No gimmicks or tricks? they wrote this just for DC Shoes new ac/dc merch line (both released on the same day). It's literally an advertisement. (now personally I dont care one way or the other. a band's gotta get paid, but the amount of people that cant see the "gimmick" in this astounds me) "ever feel like you've been cheated" -Johnny Rotten
@@georgeharrison5753 True, like I said, artists deserved to get paid. My main point that this wasn't upfront about the fact it was an ad. There's no doubt Johnny's trying to sell you butter when you watch that, but this way, with it's in shot products & brand new shirts etc being placed within a song feels a bit like a trick or a gimmick to me. Maybe it could be argued its more punk to do it this way but to me it's got corporate & commercial ad-man stench all over it. But whatever, still love and will play The Chats
Hey I’m 52 live here in the WA state of the US I haven’t heard anyone like this since the Ramones. But the Chats have a hell of a lot more personality most of which is humor which we all need these guys flat out ROCK. Keep up the good work Chats snd thanks for keeping rock alive
While this year made me feel like shit most of the time, i can always trust in The Chats to release one banger after the other Cheers from Germany everyone!
@@ottomatic3123 ya your probably right B52s were on there in 1980 before they jumped the shark even Duran Duran in 1982 Current music acts are too chalk or main stream on the show now. Cant even get Alice in Chains or Fangclub on the show Hey with the Chats you get a couple of them to participate in some of the skits

@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol lmao how old are you? 14? That is the most high school thing anyone has said, dude I’m 30 I have listened to all sorts of music throughout my life, trust me, there is no such thing as “real” music. You’re arguing over squiggly air waves lmao
I'll never understand the need for people to talk abut their age while referencing music. Like who cares? Music doesn't come with borders, if you like it you listen to it. Shit, I'll listen to the chats all day, then throw in some fucking Elton John. Music is music. Just listen to it, and stop pretending 80 year olds just listen to fucking edison pressings of mary had a little lamb all day or that 12 year olds jam out to the fucking Wiggles. Fuckin' hell.
@@erisdiscordia5429 hahahahahaaaaaa....! Shit. Edison pressings! I think all old boy was saying is that these kids got his blood goin'. Nothin' wrong with that. It's absolutely the point of playing any music.
@@Damon0mania And I'm sayin' yeah.. that happens to everyone regardless of age. If you like music, it does things to you. That's the point of music.. Age is completely irrelevant to the entire experience. Age's only advantage is the time it provides to find more music that you like, and grow your collection of good tunes. That's not even as good as the money advantage, in letting you amass a collection, or the "We live in 2020, music is free, and you can spend your life time here and not hear it all" thing that most people got going for em these days. Man, music used to be hard when you had to pay for all your tapes and discs. Again, Age Does Not Matter when it comes to music. Even education doesn't matter, people will happily ignore the meaning of a song if the music is good enough. All that matters is putting it in your ear, and getting that sweet, sweet dopamine release.
Just heard about Pricey moving on, really hope they will still perform the clap but I’m sure that the chats will still be fcking awesome whatever happens
@@erazet3084 the guitar on this song is obviously imitating that classic ACDC style riff, it's not like it was meant to be a completely original style, give the guy a chance
Love this band. just discovered their smoko song and listened to pub feed and I totally thought that they reminded me of ac/dc then I find this. Punks not dead!!
So for my music assignment we had to study an Aussie song from an Aussie band. I of course went for the chats but wouldn’t it be that all other 4 groups in my class decided to do AC/DC. One group did back in black, two did thunderstruck and the other group did the new song. Bloody legends
Dammmmmmmn I might be a few years late finding you guys, I started with your SMOKO video, don't ask how.. I just wanna say you guys are keeping it old school and I respect that, reminds me of a mix of Sloppy Seconds with a dash of the Ramones sprinkled with The Dead Milk Men. Yes I'm old... Keep it up guys. Your new fan in Texas!
sick! another rad music video from you awesome lads, you guys rock! I missed out on seeing you guys perform in my country due to the pandemic, hope someday i get another chance dudes.
A 58yo AC/DC fan here in Australia and been a fan of the Chats since first seeing them on TV. Have cds of both in the Ute, trouble is I'm going a bit deaf now, but worth it.
