Love your 🎥video's. You show us around a different sides of life Cheap, budget real estate. I can't get used to watching videos from russian guys in Thailand. Expensive condos restaurants big swimming pools etc. You show a real life. I appreciate it. Please don't stop and make another videos . It is actually interesting. Hi Jason, what a great video this was. I’ll tell you mate, this area is so nice. I loved the market walk around. I love seeing places like this. Finding a place to live is priority, but seeing what is available to you beyond your condo is also very important. Rayong seems to be a hidden gem. I see Rayong as a real option. I like the fact that it’s not overrun by tourists and even knowing it’s an industrial hub, it is still slower paced and clean. You knocked it out of the park on this one mate. Rachael just makes the day brighter doesn’t she? Great team you both are. Have a wonderful day mate!

The first apartment I rented in Bkk was not much better than the renovated apartment we see in this video and I enjoyed living there. There are probably many people like me who don't need the beach on their doorstep, a pool and a library in the building and for us apartments like this are a great option.

Walk up “Cheap Charlie” digs are abundant all over Thailand, including $60-$70 places in Bangkok and Pattaya. There are even vacant lots you can long term lease and install a travel trailer or RV on. These can all be long term leased and possibly sub leased when you are not Thailand.

Hello Jason and Rachel, thanks for these awesome videos I always watch them when they first come out, I have only started going for trips to SE Asia the past 2 years and love it, have been to Vietnam twice and absolutely love the culture, climate, foods and the cost of everything and have decided I would love to buy a cheap condo as a base for later on in life for holidays and part time living maybe for when I retire (in 20 years) in addition to maybe rental potential due to the over priced Australian market! To buy a condo in Vietnam is only a lease through "government approved" buildings and too much red tape for foreigners but Thailand looks better for foreigners and cant wait to check it out! I have booked a trip to Pattaya and Bangkok from Sydney (being from Central West NSW) over the Easter break, cant wait to check out Thailand and explore the food, culture and people! I love the look of Rayong and looks reasonably close to the ferry to go over to Koh Samet, not that far from Pattaya and Bangkok and not too busy like Pattaya! I am thinking of hiring a car for a day when in Pattaya in April and going for a drive to Rayong to check out some of these properties and have a quick look around, what would be the best way to go about having a look through some of these properties? Also love some of the car videos you have done and have noticed there are a few Australian cars over in Thailand especially Falcons, early Holdens and a few Commodores, watched a vlog from CB media the other day with a few Aussie cars in it, would be interesting to see some of the mods they do and engine conversions etc. Anyway keep up the great work and content, also congrats to Rachel in graduating. Just left Pattaya. It's a classic example of nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there. Lots of traffic and noise. Rayong looks like a better place to live. More relaxed and cheaper. Going back to the Philippines tomorrow. Tough choice for retirement location. I'm leaning towards Hua Hin.

Hua hin is lovely a good choice it rains less the data says it’s the most un polluted place in Thailand 🇹🇭 and you have more sun 🌞 there and it’s more relaxed and not so crazy like Pattaya

Looking for bargains in residential real estate a rule of thumb is that a purchase price around 100 months rent is a price favorable to the buyer. Purchase above 150 months is a likely losing proposition if there is any stability at all.

General question! Foreigners are not allowed to work in Thailand! Are you allowed to renovate or do up a condo or house etc yourself if you buy or rent it or do you have to employ locals

Yes you can .At least i did anyway .Thai labour though is so cheap it may not be the best solution .I renovated a Condo myself but later renovating a house in Chiang mai i payed a local jack of all trades B1000 a day plus material costs to do the house renovation .Physical work i found hard to do in the heat of Thailand .

Thanks for this video! I would actually wouldn't mind living in an area like that. The 2nd condo is not bad at all for under $100 and minutes walk from the main road was quite a surprise. I'm more drawn to Pattaya area as I'm from South Florida and Rayong reminds me of any city in SoFla especially that main road you guys were on. I'm hoping to visit in a few months. If I was to land in Pattaya, do you provide services to show around condos like these?

Especially that small pool villa/house you showed that was really affordable! But you could buy one of those condos you showed and have it renovated for a very reasonable amount and make it a nice home base for traveling maybe. Probably cost you 20k a month in 'escape fees' as you couldn't enjoy living there so you'll need extra money to keep yourself from going stir-crazy. There is a difference between a house and a home after all.

The balcony is screaned off so you could do what you like .The renovator probably needed permision to build the screen though .

She said no but i think that she is wrong .Buy the 2 units side by side and you will have 2 chanotes .You can not put them on the one Chanote ,though you can knock a door through i believe . .She is right if that is what she meant .

Been to Rayong. Many nicer places to show. That condo for 50K was an embarrassment. Would not stay there, if you paid me. Local market, just so so compared to Pattaya Nighttime Street food Market.
