I just purchased the Max 8 combo, the low voltage doesnt drop to 50% when low voltage detect is activated it just stops. Is this notmal I'm used to traxxas still running for a little while before completely shutting down.

A sticky pad doesn't hold the esc down at all. It will fall out every run. Esc needs to be screwed down and cable tied down and even then sometimes it still comes out. 😂😂😂 If your esc is held in with tape you aren't bashing hard enough

Hey Lawrence I just got a fully upgraded losi dbxle roller with 800$ in aluminum upgrades and mip axles and barely driven that is insanely kitted out with upgrades in trade for a new kraton exb I bought on sale for 330$! I got a max5 combo to put in it and I'm glad I read your comment as I was planning on just using the double sided tape lol. Guess I'll have to fiqure a way to hard mount it up. Can't wait to get it out and ripping! Can't stress what a beast it is. It was an insane deal.

"A sticky pad doesn't hold the esc down at all" if you use good tape, it will need a crowbar to get it out again.

How well does the max 5 work with the spectrum firma 780kv motor that comes in the losi dbxl-e 2.0? And will I loose AVC if the max 5 is installed?

Have you tried going the normal route of emailing and or calling them? At least they made this video even if they don't offer tech support through the comment section

@@cwatson42785 It actually doesn't matter now, the max 5 failed after only 8 months and hobbywings warranty is only 3 mos. Guess they have no faith in their own products. At least castle has a 1 year warranty, which in all honesty, you'll need it.

@@Blueknight1960 Sorry to hear that brotha. That's tough. I've been a fan of hobbywing products and never had an issue. Sometimes we just have a bit of bad luck and get a lemon. What castle esc did you decide to go with? And also what pinion where you running on your dbxle with the max5? I just got a fully upgraded roller with over 800$ in upgrades that's been run like twice for a trade for an unopened exb! Such a crazy deal. Score of a lifetime! My first 1/5th scale

@@cwatson42785 Good deal on the trade. I've run it with 15-18t pinion and 46-50t spur. It was running fine and all of a sudden quit. Hobbywing offered to sell me another one at the low cost of $120 after they had conformation of me sending the other one back on my dime. I chose not too. I got the xlx2 and unfortunately, it didn't last a full battery pack. The negative post on the esc broke. I sent it for warranty, they are sending me a new one but who knows when it will arrive. They also told me that at 340 amps (highest amps according to the logs) it was too much for the xlx2 even tho on castles web site, they stated they tested the xlx2 at over 500 amps. But the amps mine used was too much. I wish I could afford the MGM esc and motor but at over $1400, I'd have to win the lottery.

My max5 frequently restarts under load , k8s exb, 56112 800kv 39/39, 100c batteries. When immediate full throttle, esc shuts off and restarts, then few seconds in 100 % functional again. A new max5 from a friend works fine, no issues, with my setup, escs exchanged. Connectors redone, pristine. Was going to do a firmware update but hey last update 5 years ago? Any clue what this could be?
