I agree. Emma seemed to have some sort of power as a child. Interesting how the sister withheld some details of the fire. Feeling like Emma's sister and friend from dinner know about Emma's powers.
The woman who granted her the wishes did say "be careful what you wish for Emma". You are right that in Emmas case her wishes were very much so twisted.
I like the idea that her third wish was for wealth. It makes a lot of sense. I have the theory that her third wish was that her life would be like a fairy tale. It’s a thing “little girls” wish for all the time, without realizing that most fairy tales are DARK.
I too also thought about Apollo being a changeling himself. The red suitcase, the Mom and the fact that Calisto didn’t hurt him, something about him is special. At this point I only trust Apollo
@@jigen1504 Well I’m sure the baby was, it didn’t get a chance to grow up, but we don’t know if Apollo was a changeling yet, we are still finding out his story. He might be one that made it thru.
Great video! I find it odd that we’ve only seen Apollo eat once. He wouldn’t eat at Patrice’s, and he declined dinner with William. I also found it very interesting how the Dr. described baby Brian as enchanting. Why would a doctor describe a baby that way 🤔
Okay your breakdowns are UNMATCHED! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who picked up on Apollo referring to himself as a “monster” when he was yelling at his mom about the dream/memory of his pops. Also, I have a feeling Emma’s dad isn’t dead. When she was talking to her sis about what happened the day of the fire, she straight up asks her if dad survived and her sister makes a face and doesn’t really answer and I found that weird. Again, I will stay tuned and checking out your extremely well done breakdowns! 👌🏾
Could it be that Emma's third wish was to be a mother like her own mother? She had this false idea of her mother and thought she was the best mother in the world. And her mother was also possessed.
THIS theory would make since as to why she eventually appeared to lose it. Her sister indeed said, "you have the same look in your eyes like mom did". Now, if Emma was indeed born with supernatural powers, then her mother being the vessel, may have went through some supernatural experiences that could have caused moments of psychosis. It's called "spiritual psychosis"
I read the book and the third wish is a lot more simple than you think but it’s such a fun story and I love the series they’re doing a great job following the book.
The 3rd wish is REALLY this: A Life Full of Adventure. that’s in the book. now I think the show writers will expand on this but I doubt they will veer away from this considering the show itself is almost a replica of the book.
This was a fantastic take on this episode. I’m wondering if the 3rd wish was to NO LONGER be a witch. Maybe she wanted a normal life with her husband and baby. Maybe not being a witch left her unable to protect Brian from the Fae. Although…not sure how she’d then wind up on the island with the witches, but….
I actually like this theory. It could play in line with the story Cal told Apollo about the husband offering the child to the witch for his life for stealing the greens out the garden. I think we have Cal and her group all wrong. She spoke about how we protect our children. I believe after rewatching epp 4 Emma went to the island for protection. Emma was supposed to turn over Baby Brian for her 3rd wish to come true. 3rd wish being to not be a witch anymore. Apollo's mom did say that Brian was a gift. A gift to who and for what in return?
I couldn't wait for the week to week episodes so I read the book. I won't spoil anything, but I am curious to see if the show will stay true to the book and how it will play out! This show is excellent so far and your theories are great! I can't wait to see how the show explains the questions that are answered in the book, like the 3rd wish. They usually say books are always better than movies or shows so I am so excited to see what happens!
I’m thinking the 3rd wish was for a fairytale life or a fairytale ending. However I thot she was a witch as well. Also I’m getting the lady by the lake is Emma vibes.
Ok. My other wish theory in which ties into the lady at the river is Emma- 3rd wish is to live happily ever after. Thusly, prompting older Emma to body jump new Emma making her perpetually young forever. Wayaminute! This happily ever after wish actually ties into the fairytale ending wish. Maybe Emma wishes for happily ever after and she actually gets a fairytale ending.
Love your deep theories… I started watching you and subscribed from the FROM series videos. Now just watching these videos about this new show is going to have me subscribe to Apple TV app this looks really good and ur theories are unmatched by far out of all other RU-vid channels I have watched 🤷🏾♀️💯
just finished watching the video, man look, the magnifying glass is on 5000 and potent, is it possible that mystery box show is being popularized again, FROM, SEVERANCE, THE CHANGLING,
@@ReelEnigmasandTheories It makes sense because she said, “I just realized movies are called movies because they move.” Also, a witch (good or bad) doesn't tell a stranger they practice witchcraft. She just met Apollo.
Look at Patrice’s walls at 7:17 in this video. I missed it until now. All of his walls are covered in TINFOIL! Wtf? Also, I feel like it’s been pretty obvious for awhile that she is a witch and he is changling so nice to hear you suggest that.
One of the best breakdown’s I’ve listened. I’m completely dumbfounded by all the gems you dropped. I peeped a few points you made early but wow you took it to another level. Keep dropping this heat. Do you have a patreon? Much love from Dallas. ✊🏿 I do have one question. What do you believe the writers intent is to keep having Apollo refer to himself as a God?
🙏Peace and wellness. I'm fortunate to have you aboard. I don't have a Patreon yet. I do have a Cashapp setup for donations $reelenigma... I will be doing a Patreon and Discord page soon... I believe the writers are trying to say that Apollo is more than human. He also refers to himself as a monster. He mostly uses the, "I am the god Apollo" to conjure confidence in himself. It doesn't work on others because we see him try it on Emma while in chains and on the island by the water fountain and got his ass handed to him both times. He uses it in an attempts to make Emma stay in NY but she went anyway. Again. Thanks for joining this ride with us. Peace and wellness.
I wanted to know if it was some type of symbolic meaning of the maple leaf (on the cover picture of him and his son, there's a maple leaf right on his coat)? It also has that red string on it instead of a stem.
My big issue with the season is the writers pose 3 questions: What was the third wish? Where is Brian? What happened to the Norwegian ship? And they didn't answer ANY. OF. THEM.
whooaaaaaaaa aye man we here, i love both theories, my thought process was her giving her mom that command saying let me go while the house was burning down and what drove her to SALVADOR BAHIA cidade de africa, what drove her to the lagoon, as if she was tethered to something but 2 great theories
I think she was a witch before her wishes too. I also think that she wishes to be a good mom. I noticed when Brian and Apollos mom dated he said he wanted a do over. What was meant by that?
Emma 3rd wish was that she wanted to be a more powerful witch. Wishing to be a powerful witch would allow her to control her environment and keep things safe for her family. I agree with you that she already had abilities, that she is a natural "witch." The word witch has been given such negative connotations even in modern times and Hollywood continues to perpetuate that. Western culture historically always labeled anything they don't understand as 'witchcraft' meaning evil. Indigenous religions such as Santeria, Ifa, Native American spiritual beliefs, etc. Just like what the lyrics of Stevie Wonder's song says, "when you believe in things you don"t understand you suffer superstition..." This is what Emma saw on the subway as she birthed Brian. As always. I enjoy your videos and love hearing your theories. Be well❤
I believe we'll see in the next episode that Calisto senses or knows who was a changeling or non human and they would not be allowed on the Island. 🤔IMO That is why neither Apollo or William are changeling norr fairy Just husband's who've lost their children and handling their loss in different ways.
More rice and some veggies with that bare bones chicken, please? 😅 I am guessing that Gail is going to survive the massacre and will be Apollo's guide in finding Brian and Emma. I hope that her red backpack was not an editing goof. Even great shows have editing fails. Could catch either way.
