What happens to the changeling when they grow up? I need to know more about that and exactly what kind of iron it was? Also since I'm already in the void of weird what does it mean if the iron burns but leaves no Mark?
Most legends say that the changelings don't grow up or age very slowly- most say they stay children forever, which is what leads most parents to suspect them. As for the iron, there's nothing specific mentioned so anything should do :)
@@mileoinc9337they do not grow up except for if it is some kind of hybrid or a different creature entirely. You know a changeling by the fact they always look youthful and are immature in behavior. You can use discipline on a child to improve behavior but changelings will take This as a battle of wits and may act progressively defiant and violent towards you
something just occurred to me. ,':/ cant they just baptize the baby? cause either its their real baby and the baby would be fine, or the baby is a changeling and the water would harm the changeling baby
Possibly! Babies were definitely guarded and well watched before their baptism, though it's unclear what exactly would happen if one tried to baptise a changeling! It could harm them, or perhaps it simply makes them human? I've never heard a tale of it happening so it's hard to say. I know if a huldra in Norwegian folklore gets married to a human man in a church her tail falls off and she becomes human, I suppose we will never truly know!
