Probably has something to do with the cables/extra accessories costing this company next to nothing. If larger companies put dirt cheap accessories in the box with there $1000+ smartphone, it probably wouldn’t look good, at least not to the marketing teams.
@SWFL Aerial Guy that really pissed me off too. In Canada I had to spend $1,700 on the phone, and was given no charger that would have cost them $5 to produce. It is a complete scam and is only in place to allow them to charge you $80 for a charger that they produce for under $10. I work in the electronics manufacturing field, in China, and I know how much these things cost. They are very much only focussing on how they are going to save pennies, and make more profit off of their customers. When I am done with this S22 Ultra (I will have it for probably at least four years), I am going to be going to a much lower value phone, as I do not see the benefit in having a $2,000 phone in my pocket.
This is what 20 year olds had as their first phone in middle school. Except even more downgraded. At least where I was from. I got my first phone at the end of 6th grade. A cheap cricket Motorola. I remember 2g flip phones.
Yeah, that was always obvious, I just don’t get how most people fell for it, like if it was a small company doing that, it would be “cutting corners”, if it’s Apple people just assume it’s some 10D chess move
Actually maybe not. Those guys have to make quality stuff worth of their brand names. 42 dollar phone ones can bundle surplus and outdated non purchased units of accessories. I am sure the 42 dollar phone is made up of parts from 8 years ago. Probably costs 12 dollars to make in bulk 😂
@J̶i̶s̶o̶o̶o̶y̶a̶ you sure bro ? Last time I checked that wasn’t an option. Oh, what about one+, huawei, or others huh ? You guys only care about Apple. Leave Apple alone. Samsung said “Awww look at Apple, they don’t give you chargers anymore” but 3 months later it was Samsung turn. Android users are unbelievable
@@Lavaclaw7 one ? You mean hundreds of thousands of people arguing on twitter and then no Apple fan commentating after they saw Samsung removed the charger
@@DuckInGameStop it looks like a phone, not necessarily an iPhone and i13 could be anything, that's like saying that Samsung's A line of phones are clones because they start with A like Apple and remotely look like apple phones
@@YehoshuaAkalo-- when someone posts clear click bait my response is to add the posting person to my blocked list so I don't get any of their future bait and waste my time.
Speed is also an issue for long-term usage. I think it was a cheaper Alcatel Pixie Unite phone I had that got excessively slow the longer I used it. Didn't have it for more than 2 years before I finally shelled out the money to get something worth the expenditure.
@@Monkey-bo3xx yeah oddly enough used phones work way better. these things are engineered to not work and make you spend the money for something which can actually browse the net. They could get you browsing youtube pretty fast for 40 bucks but they won't :P
Don't dismiss or downplay such items or the people who use them. There are LOTS of really poor people out here that could benefit form being connected to the rest of the world for under $100 instead of the current over $1,000 pricetags. Give thanks such items exist & help people get them.
@@karthikrajar7676 ha, if they can pack in all of that for mere 50$. Big companies who mass produce can easily easily EASILY produce chargers and other accessories. Not to mention the prices of these phones are 1000$+
@@InfestedSlab Yeah, I don't understand why people think Apple and other brands are forced to do this due to rising costs or something. I just looked up phone chargers on Alibaba and other bulk websites and you can get a charging plug and cable for 60-80 cents a piece if you order in bulk (1000 or more) and you'd bet that apple would get it cheaper since they would be making it themselves. So Apple no longer giving them with phones is totally a greedy move and at best they'd be saving 10 dollars i.e charging plug, cable and earphones. Now you have to buy them separately where they are outrageously priced, like fuck for a usb to usb c adapter it's $20 and a charging plug is $20 and that's the slow charging version. Even the thunderbolt to headphone jack which is just basically a tiny cable is $10, not to mention the time apple tried to sell a monitor stand for $1000... And people say apple isn't greedy
I remember back in the day when phones used to come with all those things. As much as phones cost today we need to require we get those accessories for free
There's no reason to look down upon it. There are some unfortunate people who would be happy to afford it On a side note - it comes with charger, headphones, screen protector and everything one needs to get started
Apple don’t need to take no notes. The reason why Apple doesn’t include them is because iPhone is going up in cost of production. But in order to keep the selling price the same, they have to remove accessories and find new ways to lower packaging costs. Otherwise, had they kept the accessories, iPhone would be more than the marketable price of $999. Then you would be complaining “Apple make your iPhone cheaper”. Apple is already taking a loss right now because even without the accessories, it should still start at above $1000 today with how much money has changed in the last 3 years.
My Wiko 2 for boost mobile was $35 and dows everything any other android does. Never wanted Apple products because you can only use apple products after the first time. It's like a bunch of crackhead that only want one specific type of Crack
@@mattias640 Android users don't live in insecurity because you can download "jailbreak stuff"... technically True 42 dollars is a lot in my country you can have a phone with that and they work fine i can't remember the model name it was a Lenovo around 8 years ago and with the price of 30 dollars you had a phone with everything included
It's not even that they're greedy necessarily... It's just that they recognize people are stupid as shit and will buy it anyway. I've never bought one without charger, must be an iPhone thing. Only numbskulls buy those in 2023
Bought my phone for $500. I expect it to last longer than the last longer than my previous phone, which I daily drove for 6 years. I still have my old S8+, I just use it as a MP4 player because modern phones don't have headphones ports and built in DACs anymore. When I'm ready to replace this S21+, I'm not super sure what I'll do with it other than keep it around for development testing purposes
Hate when people buy a box of products, remove one of the items in the box, and then proceed to claim everything else in the box was 'free'. No, if you didn't pay the money, you wouldn't have these items. They are therefore not 'free'.
