People really don't understand how much Chadwick's passing affected the MCU. He was the only infinity saga lead that people were really excited for post endgame
Lol people were excited for Spider-Man and Doctor Strange to return as well. Edit: Read your post wrong, thought you meant phase 3 leads only. People were excited for Thor and Scarlet Witch to return too among others, definitely not just Black Panther.
@@skatemo100 like he said ppl were really excited to see black panther that simple like you clowns always got to add something like what he said wasn’t true clown 🤡
Making a Black Panther 2 without the main lead was always going to be difficult. They ended up in the unfortunate position of "Dammed if you do and damned if you don't."
I still can’t believe that Chadwick Boseman’s is no longer with us. When I first heard about his passing 4 years ago, I was shocked and in disbelief, but when I found out it was in fact real, I didn’t know what to say. It is still sad to know that we’ll never see his performance as T’Challa progress in throughout MCU besides his appearance in 4 of the movies. Rest In Power Chadwick Boseman ❤.
2 Black Panthers (Brother & Sister) fighting together would've been epic. I think Namor would've kidnapped T' Challa's son instead of Shuri or still kidnapped Shuri while T' Challa is on his trip.
What tha phuck or you talkin' about? There would've been nothing epic about it. There has only ever been One Black Panther to Protect and Lead Wakanda. Watch the First movie again.
@@anubusx No they shouldn't have. I don't even think it would've been disrespectful it just wouldn't feel right. Recasting Rhodey and Ross made sense cause those characters meant nothing before the recasts. T'Challa was actually a main character with an important legacy in this franchise. And the film ended up being better for letting the emotional weight focus on his death and Shuri's journey
@@cainekass No, it proved the opposite. Nobody cares about Ross that character means nothing to anyone. T'Challa was actually a lead character that went through actual development.
I personally think that if the Boseman version had been made, Black Panther: The Two Kings or Black Panther: Two Kings would’ve been a perfect name, as it highlights both T’Challa and Namor, but I also think Wakanda Forever is the perfect name for the movie
I remember seeing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in the theater and I was sobbing. I heard several people sobbing in the opening scene. That’s definitely a memory I’ll never forget, film is great that way because it can bring everyone inner humanity out. RIP Chadwick… also screw cancer.
I wish that had been mine. In mine I had several teenagers LAUGHING during his funeral and the opening intro. I don't know if they wear laughing at the film, something on a phone or at something between them but regardless they wear showing ZERO respect.
As much as i love the film we got, it still saddens me that Chadwick was taken from us too soon. That man deserved a long life. RIP to the King. Wakanda Forever.
Chadwick Boseman is the only celebrity death that genuinely hurt me. I cried the day, and spent a summer just watching his movies; BP, 42, and Ma Rainey.
Knowing the massive undertaking that had to be done after the untimely passing of Chadwick Boseman, this film really came together the best way it could have, Ryan Coogler really is a super talented director and writer. Thanks for another brilliant episode bro.
I find it a very interesting topic, especially considering how the film Black Panther 2 might have turned out with Chadwick Boseman if he were still alive. Regardless, this actor will always be remembered as Black Panther, and may his soul rest in peace.
No it did not, continue on with the Iconic character & lead of the franchise by continuing his work by eventually recasting would've been true Honoring Chadwick! Acting & score was dope again but writing & story wasnt
I was heartbroken when I woke up to hear the tragic news of Chadwicks passing as the man was not just perfectly cast T'Challa, but he was an exceptional actor and human being who even with his condition he still dedicated himself to continuing with his career and I respect that he kept it to himself. Even without Chadwick in the role I did quite like Wakanda Forever and I thought even though it wasn't perfect, it was still an incredibly heartfelt and somber goodbye to both T'Challa and Chadwick, tackling grief, isolation, colonisation etc...and exploring other characters like Shuri, Queen Ramonda, M'Baku, Namor etc... Although I wish we could've gotten the original script of T'Challa and Namor facing off together, I do think this was of course a difficult situation and in my eyes they did the best they could and I think they did a good job respecting the character and actors passing. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman, rest in power my King👑🕊️🐈⬛ WAKANDA FOREVER🙅🏾♂️
Rip Chadwick boseman he will forever be the greatest black panther ever and I think the current version of black panther 2 is great as well and how they included him in the movie but I think this version would've been great too
I remember being at work and getting a notification from my friend that Chadwick had passed. I looked it up and started to cry after I learned that he had been suffering in silence which is relatable to me
That's a good one but I don't think there's been a whole lot of plot details come out, other than Derrickson wanted it to be a straight-up horror film. Truthfully, the final version could have it's own video since so much was cut out.
@@cinemaarts8795 I'm most curious about the writing differences. Famously, MoM was rewritten and cut apart and stitched back together many times and the script only came together months before shoot, which is why some parts are so poorly written -- despite Raimi directing the absolute hell out of the film. I doubt Derrickson's version would have been anywhere near as well directed, but it might've been a more cohesive story (or perhaps it was just bad, which is why he was let go??)
@@Visulth Or Derrickson wanted MoM to be more stand-alone, that's been a big issue with some directors (like Edgar Wright). I remember he also wanted Nightmare to be the main villain.
@kdusel1991 DON'T YOU DARE. That movie sucked absolute ass and I waited YEARS for it. It had no head or tail, no real rythm, what was even the point of America Chavez? Why ruin Wanda's villainy in Wanda Vision just to make her a villain in MOM anyway? WHY WHY waste the amazing set up for Mordo like that? The only redeeming element of the movie was the fight scene with the evil Doctor Strange variant. That was it. I don't even blame Raimi, since the shtshow is definitely credited to poor planning and this dumbass need to include the Fox MCU. What a waste. Shtty greenscreen too
Chadwick made the black panther movie special too me. It show about black history and a family drama and getting together and many more. But he is a Legend
This is my biggest “what if” movie as someone who is a massive fan of Black Panther. But also knowing that Marvel wanted this character to be such a big player in the Multiverse saga.
@@torrencesampson3584 with the critical and commercial failure of Multiverse of Madness and the Marvels and Letita Wright's controversial statements, those plans completely failed. Now Marvel is hoping Deadpool and Wolverine become marvel Jesus.
In the long run they should’ve just recast Delay the film for a few years Do your tributes, and move forward Now it feels like we’ll never see Tchalla again
@@Christian39521well they named T'Challa's son after him. So I think it was the filmmakers way of having the best of both worlds where they can Shuri as Black Panther for a number of years while also waiting until this new T'Challa becomes an adult and you tell stories about him when that day comes
@@bigstunna2049 His Black Panther just isn't as iconic as several other characters. You couldn't recast Iron Man, Captain America or Thor since they've been with us since the beginning. Black Panther had Civil War, his own movie and Infinity War, plus a short appearance in the climax of Endgame. Chadwick was good in the role, but not so good he couldn't be replaced.
No, they should have just left it as T'Challa returns home (as in the end of Endgame) and he either quietly retires, or he remains in the background while we focus on other characters.
I do think that Ryan Coogler made the best film possible out of a horrible situation. Chadwick's passing was treated respectfully and beautifully. Everything fits. Nakia doesn't need to be disrespected in favor of Storm now, as their son can now fill that role with some inevitable time jumps/incursion/multiverses ending/timeline unification to age him up. And it won't take away from Chadwick's legacy.
For BP2 I wish they pivoted by having either Daniel kaluyas character become the Panther so as to honour his best friend or a multiversal Kilmonger whose world was wiped out by Kang
It would have made a fortune if Chadwick Boseman was in Black Panther 2. In honor of Chadwick I did not watch part 2 nor do I want to and I'm sure I not the only one. He worked so hard to make the movie how could they not present it beats me.
Also,, your legible way of speaking lends itself well to captions. Your channel and work is accessible for readers that may be deaf or hard of hearing. Don’t listen to fools you’re doing great !
1:05 also in the comics T'Challa and Shuri have an Adopted brother named Hunter who was bullied by most of the other Wakandaian kids for being white he would also take on the mantle of the White Wolf after he was banished
😳 Man, seeing Chadwick again in your video, reliving the cultural impact The Black Panther movie had on the world, and seeing what could’ve happened next - all hit me really hard right now. I also remember how emotional it was to watch Wakanda Forever and the actors cry real tears on screen because they were grieving the loss of their friend in real time. And then the surprise of seeing his son at the mid credit scene. Man… there wasn’t a dry eye in the movie theatre… Thank you for sharing this breakdown while 1) explaining the challenge that Ryan Coogler had, 2) expressing the logic behind the creative changes that were made, and 3) still honoring Chadwick Boseman’s legacy in a respectful manner, and how he changed Marvel cinematic history forever. Well done, sir. #NewSubscriber
He was a true king to hold it down and take the pain in silence and not let use as his fans feel sad knowing there is nothing we can do but cheer him on and be happy for his long Success from where he came love you always and will see you one day again brother
RIP Boseman. It's a shame because this movie sounds much better than the underwhelming one we got instead. Honestly they should've just recast and did it in a way that honored him.
God, I wish we got this and so many more films with Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. But Coogler and everyone involved I think did a great job with Wakanda Forever.
While obviously the original idea of Black Panther 2 would've naturally been better as it would've been T'Challa's story continued, I do think Coogler and Marvel did the best they could to move forward after Boseman's death. No matter what they did, some fans would be upset. I think they upheld Boseman's legacy and showed alot of respect to him.
Chadwick’s T’Challa was also gonna be a part of the new Big Three, which was Spider man, Black Panther, and Falcon, but they were scrapped after the actor passed away RIP KING 😭
I So Sad Loss is Never See Chadwick Boseman Return and Original Version in MCU Timeline , But I Hope Can Make Happen of Chadwick Boseman Version on What If Season 3 !
I actually came out of Tenet when I read that Chadwick had passed and that hit me more than Tenet's twist. My only tiny gripes with Wakanda Forever are that despite sitting in a Megalodon jaw, there's not one in the film. Also the rumors of Doctor Doom made me hopeful that there'd be one.
I was hoping doom would be the reason for tchalla death in the movie fr...but I suppose I get why the director wanted shuri to not have someone to blame and whatnot
The version of the movie that was released really sat with me and made me emotional, not JUST bc the tribute they paid to Chadwick, which was extremely beautiful and heartwarming, but bc both opposing sides portrayed in the movie make up both of my ethnic backgrounds and just really hit home.
For once I think the final product was better, but I miss Chadwick so much. Only celeb deaths that affected me this much were Robin Williams and Jeff Beck.
I actually saw Chadwick Boseman before he became famous. The first role I saw him play was in an episode of "Fringe" in 2010, where he played a character named (you ready for this) "Cameron James." Yes, he played a character that had James Cameron's name, but flipped. So when I saw him as Black Panther in the teaser for Captain America: Civil War, I thought "Oh, it's Cameron James."
Black Panther 2 was still very good considering the unfortunate circumstances in which Boseman passed! to make a quality project with such short time and drastic alterations! I credit everyone who contributed to the adjustment!
Apart of me did wish he was recast but after seeing the movie I think it was well put together movie and one of the better ones in Phase 4. I appreciate the emotion that was put into this and I think they did a terrific job of honoring Chadwick Boseman. Plus at the end they gave Black Panther a son so in several years from now when the son grows into an adult they can tell more T'Challa stories later on and Shuri being Black Panther has a bunch of story potential. That's one part of the original draft I don't like where having two Black Panthers at once feels too repetitive. Superheroes have always had sidekicks and mirror copycats of each other but I felt like this was not only too on the nose but also wouldn't have brought as much story potential as what we got instead. And while Chadwick Boseman would want his legacy continue and recast even I'm that he would also respect Kevin Fiege and Marvel's decision on not recasting him
I felt speechless when I first heard about Chadwick's passing considering Black Panther is one of my favorite comic book movies of all time. I was like "Noo, that can't be true" but then the moment I find out it's a fact I just don't know what to say. It's sad that we're never gonna see his performance, and his character being progressed throughout the Multiverse saga and beyond besides his apperance in 4 films. I've always would love him interacting with whoever's gotta play Storm in the MCU considering they're lovers in the comics but I think it's gotta happen but with T'Challa's son. Rest in Power Chadwick Boseman
After listening to Dana Carvey talk about impressions, and cracking them and how he did Lorne Michaels and Mike Myers heard it and used it to make Dr.Evil, they should have recast T'Challa. To really carry on the legacy, you have another step in and keep the work going. The show must go on.
@@nathanieldiaz5254 No they didn't shill, sit down. Even Boseman said he wanted it to go on even if it wasn't him, initially telling us something. Only idiots think killing off a man's legacy was a good idea
@@EmperorGuyver Why the insults? You're actively looking for a fight where there is none. You think they should've recast him, I don't. No need to be disrespectful about it.
I heard the right complications for Namor was the reason why he was never referred to as Sub-Mariner and why his origin was changed so drastically, although I'm sure Aquaman was the main reason for that.
Chadwick Boseman was set to star and produce in a Yasuke the Black Samurai movie. Can you you cover that? Always wanted a Yasuke movie. My username is literally Yasuke the Black Samurai. After CA: Civil War, I really wanted Boseman to star as him. When the project was announced, it's like Hollywood heard me, man. But the universe disagreed.
