Rumor has it they're already looking at Raj for a possible fourth chaser on the new USA version of The Chase. Ken worked with him on Master Minds and knows his skill quite well.
He's a lot meaner here than on the UK and both "official" USA adaptations, and you can even hear him being rude to Bradley at 0:45, something which would never happen on the UK version.
Yes, and from those two pilots emerged "The Chase US" ... Sadly, the producers made horrible production decisions. One was to have only three players instead of four. They claimed they couldn't fit four into the format. (Right, the UK had been doing it for years.) And because it was only three, the pacing was so much slower -- more glitz, less substance (typically American). And the choice of Brooke Burns to host. No wonder it lasted only four series and 51 episodes. Now there's word that ITV America is trying to reboot it with three American chasers. Good luck.
Ironically enough, I found the show through the American version. It’s enjoyable enough, but I agree, the UK version is so much better. Although I am hopeful, that the reboot that they’re doing turns out a lot better.
They did, with 3 Jeopardy! quiz brains, and now they've reinvited the Beast. The old US version got the ax because it cost too much to produce. ABC Network is shelling out heaps of money in the game, so time will tell how long this lasts.
Here is my thoughts on this if I may. I'm honestly glad Fox didn't pick this up to series in the first place. ABC is doing a great thing in rebooting this show for a second chance reboot, but we could very well see GSN rules here and or rules that the UK version has in place for years. If I were ITV America, any show ITV has like The Chace, Tipping Point or another game show would be made for television syndication and not a big network. Example. The Chace. UK rules, use of the main theme, Bradly Walsh as host, and this pilate's top prize. Half a million dollars. Otherwise, I would never bring any UK game show to American. If producers don't want to incorporate rules from the UK or other countries that do it Ewell, just forget it. You won't get that much of and audience.
@@ClapHurts If fox picked up the chase the ratings would have it be canceled after 2 seasons tops. In my opinion I'm glad ABC picked it up. I could see 2 more seasons happen.
I can’t believe it. This makes me upset, because The Chase US almost ended up watchable, but they f***ed it up with the host, set, theme, and basically everything that made the show not give me a headache.
