@MKBoricua Absolutely not, he put a big hit in 2018 with is last album, and then didn't do no more album after that, due to some legal problems at a time, and now he is fully into fashion just like Pharrell and a family man, sorry to tell that at least him he is getting more mature by the time compare to some Canadian guy rapping about te same thing with girls over and over
The problem with every single one of Drake disses, he got them from Kendrick albums or from people he thought would sell him info. Anyone that has listened to Kendrick and can understand knows that Drake got everything wrong. Like when he said Kendrick got touched. And as far as the info he purchased, they are laughing at how easy it was to take Drake’s money. Nothing Drake said is factual and it makes me wonder if he actually listened to a single Kendrick track himself. If he did Drake doesn’t understand lyrics…just like his fans.
The craziest thing is on Euphoria Kendrick says "fabricating stories on the family front cause you heard Mr morale" and then Drake does exactly that on the heart pt. 6, creating a fake story based off (a misunderstanding of) a song on Mr morale
Family matters was good but drake thinking it was enough to kill kdot is comical. Drake really thought he destroyed kdot with this track. Little did he know meet the Graham's and not like us was aimed at his head the whole time
@@smoove2432facts I can’t believe people like that crap the beat is trash the flow is trash the lyrics are mid no schemes or wordplay nigga spitting a hate poem and everyone starts glazing 🙄🙄

Same, but after hearing this track again. Ngl bro… not just this track, but a lot of this nigga discography aged poorly if you attempt to decipher the lyrics to his songs including Family Matters.
@@karmmy365 it is good bro yall gotta stop acting like anybody else would have done better against KENDRICK. he’s dog walking everyone and doesn’t have any dirt fr
I can't believe people didn't clown Drake for the way he started this song. Black people don't go around worrying about their “n-word pass”. He should have ignored the topic and just kept on saying the word, that's what any real black person would do. Saying the word in defiance like that gives off a “it's just a word, why can't I say it🤓?” vibe.
This is what I’m saying! Don’t address stuff in a battle it never ends well. Drake was in the defensive the whole time because dot kept bombing on em. He just should’ve bombed back every time but he didn’t
@@ministryod i hate casuals. youre supposed to rebuttal the other guy and flip their hardest bars. drake flipped everything kendrick said while kendrick dropped pre-recorded schizo slam poetry and a pedo anthem without addressing anything. drake outrapped him and won easily if youre judging it right.
@@chainlink2348 I ain’t no fukkin casual so let’s get that out the way. Also, you’re misunderstanding me. Drake was on the defense the entire time. Because dot was hitting him from every angle imaginable. You have to power through something like that. Not defend yourself. Drake even tried to defend against the pdf accusations and it made him look worse. Did you even listen to the damn songs? I’m judging this off of skill and the ammo used. And family matters was prerecorded to. What you think he recorded family matters AFTER euphoria? 😂 Your man got obliterated and a whole lot of people agree
How is it so simple to dissect bars consistently but it’s confusing to get Drake mentioned smashing riri cuz asap said it first. Not like he said it for the sake of it idk
Actually Drake brought up Rihanna on “fear of heights” talking about he’s anti and the sex was average with her and shit for no reason. Love the song but he did mention Rihanna for no reason.
Why did he skip the line where drake played on the Prince vs MJ. I thought that was the coolest part of the song lyrically, that was so annoying he skipped that part randomly (Edit) He did it for copyrights
This song is just so corny, i can't. Shake that ass for free. But let me clarify, not that kind of free. You see, this was a double entendre, and I'm actually aluding to Dave Free, the guy i was just talking about... yeah man...we got it the first time. Your not deep. And that line about "tears running down my face laughing" while trying to sound tough is so cringy. Literally just the "I'm not mad, I'm literally laughing so hard right now 🤣 🤣🤣" meme
I’ll say this about Family Matters. It was a valiant effort from Drake and it would honestly win a rap battle with a lot of other rappers but unfortunately Drake was going against Kendrick. And Kendrick is Kendrick. You know what I mean? Drake was doomed to fail from the beginning but I’ll give him props for Family matters just purely because it’s a good song and I like listening to it. I don’t care for what he has to say in the song but I do like listening to it.
@@TheTryhardBeast12 I just think he is I don’t know that for sure. It just looks like an “if the shoe fits” type of thing. That song has a few lines that sound like they’re aimed at Drake

I love Drake’s music, but he has never made a project as great as Long Live A$ap. The last beat switch on Family Matter is absolutely beautiful. I skip to the last beat switch everytime I play this song.
@@hesii6295 I mean putting context to the fact that at the moment of the beef it was more ppl than just kendrick coming at him it made sense why he had to structure the disses like that. yea Kdot was the main event but he still had other niggas who was blatantly dissing him too (and before any kdot fans starts typing no i am not a ovo stan)
Nothing he said about Kendrick really alters him as a man.. the Drake allegations make his music ass and his image is just beyond unbelievable at this point.. he really look like a poser white boy with money at this point.. stealing the sauce from all those ATL co-signs, all the reference tracks and soft boy emotional love stories just don’t hit the same.. you act tough for raps, the identity crisis and need to feel black just sticks so hard and makes sense, it’s easy to believe because you can hear it in the music and see it in the way he moves..
Yeah even his good shit sounds fake tough and the other times like a grown man gaslighting the fuck out of a 20 year old girl in melodic form 😂 manipulator anthems lmaooo
Best RADIO diss track is family matters but the best DISS track overall is euphoria. I know the lyrics to both. Both hit hard in the car but its something about euphoria that just stings. It is different, objectively speaking
When I re-listening to this song made me realize how much I actually dislike it. The first verse was mildly annoying tbh. However, it the most innovative. Second verses were his best rapping. However… he use one flow throughout that verse which ages badly for my enjoyment of that verse. Third verse has the best beats, but eh… a lot of Drake’s talking points at this point are either debunked or completely unproven. A bar or two that ages very poorly. Overall a very bloated response.
@@CircumcisedUnicorn The second criticism, most certainly. The flow remained the same through the majority of the other project, but where it lacked a switch up in flow, it makes up for it with innovation and narration. The song paints a scene that I personally can visualize while listening to MTG. I can imagine Kendrick writing a letter to each of his family members including Drake as he talks to them personally about the person whose behavior over the years that shaped who Drake really is. Now, I’m not a blind listener. Of course I didn’t take what Kendrick said at face value. I did my own research and see that Kendrick’s claims sticks a bit more than Drakes. (At the timing of this post, basically all Drake claims are now proven false which now makes Family matters for me completely unlistenable) The daughter thing is the only point left in the air. People around Kendrick group claim that the daughter is real and just don’t want to expose her to the public out of her safety. Which I can understand and respect. However, Kendrick shouldn’t brought the little girl up if he didn’t intend to out right expose her to the public. Definitely a dick move if the daughter just so happens to be true. Either way, you can subtract a point off. Overall the track is very listenable despite the claim being left in the air, because Kendrick doesn’t really lean solely on the fact that Drakes hiding another child. He uses the daughter as a catalyst to further describe Drake bad behavior and how his lack of fatherhood could impact the alleged daughter behavior and women in general who lacks a father figure. Me personally, the daughter was the least talking point more so because of the other allegations were a lot more alarming so I legitimately get irritated when I see other people being more concerned about Drake having another child than OVO having sex offenders around Adonis. The fact that I typed this much sorta speaks volumes of how much content that was in this track in comparison to family matters. Production Wise, Alchemist’s beat paints an eerie scene with its piano driven music. It does it job well with setting the tone of the song. It commands us listeners to sit down, shut up, and listen. It has this nonsense attitude approach which hits differently from the music that we’re accustomed to. It doesn’t change, but because every other factor of the song, it makes it all work for this kind of music in a rap battle.
Lmao that shit was so goofy Drake said “I’m Mike” Then Kendrick said “ok you’re Mike I’m prince” So drake goes “wait wait no I’m prince and your Mike” he’s just not built for rap battles lol
@@10KintheBagnot really. I get what he was trying to do but saying the thing about appealing to the whites doesn’t land when Drake got plastic surgery. Much closer to Mike in that regard. It’s just childish to say no wait maybe I’m prince and you’re Mike. Kendrick wasn’t comparing himself to prince beyond anything but art.
Lol cmon show the man some grace. Yes when you really think about it him switching sides weakens his stance. However it was still nice. Maybe a bit too lengthy but I think it was solid
So basically Shawn doesn't understand anything on this song 😂 bro didn't understand a single bar, and when he said he did, his explanation of said bar was wrong 😭 I don't believe it, you're just super biased here, it's okay, but let's not pretend you aren't lol
This very reaction. Is the reason why “rap battles” have no winners. People have a winner in their head even before the first track drops. And whoever they don’t like, they react to him the way this guy just did to family matters. For him, no bars mean anything, he don’t understand ish and he don’t wanna go in detail of any wordplay. But let’s see his reaction to Kendrick bars. So for all you 9-5 folk, stop talking over two millionaires writing poems against one another. They both win. They both sleep well and made millions off of this “battle” We are the losers here
Isn't that what all sports are? Millionaires competing with each other for more money? Fans having their own fav teams before matches even start and are biased? But sports clearly have winners and so does rap battles, only here whoever has the highest public support clearly wins. Drake has a ton more fans but still the majority of support is for Kendrick, so that clearly shows he did much better.
@@LEO0DEVV sports is athletic ability based not agenda based. Not opinion based. If I am a Ronaldo fan, I will still give Messi his flowers when he does exceptional. I will stand up and clap for him. Because that’s what sports is about. There is a score at the end of the game. Goals vs goals, points vs points. Your or my opinion is not points, buckets are. Runs are. Rap battle has no measuring stick. Watch this very video, and see how this guy is treating Family matters, which was lyrically the best rap song of this entire battle. (Not like us is not a rap song and was the best overall song) But this guy and 100s of other Kendrick fans already made up their mind before the battle begun. Drake fans did the same thing. And since major mainstream media, social media, influencers and major artists all went against Drake, the illusion was Kendrick won by a landslide. That’s why rap battles are arbitrary poems. No winners.
@admed9262 Would you mind discussing this battle? I realized fandoms often clash and don't articulate their ideas well. Such as those to pull up accolades when lyricism is the subject. Why do you think this song has the best lyricism in the beef? And on the subject of lyricism, as a diss towards Kendrick and morphing his image for people outside both fan bases, what bars do you believe are potent attacks against Kendrick?
This was great diss but now when u breakdown the lyrics , kdot can easily break out of it. It like getting handcuffed by stick tape . I don’t know why drake says Kendrick needs to show his children constantly on social media.
Ngl Shawn has been def switching during this beef between Cole, Drake and even Kendrick….Kendrick def won, but Shawn pretending not to get the bars is crazy😬 lol
I’m just now realizing Drake insinuates Kendrick’s son isn’t his in one song but says it is Kendrick’s son in another. Can he not keep up with his lies?

This WAS NOT A GOOD SONG! The last beat he could have went for the throat! BUT THE NGA STARTED SINGING!! 🤦🏾♂️ hindsight is clear as crystal ….KENDRICK BEAT THE COWBOY SHIT OUTTA DRAKE FRFR 😂😂😂
Yeah but the only one actually doing dissing Drake the most is Kendrick. The beef was between Kendrick and Drake. Why bring other people who aren't really participating?
I would have took the whole first verse off. The way he spit on the second beat is the best flow but he wasted it talking about everybody else. The third beat is the best and he decided to sing on it. He should have put the second verse first to get rid of everybody else and then spent the next 2 beats going at Kendrick. He also shouldn’t have sung at all. This was just bad as far as how he delivered it.
I think he sang because Kendrick said "I like Drake with the Melodies, I don't like Drake when he acts tough" so Drake was basically trying to do both, acting tough whiles giving us melodies. It was very thought out but sadly we know what happened an hour later.
@youngsway8696 yea it just doesn't work especially since kendrick gave him. 6 mins of straight bars.and while drakes fans love his singing/rapping mix the hardest part of the song was directed at other people then he goes back into a even more singsong type of flow on the last part which really doesn't match the same energy kendrick gave him. It's essentially like someone throwing a rock at you and then you respond by throwing a pillow. I think where drake fucked up at was thinking he could just big boy him. He through family matters was going to be the kill shot but it wasn't which is why the heart part 6 seemed rushed and too defensive. I'm not even a drake fan and besides the illogical shit he said on that song. Lyrically that was actually his best song of the beef because he actually was rapping with a purpose and wasn't responding to other people who did not matter in the beef.
we all know kendrick won and shi, but watching this dude react to this was so hard 😭 i physically cringe when i hear someone meat munch and hate like this bro, it’s impossible
The pedophile stuff has been in the media for a looooong ass time. I understand needing receipts for the daughter allegations, but the pedo stuff has been talked about. Most of the stuff Drake aimed at Kendrick just didn't age well. The track is good but the information unfortunately is not
@@themoviecritic1092 The Drake pedo stuff has "been in the media" and has "been talked about"? I didn't hear anything insinuating evidence. What am I missing?
@@themoviecritic1092 I'm on the side of objective truth. I prefer to see truth before believing anything. I'm supposed to believe Drake is a pedophile because someone told me to believe it?
Let’s be real, no matter what Drake threw out there the Kendrick stans and Drake haters would’ve said he lost. This diss is great and with a video nonetheless… Drake didn’t take the L most people think he did… and this coming from a Kendrick fan who has Not Like Us on replay.
People just can't handle the truth. That's why a lot of people can't acknowledge Drake held his own in this. The tide is already turning in the perception of thr beef. A lot of people's viewpoint came from a hate for Drake (and not Drake himself but the position he has) and a godlike reverence for Kendrick. If you leave it down to the facts, then Drake has to be the winner. The fact that many people STILL hold Drake having the best diss whilst saying Kendrick won only proves my point.
Hate how you can breakdown any lyric Kendrick says but become dumbfounded whenever Drake raps. That’s why I don’t look at your shit. You have never liked him.
@@Rayebae738it was mid literally 1 decent scheme the ghost writer/AI scheme that’s it in an entire 5 min track bruh the glazing is ridiculous none of y’all actually listen to rap
This is not his first reaction to this, but still Shawn is super biased in this, he keeps saying every single thing Drake saying is lying, but in the kendrick videos he does none of that. If you can't even pretend to hide your bias, why even react to it? Might as well just call it trash before even listening to it and move on.
Because Drake was obviously lying. Even if we believe he fed Kendrick wrong information that lie in itself proves that what Kendrick was saying wasn't a lie it was just wrong 😂 but even we know that is a lie due to post beef.
Because there’s objectively more shit supporting Kendrick side more than Drake, nothing Drake said had weight or any support. Meanwhile almost everything Kendrick said has had past evidence of it happening
@@CircumcisedUnicorn I mean we don’t know yet, when pusha t exposed Drake it still took Drake months before he finally came out and claimed Adonis so it’s still on the table. Plus he has an extensive history of getting with multiple women across the years and that pusha t thing already happened. It’s much more likely to happen again than you think bro. Kendrick has way more evidence supporting his than Drake does
Easily the best song in this rap beef even though Kendrick still won. The hypocrisy is crazy calling out Drake lies but not Kendricks is hilarious and has been from the jump 😆.
