Angel Mckinstry I was watching this the other day and the 2 people that got the money didn't have to split it with the remaining team members. Did they change the rules?

Mac Everyone in the team got knocked out, including Matt. They picked for him to go back in, if he survived the first round and won 4K he would have kept it all.

BECAUSE they ALL got knocked out. Including him. He was nominated to represent the WHOLE team in their last chance play but they could have chosen any team member. :)

Still depends on the person, if they get a bunch of questions they have no idea about they’d just sit and keep passing when had they had a teammate with the knowledge they’d have gotten it

But if they Chaser gets a wrong answer they can pick an answer with no time limit, and the more people in a team the higher the chance one player knows the answer to a question to push the chaser back. it's a bit of a trade off

It's the old addage of the questions are only easy if you know the answer. The smartest of people can be ignorant of the simplest of things. There are people out there that are experts in quantum physics and ask them any question in the field of science would likely at least give a good educated guess, but ask the same person a question on modern pop culture and they will stare at you like a shop mannequin.

He probably went for the high offer and when you do that you can only afford to get one wrong.

If you’re interested I suggest you look into “savants” and the incredible abilities of those who are gifted with extraordinary brain function. As I say, these people are sometimes incapacitated and almost always struggle with communication and social interaction, but specifically I suggest you look up Laurence Kim Peek.

Extremely good, basically superhuman memory has been demonstrated (such as Kim Peek), but it's not clear whether that's considered photographic memory. Peek could for example read a page extremely fast and recall all the information, which is a combination of extremely fast reading and memorization. However, a truly photographic memory would be to glance at a page for a second and the read it off the image that is in your mind, without having read the text during the glance. The latter, as far as I know, hasn't been convincingly demonstrated to exist.

To be fair there is always the potential to win over 100k on this show, it just depends on how good the players are and if they are willing to risk going for the higher money.

Atleast they dont pay tax on any winnings & in the uk millionaire show they got the full 1 million tax free so it may not be alot but atleast its tax free

@@katieb6799 Totally depends on their performance during the earlier part of the show, but it is definitely possible to go home alone with that much if you are good. So many people miss that this is the losers' prize. This is just so they have something excited to end on, since they don't have time for a new team like Millionaire does, and it would be anti-climactic to end on them all loosing during the elimination round

I agree they always have the easier questions no matter which set the contestants have most the time the answer is in the question for the chasers. I think so its mainly that the chaser will near enough always win...

If the person nominated was the only one to get the cash, they would all just nominate themselves so the game strategy would not work.

Completely situational. Not true at all if the group has different fields they specialize in. I clearly don't know everything, but with 3 others, we could make a nice collection of knowledge. That's less than 1 second a question, but probably a lot more questions answered correctly. They can also just answer over the announcement. Shout loud enough and they don't care whether you waited or not. You also don't have a time limit when the chaser gets a question wrong, so you can debate a bit before answering, so it really helps to push back the chaser. It is totally better to have 4 members if the individual members aren't quizzers. It would probably also mean that the cash pool is larger, since they all won money, though if one person went high and everyone else went low, then the best player would not get as much money as if they won alone, but again, completely situational.
