This a new page for Mombasa City. We used to be mocked but now we are silencing our skeptics. Tall buildings is the new norm and YES we like it. Cross Nyali bridge and you are greeted with skyline to your left (Nyali), right (Tudor), front (Tononoka), yet still Ganjoni, Kizingo is waiting. Spaki is now as well signaling the same trend. My only wish is to have them glass cladded to make them look modern. It's not a joke men, as you walk in Mombasa you catch the real feeling of CITY VIBE! Go Mombasa GO!

msa is gradually catching up..if only the govt could have been chanelling more resources in msa as it is in nrb,msa ingekuwa mbali sana but all in all..its trying atleast it competes with other capital cities here in africa
Development ni ground, buildings achia private owners. Development ni roads, highways, bridges, sidewalks, parks, bycycle lanes, BRT system, Metro rails, cleanliness, nice landscaping. Nairobi has nice buildings but lacks in pavements, sidewalks, cleanliness, Modern public transport. have a look at capetown city south Africa and look at ground development. Kenya is still far from development. Buildings are private properties.
Development is not in the hands of govt alone. When you see buildings sprouting it means development has trickled into the public pockets as well.......
I don't think they is anything in Dar that is not in mombossa mombasa is the biggest port in East Africa Dar second they are both port city but Dar is bigger in size but not nessasarly developed Kinshasa is bigger than both but least developed.

We're ndiye wavuta bangi , Dar es Salaam ligi yake Mombasa. The GDP of Dar es Salaam is 10 billion USD while that of Mombasa is 9.8 billion USD ndio maana na compare. Dar Ni kubwa Kwa size but not developed like Nairobi. Nairobi has more skyscrapers than any city in Africa. It only competes with Johannesburg.

In terms of port business mombassa carry the day in terms of Gdp are Almost the same. There is nothing that is in Dar that ain't in Mombossa lncluding railway line.

Sure brother and I only covered a very very small fraction of Mombasa . For past 10 years Mombasa has really grown big with uprisings every where. Then when the dongo kundu bypass and the Mombasa Mtwapa road will be done , things will really change here
am kenyan bro but why are we kenyans or africans so possesed with this skyscrapers issue for real😢.. coz a city aint defined by the number of skyscrapers it has,look at most cities in europe..most dont have skyscrapers but they are so beautiful,clean,security is good,clean water etc..thats what makes a city not the buildings.capetown doesnt have much skyscrapers but its gdp is higher than our own capital city nrb and its more developed and beautuful,same as most european cities. msa and nrb may have those highrised buildings but do kenyans feel proud of living in those cities?..coz the issue of insecurity,lack of sufficient water,slums,unemployment etc are the order of the day where only rich kenyans enjoy living in either msa or nrb,majority who are poor just live for survival.
True brother I second that, most of us think that having more high-rise buildings means that we are developed. We forget that development is not all about building but good roads, drainage, clean water, cleanliness, excellent power supply and so many other things
The tallest building in monbasa is not has even more than 20 floors and yet u comparing it with Dar that has more than 20 buildings with 36 floors and above
Bro Mombasa is not the same since 10 years ago. Most new buildings in Mombasa are more than 20 floors plus . Dar es Salaam is not that sophisticated than Mombasa their GDP is almost same

Can you leave Tanzania in Kenyan discussions please? Mombasa that has less than 250sqkm and you compare it with Dar es Salaam that has 1500sqkm. Take Nairobi which has 600sqkm and Mombasa 250sqkm add all other cities of kenya. Mombasa compare it with Mwanza or Arusha

Dar has more than 150km of BRT system and many other under construction. A system that Nairobi your capital city failed to implement even I km due to lack of funds ( theb you call Nairobi wealth😂). Dar has commuter trains at least two routes more than 20km and soon electrified Train routes will start from city to Pugu. Don't talk of sea taxes that commute people in and out of kigamboni peninsula, not talk of bridges, skyskrappers remember both Nairobi and Dar have 13 skyskrappers with over 100m.... What is developed in Nairobi or Mombasa that is not in Dar actually because Kenyans of nowdays especially youth are fools full of kenyan ego. Find another way to grow your channel not this way
