I don't see anyone one mentioning that you can fix the depth issue somewhat simply, you can use something like yoga blocks on the shoulder pads for the hacksquats and you could use some sort of bigger pad for the back to give you more depth on the leg press

I got mine about 2 weeks ago. Overall, I really like it, especially for the price. A couple of critiques; 1) I wish the foot plate for the leg press was wider 2) I'm 5'10 and I barely hit the stopper at the bottom when doing the hack squat. I think if you're 6 foot or taller this will not be an issue. I can build a fortified platform with some plywood and 2x2's as a hack for this. Not sure what I can do about the leg press foot plate since i don't have the materials or skills to weld something together.

I want this but I’m short only 5’8 so ugh not sure now. I feel like I could probably modify something though if I needed to but we shall see I guess. Price is great I’ll say that

Thanks for the review. I was curious if you've done calf raises on this, and how effective they are? Since this model doesn't come with a calf block, I wasn't sure if this machine would be as good of an option as say the one from GMWD. Thanks in advance!

Yeah I’ve done them! It’s not bad but it would be better with a dedicated calf block

At 5'10, I'm worried I wont be able to get deep deep. The idea of having that at my house would be pretty awesome to pair with my squat rack though. Thanks as always for the content bro.

Yeah it could be an issue if you’re really flexible as well. It does make a really good addition to a squat rack too

Thank you for the update. I’m 58 six feet tall and 185 pounds. Not sure what weight level I should order. I’m thinking the middle weight package is enough. Any advice

Great review. I was looking at this on Amazon actually. Unfortunately the ROM is a deal killer. I am only 5'5" so I would definitely bottom it out before I can get that deep stretch at the bottom

I never "feel" the hack squat when I do it? I get cardiovascular fatigued but I don't feel the connection in the muscle. What am I doing wrong? Could it be my foot placement?

Maybe! Try focusing on pressing you back against the pad and squeezing your gullets on the way up

Pretty sure it’s an sm3 or sm5 by stairmaster but I bought used of fb marketplace for a reallllly good deal! Love it though

Work on hip and/or ankle mobility if you're having knee pain. Hard to know if it's one or the other but why not work on both.

Yeah maybe not on hacks but I think on leg press you wouldn’t be able to get the full range👌

you must go to the same crappy gym as me. I've asked them to get a hack squat machine for 2 years. nope. reason i'm watching this video is because I am building my own gym at home. I tried the Hoist hack squat machine in a fitness store. It's nice. not sure if you have tried hoist, but if you have, how does ritfit compare.

I have not tried that specific one but besides the range of motion this does every thing just as good as a commercial unit👌
