@☠MrHairyNutz☠ yeah BBC took the issue out of context, there are actually only a small handful of people that are smart enough to hide their cheats from battleye (AKA A bypass), The bypass is made by only a handful of people and others use them to make their cheats which just making a program that writes to a memory address using the bypass. You may see 10 providers but out of all those providers 1 or 2 may use their own method and the other 8 use the same as each other, which make battleye ban them quickly These people seem to be from that small subset that can make their own bypass and the cheat itself. as much as people hate them now they will become some of the best minds to improve the systems they are beating today for the future
Yeah, it don't take the fun out of it when it is you winning and moving up the leaderboard. I f-----g hate gaming cheats, when somebody kills me in a regular game of TDM or whatever, I am buzzing. But when some idiot with hacks on kills me it takes the fun out of it.
Cheating sucks the fun out the game. It completely ruins the game play. I play sports games. It’s impossible to get home from work and just have fun. I have to actually adjust how I play to compensate for the cheating. It’s sad no character at all. It makes me think the developers should remove all forms of w/L records.
I am confused about this as well. Maybe get a developer who makes a mass market competitive multiplayer game that suffers from cheating problems to weigh in? Odd.
U say that but no game has died from cheating think about it warzone hasn’t died for it’s hasn’t died yet and Bothe those games have more cheats than those yet the most popular problems of games from players are swears or not regular enough updates
@@gitgudnga Give it time, cheating killed csgo didn't it. It's gonna keep happening more and more as games keep using the same engine and cheats are semi-transferable.
A cheater's conscience works differently, It simply adjusts the cheater's self-respect based on the win to loss ratio, irrespective of the attainment method. That's why a cheater can dominate players with an unfair advantage and feel good about it.
@@kadey Well, let me explain what I mean with an example. Imagine a chess grandmaster plays a novice, but the novice is given a king and 15 queens instead of the usual pieces. Obviously, it’s overwhelmingly likely the novice wins. Should the novice feel good about beating the grandmaster? Would you feel good if you where the one who beat that grandmaster?
@@kadey they ruin the fun for legitamite players. Some games are created to be chaotic and people can do whatever they want. If people want to play those, fine. Now, in an uncompetitive game, if a player decides to have some fun with mods, that's fine. As long as he's not using it to benefit himself. I enjoyed the modded WAW lobbies as long as they didnt do it to gain an advantage over other players. Why is this you may ask? Well you see, when a consumer buys a certain product, an online video game in this case, they usually will have certain expectations for that game and the game mechanics. They will have usually bought that game for personal enjoyment, and to succeed and improve at that game. The company that made the game also made that game and designed it with specific mechanics and intentions, and there is a sort of agreement between buyer and seller, and it goes something like, "I want to buy this game because it looks fun, and the game mechanics that were designed for this game look interesting," and "okay then, but we don't want you to leave the boundaries that we set for this game, as other players want to play this specific product and dont want to have their enjoyment ruined because somebody has used external help." You bought that specific game for the game, and not to have someone bring in new mechanics that ruin your experience. Now let's talk about cheating. Homo sapiens have evolved to be social creatures. We rely on our tribes or groups to survive. Without other humans, we die out. In order for our species to thrive, there has to be a certain trust, or understanding between us. Now, you may say that cheaters will win the evolutionary war because they use tactics that aren't within the agreed upon bounds. But why are there agreed upon bounds in human society? Why not just do whatever you want, cheat, lie, kill, etc? Because rules, are the only things separating us from the other animals. These boundaries, ensure that humans can trust eachother and dont break off into smaller groups or descend into chaos. That is why rules, boundaries, laws, exist. That is why advanced civilizations are possible, and why they dont collapse into nothingness. Rules are implemented into every aspect of our lives, even entertainment. Even online multiplayer games. The majority wants a fair fight. They want to work within the rules, enjoy the game within the rules. Without the rules, there is no meaning left. Every player will have infinite power and nobody will progress or go anywhere. Simple really...
The rampant cheating in DICE's rendition of Star Wars Battlefront (2015) was what finally caused me to stop playing online games. Since many games are online these days, I really don't play video games anymore. It really takes the fun out of the game when you repeatedly get shot through walls, by enemies who couldn't possibly see you, and killed in one shot by weapons that don't have the power to do that. As this becomes more prevalent, combined the the gaming industry's other problems, fewer and fewer people will play games, which means that fewer will buy games, which means that eventually only those who are cheating will remain. Likely, it will contribute significantly to the industry's overall decline.
Target audience is switching to younger grab and go type players with no loyalty or retention to continue producing copy paste competitive underdeveloped garbage.
yo nym. i hope you’re doin good. this is from 2 years ago and things have only gotten worse. you can still play video games bro. don’t some random no lifer destroy your experience. i never been a fan of multiplayer games anyway. iv always enjoyed single player games. those types of games are making a comeback very soon. and im all for it. every “competitive” game is being hacked right now. it needs to be illegal. jail needs to happen. thats the only way people will stop. but yea just play single players like i do. there are plenty out there and more to come
@@rzwitdauncut it is illegal, to produce, sell, and buy hacks. They should make using them illegal, and instead of banning you, they sue you into the ground for damages. I had quit all forms of competitive online gaming because the cheats were just running rampant. It has even found its way into mmos where there's just pve content. One such mmo....a popular one, an exploit was discovered that completely breaks the game and allows you to do stupid amounts of dps, but rather than fix the exploit, the devs developed content that can only be completed by people who choose to exploit the game. Needless to say, I quit that game, and have about given up on gaming entirely at this point as it just feels like more and more of a cash grab. Quality has really gone into the crapper.
Destiny 2 is an even worse example of this. They were the cause of Sunsetting to deter them from DDOSing their servers constantly again until law enforcement showed up to kick their ass and do Bungie's job.
Cheats say it's about a "bit of fun", it's not!! It's because they can't win by any other way and they don't want to take the time to learn. It's purely lazy and vindictive behaviour
Cheating kills online gaming. People will stop playing the multiplayer when cheats are used. The fun is taken out of it and there's no point trying to cheat an opposition which cannot lose. Nobody wants to spend their recreational time just being slaughtered in an unfair fight.
They have really sucked the life out of every fps game I've ever played, and it's only getting more prevalent, more sneaky, more underhanded and ubiquitous. It's like they think it's totally normal to cheat to win. The one thing they have done is made me question why I play online games at all, and changed my attitude towards gaming. Since a few years ago I have spent next to nothing on new multiplayer games. One day in the near future I'll log off and never come back.
@@Lucas_Jeffrey bingo. I've been turned off from so many FPSes now because of them. And they mostly closet cheat and toggle cheats to avoid being blatant.
@@Greatanotherchannel Nah fam. Shark cards did not effect the hackers, because the had billions of $ in the game. They also ran faster, combat rolled faster and their bullets were more effective
Many many developers themselves are selling cheats as a side hustle. There's a reason it's so easy for many of the games to be corrupted. Alot of the time it's outsourcing that is the issue.
This is the reason i stopped playing Rainbow Six Siege on PC.. Used to love the game, was diamond for a long time but couldn't take how many people started to hack. Really hate these little kids thinking they are all that trying to make money ruining games for everyone else. It's seriously pathetic. They're all scumbags an deserve to be thrown down a Well an left to starve. Can't believe the BBC are stupid enough to highlight this to the world.. As if it isn't bad enough on PC, now we're going to have a influx of try hard wannabe hackers on our hands. Thanks a lot for ruining my favourite game.. How a legit gamer does it, get good scrub. - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5_5188kMIoU.html
They always get complaints yet they can't even level up their servers and anti cheat lmao. It's sad because I've been playing for almost 4 years and I've ran into some cheaters myself. It does ruin the fun, that's why I think if you're gonna cheat, just do it in T hunt and keep it out the multiplayer.
They made over a billion, with a b, dollars on this game. They're just being cheap and profiting off of little kids without putting much back into the game.
I used to be on a Platinum level Call of Duty Ghosts team. Cheats were rampant then. Our team discovered Activision had no interest in limiting cheats. Their business model thrives on being able to sell the next sequel. One way to improve sales numbers is to encourage teams to move from the old title. The best way to do that, instead of creating new, interesting, compelling game content, is look the other way when players use cheats. PS4 does nothing at all about cheats. XBOX will occasionally ban users for their entire natural lifetime. It's a severe consequence when you consider all the other game achievements, friend lists, etc also are locked. The banned user must start with a brand new console account. In truth, it's the game developers and publishers who are in the position to address cheats with security patches to their game titles. That they rarely ever patch their games implies either negligence or even complicity by the publisher/developers in the creation and proliferation of cheats. Our team left Ghosts and we never bothered to form up on the next title. since we knew it was a scam, and unless we also cheated, we would lose our team ranking on the new sequel to cheaters.
All that said, cheats have been around for a long time. Halo, a major title which only exists on the xbox consoles, had rampant cheating, running across a map with a sniper rifle and getting headshots thru walls at a full sprint.. yep.. sort of takes the strategy and skill right out of the game. So, xbox began banning users. I would, if I were 343 Bungie Microsoft, never ban users. I would require game developers to patch the software to disable the cheats, or ban their game from the platform. Tougher pill to swallow for xbox since they would end up being sued and pissing off players ignorant of why the game they "bought" is now banned, but if xbox wielded their stick against the developers instead of the users, banning a game would rarely ever happen, and cheats would be very rare indeed. As it is, eSports are largely a joke unless you are playing a freshly released game, and even then operatives within the game development company will already have built cheats to release along a timeline synced to the game release date.
I’m not a cheater myself, but I can definitely understand their thought process. Instead of the game being about winning matches, it’s about winning the system. I can see the thrill of trying to perfect a system undetected by the OG creators literally without boundaries Still, cheating is really shitty thing to do, I’d try do it in singleplayers instead
Your spot on, ive been cheating in games since i was around about 9, and it has ALWAYS been about breaking the system and getting around it, it was never to win games, it was always, ALWAYS about expanding on the original game, if you ask anyone who has ever actually been in a cheating community they will say the same thing, its fun to see which cheats come out that bypass different things, not many people actually play because they want to win.
@@stonk1851 If you use cheats in online games against people who don't know and have no cheats themselves, there's no way you can convince me your just trying to "beat the system". You might have convinced yourself this is why you do it, but you are lying to yourself. Your insecure, and you use online cheating to try and feel better about yourself. Find a better hobby than ruining other people's games for fun.
Ali Nooks You can convince yourself as much as you want that I cheat because I can’t win in a normal game to fit your own argument but it isn’t true, ask anyone who has ever been into the scene, it’s a lot more fun than playing the actual game, and a lot harder. EDIT: Some people dont cheat in multiplayer games to ruin other peoples fun, sometimes its because they dont have the time to achieve anything else a normal person would, biggest example being GTA V, They give themselves money because it can take hundreds of hours just to get 1 vehicle, is it unfair against the average player? Depends, they arent intentionally hurting them, but it is an advantage against them? Yes! And how many people use modded money instead of normal hard earned money? Too many to count, are there cheaters who cheat against them selves in games? YES THERE IS, CS:GO HvH (Hack VS Hack) Ive done all of these things, i never have actually gone into a game running around killing people for the fun of it, some of us just dont have the time or the patience to grind for 12 hours straight to get one thing, and speed up the game process to have more fun with friends, and if you ask anyone who has access to these "cheats" and ask them if they can have some stuff as well 50% of the time they can, and will. So whats your response to this?

This multi-million industry steered by criminals has destroyed PvP games forever. There's no recovering from this. Ignorants are downplaying this insanely huge problem and cheaters are also gaslighting everyone trying to downplay it. Insanely sad. I'm going back to singleplayer games. Literally can't play for just an hour anymore without getting killed in any FPS by a blatant cheater. Hidden data analysises also show that most people find it acceptable to cheat in video games. Try playing that new "Battlebit" game. It was playable until like 2 weeks ago. Now every second person prefires you, even from 1000 metres away with smg's! PvP games are dead, that's a fact. I can't take it anymore. Cheaters took over this industry and NOBODY is giving enough flying farts about it.
BBC will probably get a lot of heat for this, maybe. But i like that they did a video on this issue and brought this to attention. Cheating is a serious problem man, and in a world that is desperately going digital, you have to ask yourself, how long are these hackers gonna stay in gaming, and just do it in more areas of their life
This is so on point!! Cheat hacks are ruining the online experience!! I was recently cloned & my profile hacked! These are sad sad people but also destructive & dangerous

Anyone remember the game, APB? When it originally launched, the cheating was so prevent that the game shut down in under a month. 5+ years of work by the devs ruined by cheats. (Another developer purchased the game years later and relaunched it) yeah, it still has cheaters, just fewer than what it did have.
Not hard to find them they have to advertise to the players to find them, very simple for police to track, but they don't view it as a crime so it is ignored.
This is ruining games like War Thunder too I’m a RU-vidr and I’ve found and had banned two players for cheating but there are hundreds more, each month on War Thunder the the banned list comes out it’s now running about 400+ names each month cheat ruin online gaming, The developers are going to be integrating easy anti-cheat software soon but until they do the problem will continue.
I guess it's more fun to create cheats than to detect them. if the game developers really wanted they could remove all cheating but it would be too expensive. also if someone cheats and gets banned he will buy a new game, and if it happens agian he will buy another one. so they make good money of cheaters.
It's really sad. It shows poor character, and that you value status more than achievement. I'm a challenge runner and you know most of the challenge runs that I do, I get no trophy or achievement and nothing to prove that I did it. And I don't care because the most important thing is the experience. Like, I have no proof that I beat Demon's Souls as a level 1 character, but it doesn't matter because that experience will stay with me forever. I can guarantee I had a whole heck of a lot more fun than any cheater.
I've got varying views about cheating in video games. Online multiplayer of course, no way. If you're truly into competition you will stay away from cheating. While saying this, I do admit that in my youth I have partaken in using "Trainer" programs for a game known as GunZ Online back in the day. I ultimately got fed up with the amount of cheaters that populated the game in nearly every match before decent hack prevention software happened, so in order to actually enjoy the game people would kind of have to be in the know and partake in the cheating themselves, in order to have SOME sort of equal playing field. For Offline games, I also believe it's best that should you decide to use cheats, at least give the game a good full attempt at beating it first. Enjoy the difficult and frustrating experiences. (Not so much these days, as modern games are in some ways using more "Hand Holding" techniques compared to older titles.) Certain games have cheat functions BUILT IN to expand the gameplay, but I still believe that it's worth experiencing the game in its normal state before trying them out.
"Entrepreneur". I wouldn't call a guy that sells cheats for online games that. He is getting sued for a good reason its against the terms and conditions to use 3rd party programs to gain and advantage.
@@thatminimalistguy1755 Lol "entrepreneur". What a shitty life you must have if your "entrepreneur" occupation is creating cheats for video games so sad nerds can get themselves off to ruining matches. This guy could do literally anything else with his skill set, but he chooses this. " being sued for dumb shit" you've never had any experience in the real world, have you? cheaters can affect the sales of games. If someone runs into multiple cheaters, they could tell their friends "Hey, don't buy this game. It's full of cheaters." and then there's one less sale, and it's only the tip of the iceberg.
@@cdcopper3438 not when u make 3/4s of a mill a year there are more pressing illegal businesses than this it ain’t that sad when u make profit of ur skills
Game developers need to restrict their content distribution to cloud gaming only. Cheats will then become much less powerful and much more expensive, as only AV and input data could be tampered with. Wall hacks would be impossible. Recoil hacks would still be possible. Aim assist would only be possible with some sort of elaborate AI, something that would be extremely difficult to develop. It’s make or break for the game. If CSGO suffers even a tiny percentage more cheaters I think it will be the last straw and and the community will disperse into console gaming and games with less or no cheaters. It’s a huge issue and I wish someone would smack that cheater in the face and smash up his gaming equipment. More needs to be done, more over watches, more expansive accounts and lifetime bans on verified only accounts.
Cheating should ideally only be allowed in single player game's where you're not affecting anybody or ruining another players experience. If you cheat online.. you basically worse than a noob 😂
So he got caught eh? Not defending cheating, but anyone else wonder if the BBC splicing in a couple of frames with shots *of probably the most famous street in his hometown* around the 4:51 mark might have been a contributing factor? Other than that oddity everything else seems very anonymous
gonna have to burst your bubble unlikely the only thing they could hit them with (without knowing more) is Copyright as they use the "Rainbow 6 (Siege)" name in their own products. BBC is wrong in calling them hackers unless their hacks give them access to Ubisoft or battleye servers or other players in the eyes of the law they have only modified their own computer which is legal.... the cheat providers that have been caught were mainly for other offences, like mining their own users login information, using their cheats in tournaments/ affecting the companies revenue stream, seems this guy knows that with what he said about people using them in tournaments. DDOSing servers etc tbh i doubt he will be part of the game cheat scene for long, hes clearly built quite a bit of experience in cybersecurity, in the future its quite likely he will be working on some anti virus or anti cheat
Exploits can be good in some games but in others it spoils the game for example if you use exploits to remove the grind from really grinding games such as in generation zero or cyberpunk 2077
We dont deserve good games. This is proof enough. I dont get how casual the look is. People make games. the games is there living. Cheating can ruin entire community and throw games down the bin in months some even in weeks. People blame the developers for not dealing with it. How about we stop buying the cheats? but people want to win right? Almost makes you wana live in a world where each PC is sold with a cheating tracker on it and if you use cheats you get the electric chair. Sounds about fair consider how many 10000000 of hours are ruined by this. ( It's a joke )
When people can't play a game and keep losing so bad that they have to cheat. Like there are just some people out there that just don't want to practice and practice and get good at the game/
this is weird, this guy is nothing like a game hacker, a game hacker never seeks to destroy fun out of a game, or give himself cheats to kill defenseless people and feel good about it, a game hacker just seek to prove his abilities, if he can crack this or that, if he can reverse the engine and memory and see if he can make something out of it, people like this is usually the ones who buy or get the scripts, dlls, or programs, to hack or script kiddies.
Seige is in the past now and lots of people have stopped playing it. I hope that video games will stop being made so no one can hack. This will impact everyone but it is a solution that will. Work without any problems.
ONLINE GAMING SHOULD BE BANNED WORLD WIDE BECAUSE OF HACKERS. Hackers are scum who destroy games & hurt people online. People are very hurt & pissed off by hackers destroying games people purchase. I quit computer games because of hackers. I saw no point spending my own time to report them or becoming involved in Anti-hacking. I never had any fun. I just imagine to have the fun I never had.
