last election that brought in eleyi of Ogun state. But to be sincere with you, I was very happy when SIA stepped down for his brother at the apc presidential election. That was my expectation from him.

Obasanjo with Martin Kuye factionalized the PDP in the state by trying to impose Olurin and they made the job easier for Amosun and ACN. Tinubu don't help Amosun... Amosun is a big boy like Tinubu... Amosun is one of the few that form PDP and is one of the few people took Obasanjo from the prison to became president.... The story you are talking is after thought
Bullshit...Amosun was and still is,never at Tinubu's level. Which Big boy? Amosun and Tinubu were never in the same political party..Amosun was in Pdp and later, Anpp. He tried and failed to become governor on those parties platform...His ambition to become governor brought him to Tinubu where Tinubu's ACN made it possible for him to achieve his ambition with Segun Osoba's structure..Amosun only became Asiwaju's enemey when he consolidated his hold on power...He was Buhari's associate in ANPP long before Buhari met Tinubu..But Amosun NEVER had the clout to influence anything for Buhari in SW. 2011 was a test case with Pastor Bskare. They all failed. Tinubu was NEVER in Amosun's class. But all that is in the past. Amosun stood up to be counted when it mattered most. I will always respect him for that. SIA, is a straightforward person unlike those, eye service Aregbesola and PastorProf jumping from mountain to mosque praying for their mentors premature death for them to grow. Tinubu is better off with Amosun than all these hypocrites. With Amosun you know where he stand.

PDP was a miltary hijacked and propelled party in 1998 and Amosun was never smong the Ekwueme G that formed the party. The Miltary cabal of IBB, Danjuma and Gusau used Abubakar Presidency to draft Obasanjo into the race. Orji Kalu with 100m Naira led the civilians to refurbished Obj financially for the race..Then Atiku, then Bakare Motors in Lagos etc..Amosun was not a factor st all. I challenge you to proof this. Obj lost the election from his ward tLG and ogun state and entire SW in 1999..Where then was the Amosun factor? 4 years after, in 2003, Amosun was following Buhari.. They are all party men from different states, should your Jagaban be Lagos governor and at the same time be governors in other states? Can Chief Obafemi Awolowo build western region all alone without the people you are mentioning? Why are you psycophants and praise singers not take examples of rational societies to develop good virtues among your listeners?
