I think it would be cool if the Toymaker was revealed to be an intact Timeless Child without all the Gallifreyan meddling. It would certainly explain the Toymakers recurring obsession with the Doctor and would give RTD a chance to flesh out the whole arc a bit.
@@legendswarble2845 and would also tie into the fact that in the novelisation the Doctor says that he and Toymaker are from the same dimension. Very much doubt it will happen but would be funny nonetheless
@@dwfan91- they should introduce characters in the TV Show such as the Nine, the eleven & the Twelve possibly the One before he or she went into becoming Mad / Crazy
@@Simply_Jerry where? Please show me because it is literally not, also I think you mean the trailer for the anniversary as the new series hasn't had a trailer yet
With the Dreamlord you see the doctor blow the psychic pollen into space and then you see the Dreamlord again in the Doctor's reflection. If the psychic pollen was creating the Dreamlord. Then why does he appear after the effects have taken place? I always read his facial expression to mean that he lied to both Rory and Amy about who he is. I always got Celestial Toymaker vibes (in terms of how limited his control over actual reality is).
I always thought as the dreamlord as something similar to the valeyard created by the pollen but this makes a lot more sense, I don't think pollen is that powerful
Good explanation and interesting video I'm very excited to see the toymaker in action it'll be cool to see how much influence he's actually had, I definitely think 13s regeneration and the stuff surrounding Donna is down to him
There are suddenly dozens of explanation videos about the Celestial Toymaker, so how come like 10% of them or less mention he was a Chinese caricature played by a White actor? I mean, you don't have to let that ruin it for you, and the new version is modernized for 2023 (note that they've dropped the "Celestial" part of the name), but how are so many fans and content creators not even noticing this?
@@dwfan91- I'm sorry, but screenshots from Enlightenment to tell us he isn't the same as the Guardians or Eternals are important to bring up, but this isn't? Like I said, it doesn't ruin the return for me but I don't get people who want to know the details of the death games Steven and Polly played but don't care about what was actually going on with the presentation of the Toymaker himself. There's so many videos about the Celestial Toymaker that don't tell you anything about the Celestial Toymaker beyond a plot summary of one story. Doctor Who is about facing mistakes and getting better, but you can't do that if you just pretend the missteps never happened.
@@dwfan91- I agree. Was ok back then, not ok now so it's simply dropped and he is now just "The toymaker". It's not hard for a person to reason 'Hey maybe we should drop the 'Celestial' bit. Certain people are just upset they didn't scream from the mountains 'We Aren't racist' anymore. When it's more likely a creative meeting was held and they just said 'Hey that can be a racist term let's just drop it so we don't have to spend money to explain why we kept it".
