Lyrics:
Now the time has come (Time)
There's no place to run (Time)
I might get burned up by the sun (Time)
But I had my fun (Time)
I've been loved and put aside (Time)
I've been crushed by tumbling tide (Time)
And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)

It's very nice to read this as I 've designed a few decades ago a harp with modern popular music in mind. This harp was received very well by both classical and modern harpists of acknoledged fame. I' ve built on demand a dozen of this first model but I had to stop building them. I still have all the tools and jigs, but at the moment I am restoring a 1935 38 ft sailing yacht on which I hope to leave Holland by the end of the summer. I also have designed an electric harp which os not at all like the camac harp promoted by deborah henson-conant (she makes me nervous). My harp is very easy and cheap to build, has a very good sound, basic but also variable shape and is easily demontable.Being a bit of 'connoisseur' of music in general (from chambers brothers to albert fry, beau brummels to mary murphy-demers, listen to her verssion of whiskey in the jar, from les structures sonores to Q 65 (cry in the night) pearls before swine, mark murphy etc., ther is so much forgotten music that could be arranged for harp and then give something interesting. Now you probably know that the real inventor of 'modern' guitar playing was Sister Rosetta Tharpe (bo diddley and chuck berry were in the audience) so.... Best regards paul. p.s. I've no computer!

I’m 68 years old and on 5/8/2024 still listening 👂 and on 1967 and 68 I was 12 years old. In 1968 I went to Brooks Army Hospital to see my uncle that was wounded in the fighting in Vietnam. There were many wounded servicemen that had been brought from Vietnam and many their lives were changed for ever. That’s what I saw 👀 I went with my Grandparents and my aunt my Uncle’s wife to see him in that San Antonio hospital. So these songs from the 60’s bring back those awful memories for a 12 year old 👦. Other than that this is a great song 🎶 because the 60’s were a time of great music.

I agree that for most people they might as well have been a one-hit wonder but their cover of Otis Redding's "I Can't Turn You Loose" made it to #37 on the Hot 100. A Top 40 record is a "hit" so that's the definition most people use. They had a couple of other really great singles that SHOULD have been hits: "All Strung Out Over You" and "Funky". Paul: I was born 1953 Houston Texas Anglo, I carried a draft card. The war in Vietnam raged the entire 4 years I was in high school, I remember being called to the principals office where the nurse weighed and measured me for selective service. I was of the very last who "sweated the draft", gone are those days. I wonder how young people now would be had they been around "back then". -Stan

Time has come today Young hearts can go their way Can't put it off another day I don't care what others say They say we don't listen anyway Time has come today (Hey) The rules have changed today (Hey) I have no place to stay I'm thinking about the subway My love has flown away My tears have come and gone Oh my Lord, I have to roam I have no home Now the time has come (Time) There's no place to run I might get burned up by the sun But I had my fun I've been loved and put aside I've been crushed by the tumbling tide And my soul has been psychedelicized Now the time has come (Time) There are things to realize (Time) Time has come today (Time) Yeah
