I liked my rp4 pro very much, but after playing it for weeks, I've noticed how annoyingly small the screen is. Text is hard to read and it's not even 1080p... I wish they upgraded the screen, from iPhone 6 to atleast the iPhone x. It's very outdated, I'm considering getting the Odin 2 now.
Funny, I'm in the opposite position as you. I purchased an Odin 2, and I love the performance as well, but my issue with it is the size. I have a Steam Deck OLED which does everything the Odin 2 can, except for Android stuff but that one is WAY too big. I'm looking at picking up an RP4 or 4Pro for it's pocketability. I tried the RG35XX H and it's the perfect size but it only plays up to some PSP, which is kinda disappointing.
Can you try Lime3DS instead of Citra? I'm hoping that runs better and is stutter fee. I'm debating if I want to pick this up or not. The 2S isn't cutting it for me
I was able to figure out how to switch to retro vs Xbox controller by input however I set the “Retriod pocket controller” as my controller but none of the controls are working when I play a game. Apparently, I would need to setup the profile for each controller mode as each controller has a driver built into Retroids OS. I see the profiles options but how do I set up the profile Xbox vs Retriod?
Great review buddy! Money is tight, got an Odin and an RP3+ and gonna keep em for a while. They're good enough for me, for now. And maybe in 6-12 months there will be something better. Just wondering what scaling were you using for gamecube, wii and 3ds? 2x? 3x?
@@suhtangwong i have plenty of 4:3. I am not a fan of stretching games or patching since ui is still stretched and frustum culling usually becomes completely broken. But for ps2 and gamecube/wii with full speed I think 4:3 version would be perfect. RP3+ isn't powerful enough for those consoles to play full speed.
if it works so well with 3ds, then it's already worth it. BUT i would ratter get a cellphone like poco x3 and a good joypad to make the cellphone into a console (and it will be cheaper) at least here in argentina.
@fumangus69 depending on what you want... the 2ds is around the same price as the poco x3 BUT the main difference is that you can only play what's on that console (and some emulators) , on the phone you can actually play whatever you want from 3ds wii and ps2 down to any other older console (and some not demanding switch games too) so it's still better the phone.
Isnt the cheapest wii emulator the wii? At 10 dollars if youre lucky and with it so easily being hacked dont understand the titles reasoning. Still a great video.
