👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I am SUPER impressed with the well thought out floor plan, the tour guide, and all of the common sense additions! Out of all of the tiny home videos I’ve watched, I have NEVER heard a manufacturer mention aging as one of the main purposes for a downstairs bedroom. I always knew that to be the main reason, but I’ve never heard the company SAY it. I really love this tiny home, and I’m 95% sure minimaliste houses will be my manufacturer when I’m ready to purchase!💗

I have always been drawn to the beautiful style of Minimaliste and your work keeps evolving for the better. I really like this new take on the Charme. It is well thought out and has all the elements that would make full time living doable. Thank you! Love it! One more thing, never lose your sense of humour or playfulness!

Best tiny house I have seen. I would make 2 small changes to make it perfect. 1. Under garbage I would have a bottom to the pull-out to store garbage bags. 2. In the bedroom I would make the upper cabinet go all the way to the back wall so that it would better suit hanging clothes and still give you the room for the bedside shelves. Thank you for making tiny houses that will work in Canada with our frosty winters. Keep up the good work.

Two excellent suggestions. I thought the same re: the bedroom closets - they were the only thing that clunked for me. As they are, there's an empty space beneath the bedside table that's not usable (maybe a garbage basket?) and will despite being inaccessible, will manage to collect dust! Of course, even with bringing the uppers all the way to the back you'll have this, so I'd probably turn the cabinets sideways and have the barnyard doors that slide, so you can install floating bedside shelves. I'd never have thought of space for garbage bags - good thought.

This is one of if not the most well thought out tiny house I have seen. With just a few tiny tweaks which are my personal choice like a soaking bathtub with shower head instead of just a shower and a couple of cosmetic choices, this is perfect. Awesome job! 👍👍👍

Wow, this is one of the most brilliant tiny home designs I've seen yet. Closet space near the door is an absolute MUST in Canada! We have several different types of coats and we definitely need somewhere to put them! Nice layout.

Fabulous! Can't help but feel like you could add additional functionality if you were to have the dining table raise/lower and slide back it would help to create additional kitchen counter top space and make the space feel bigger and more open :).

Would be good in future models if the table could slide in against the wall. This would allow more walk way space and add more counter space when a larger table is not needed. Lovely home over all.

The standing loft design is a game changer in tiny house design. I think the other builder using this feature is indigo river. What a beautiful home!

There's multiple builders that offer that feature, I'm aware of over a dozen but Indigo River is one of them and they have taken it a bit further with a full standing space around the bed and not just to one side...

@@brewatch Not all will be on RU-vid but there's Uber Tiny Homes, which also offer the plans for their Pequeno model with stand-up Loft & Office. Bear Tiny Homes was one of the first to do it several years ago but they're out of business. Incredible Tiny Homes did a couple back when they were still doing custom builds. MitchCraft Tiny Homes has done a few... Aussie Tiny Houses... Built Tiny... Nook Tiny Homes (Formerly J White Design+Build in Spicewood, TX)... Alabama Tiny Homes... Rich's Portable Cabins (Park Model RV but they've done standing loft)... Molecule Tiny Homes... Some others were DIY or from other builders who are now out of business... Besides Standing Lofts, you can also search for Split Lofts and Standing Platforms. While some alternatives include lowering the whole loft, such as over a Gooseneck/5th wheel or storage platform. Examples like Erin Adams created basically a dressing room level between the main level and her bed/loft...

Me too! And clearly the craftsmanship is superior to many homes I’ve viewed on RU-vid. I’d be happy to spend the extra 15-18K to have it transported down to North Carolina over the locally available options.

The updates to the Charme are magnifique! As a Canadian, I definitely appreciate that closet at the entryway! I'd love to see a Minimaliste spin on Shaye's Tiny Home Britt design (New Zealand) with 2 full height walkways (one wrap around) in the upstairs bedrooms.

Excellent idea! Minimalist are really my favorite tiny home builders but you sparked my curiosity Colleen! Thought I'd rather see their spin of the Sophie design. I fell in love with the coziness of the living room and the feeling of having separated rooms.. I think I would just ditch the island in the kitchen and replace it with a small round table with chairs..

Love most everything about this layout. In 1st floor Bedroom, I'd prefer full closet vs a little nightstand. That seems like wasted space.I'd use that for an office anyway. LOLnLove the way you did your stair and the platform bed. LOVE all your designs, Love your videos, your humor. This was uplifting.

Could Probably put in a closet rod behind each of the cabinets, between the cupboard and the wall space above the nightstands... so you'd still have a nightstand AND more hanging space. :)

Love this model. For my personal purchase I would make a space so the table can slide over the bench in the kitchen, in the main floor bedroom I would have a murphy bed system that has a build in desk or sofa and the wardrobes on either side would be full with a peekaboo shelf just wide enough to accommodate a cell phone (I hate to fold clothes LOL so hanging is a priority for me) Also I don't like front loading washing machines so I would get the apartment size stackable washer/dryer. I have a cat and I have an electric litter box called Litter maid and that would fit great in that space under the stairs or in the bathroom beside the toilet with a little privacy curtain. Only a few more months to go before I contact you for my purchase and buy land. This has been a dream of mine since 2014 and i am less that a year away from achieving it. I can't wait !

Great design and stylish to boot!❤. I love your common sense approach! Yes,a closet to hang Coats and put your shoes away! A table to sit at and have your meals! Most tinys ignore the every- day needs -you take care of that in spades! Merci!

This design is incredible! The only thing I don’t particularly enjoy is the placement of the cupboards in the downstairs loft. My preference is to have them back at the wall and have a small wooden shelf along the wall at the head of the bed. That aside this tiny home is perfect! 😍

Love, love, love this design. Happy to see a tiny with a closet for coats/shoes. I've been obsessed with tiny house living for the last 5 years. I retire in 3 yrs & plan to either buy or build my own. For the loft instead of a ladder I would put a fold-down staircase. They fold up against the wall when not in use & you fold (pulled) back down when needed, so the entrance of the loft would be at the end, & not in the middle. I would also have a dinning table which coverts into a smaller one when not feeding more then 3 people. I would make the shower not as wide in order to make the linen closet wider to store away my broom/mop/dustpan/Swiffer or vacuum cleaner leaving the shelving on the top for towels & linens. In the first-floor bedroom I would take away the side tables behind the storage & turn those into closets instead. Also not everyone needs/uses a queen/full size bed. Personally I'm fine with a twin size bed, I'll put a twin size bed in the loft as well leaving more space to walk around. I would have a sofa bed for guest. Those would be the only changes I would make to this beautiful home.

Wow even with my arthritis I could easily live in this one...I love how huge the kitchen is and not many tiny homes have a good size wardrobe and a linen cupboard AND a pantry...such a wonderful design well done 💜

This is exactly why I too love this model. I love the lofts, but with my arthritis eventually the steps will not be ideal for my bedroom .. they would provide great guest space and storage while everything on one level. I’m 57 now and looking to sell my 2000 sq foot home because my entire weekend is consumed with upkeep, not to mention huge annual expenses (new roof this year @22K and a new concrete driveway @ 12K. It’s never ending. I live the easy to navigate galley kitchen too.

Hi guys, a really beautiful home! Just one suggestion - if you left a small gap between the bench and the bench seat you’d be able to slide the table right back to the wall and fully out of the way

Really awesome! Excellent layout, finish carpentry, and appliance choices. Just 2 suggestions 1) add a closet like the entry closet on either side of the queen bed, with knitted pouches mounted on the side walls to store bedside items 2) expand the dining room window approx 12-18 inches, wall mount a 30 wide x 48 long dining surface with 1 center support leg, with 4 counter stools. I'm sure your carpenter could make this surface expand for the occasional extra guests.

Such a gorgeous and well thought out tiny house. In my eyes it’s nearly perfect! I love that you’ve thought of a place to put a litter box already, and the fact that you’ll put a fan in too is perfect. Question about those closets in the main bedroom. I understand that you wanted to provide bedside tables, but it seems having those closets in front of them creates a bit of wasted space behind them. Would putting those closets on the opposite wall, the wall you enter the room from, be an option? They would be flush against the wall and remove the dead space around the bedside tables. Just a thought. You guys create beautiful tiny houses, and as someone who already has one, you make me want to get another! ❤

I agree, it's a very odd design choice there. Why wouldn't they just push the cabinets back and allow access to the middle section of the cabinets from the side, thereby creating 'side tables' ?

@@holistic9605 agree, they are not deep enough as is to hand clothes and I can just see dropping things off the little shelves down into the cavity and being unable to retrieve them. I’d ditch the bedside shelves and push back the cabinetry to be for a closet and maybe turn the drawer have it open from the bed side for a bedside table.

Contente de vous revoir enfin! Bonne revisite de The Charme. Pour moi, il est important de pouvoir accueillir amis et famille autour d'un bon repas à table. C'est une des raisons pour lesquelles je préfère le modèle The Noyer XL. (L'autre raison étant que je pense que si on metait la télé au fond, on pourrait mettre une banquette en face du divan. C'est quand même plus convivial de se parler face à face que de se parler à 3 alignés côtes à côtes sur un divan...La personne au milieu ayant toujours l'impression de bloquer la vue ou de tourner le dos à une des personnes sur le côté). On reconnait bien votre touche esthétique et la qualité des finitions. Bravo J'ai hâte de découvrir votre revisite des autres modèles. Salutations de Belgique

Beautiful Tiny home, and thank you for the Kitty litter location. One suggestion, you could put in the option of a built in fireplace under the TV, as well as remove 1 cabinet in downstairs bedroom to fit a King sized bed. The positioning of the bedroom cabinets seems odd and unnecessary. Better to have them flush up against the wall. Also, vertical window in bedroom would be a nice option for a better view. Are there TV hook ups in master bed?

Love this house.. one thing i would change. The table. If you make the bench a little narrower and have space between the cabnet and bench wide enough for the table leg to slide between. The table could slide agest the wall and over the bench when not in use, and it would extend the work top surface of the kitchen.

Love this design! Very nice! I think it would be useful to have a tiny space between the kitchen counter and the banquette seating so that the table can completely slide over the banquette and out of the way and be extension of the counter space if needed. At least it makes sense to me.

This is PERFECT!! I can't believe you thought of us cat parents and the 3 bedrooms is pure luxury 😍 It would be amazing!!! if you could push the table all the way against the wall and over the seats; it would free up more floor space and double as an extra kitchen bench.
