We're back! The Changan UNI-V certainly has the looks, but does it have anything to back it up? Follow us! IG: @wheelsboy_auto FB: / wheelsboyglobal Website: www.wheelsboy.net/ #changan #univ #uni #sportssedan #compact #china #chinacars
I dislike Toyota but comparing it to Changan is insulting. Changan has better designs and cabin technology, but that is where any comparisons end. Toyota, despite their recent quality issues, is still lightyears ahead of Changan when it comes to powertrain quality.
Really like the look of this, especially for the price. The UK would welcome this. The emissions lot though would definitely see the 2 litre as the devil.
Just the design language of this Uni series is so good, exterior and interior, really interesting.. I would describe them as mouth watering.. And what is the best thing about it is its much cheaper than it looks..
Hi there, the UNI-V has a futuristic design that perfectly fits the youth's taste. Definitely, the 2-liter turbocharged version will have better performance.
Actually, pickup trucks are not popular in China. So, not many available choices in the market. Chinese prefer the mini van to play the role of pickup truck
@@hueyh5637 My dad took it on a test drive. He did not like it one bit cause it felt too unsafe and light almost as if it would turn into a pancake as soon as it got hit.
@@thegivingwolf6447 I'm really happy with it, I'm not a fan of its infotainment system cause it doesn't support AndroidAuto and when I link my phone thru Changan-Link it's a lil bit buggy sometimes... the turbo lag is noticeable but most of the time I drive in sport mode.. so it's fine. after 3 days when I got it.. I traveled to a different country (1000 KM) and I'm really happy with the comfort the adaptive cruise control is absolutely amazing but after around 4 hours of driving under the sun it got disabled and wasn't available. probably from the desert heat☀️🏜️ (around 45 Celsius)
Thank you for pointing this out! We meant to mention it in the video, but this UNI-V was used for test drives at our local dealership, and it was in a small accident prior to us picking it up.
@@1991Carrey I think the main thing is to solve the problem of charging speed. In China, taking No. 92 gasoline as an example, it is already close to RMB 9 per liter. The oil price is very expensive. In the long run, the oil price should not drop. Low, if the charging speed and the adaptation of the charging pile are solved, the tram will further improve the quality of life.
Nice review...but i am wondering why is it that most chinese car manufacturers have similar engine displacement and powertrain, it is either 1.5 turbo dct or 2.0 four pot turbo with dct....dont these guys try to be a little different??
Love the exterior and interior design. Has an Audi feel to it. However, given the very real issue of man made climate change and that it's 2022, it would be nice to see a fully EV of this
You want to see more EVs running in Chinese roads using electricity mostly generated by coal ? Evs are a scam in most countries they will endup causing more pollution
I seriously DON'T hate this car, If I were young, and maybe starting a family I see this car as a sensible choice which still has some fun and individuality built it. Only things which don't shine on this car, are the lower performance engine and the silly steering wheel. Oh and time for a haircut ;-)
@@1991Carrey Well...As far as I have seen, only CHANGAN uses this kind of steering wheel design for a more sporty vibe. They also seem really like those edgy external designs, and I believe their designers intend to make their car looks like Lambo for the same reason. Personally, I am not a fan of this kind of thing, but it doesn't harm to see more different designs in the market. :)
