@BVaccaro88 we faced I think the most play offs teams last season. Yes we had legitimately one of thebtoughest schedules in the league last season with a below par roster.
Tyrique Stevenson got picked on bad the first half the season, hence the stats you stated. What’s wild is if you look how hard he turned the corner from week 10 on, he was phenomenal. Also, Demarcus Walker is better from the DT position than DE. I’d rather sign a DE and slide Walker inside. At any rate, they need more rotational depth
Absolute last thing this team needs is a vet CB. We're loaded with young studs in the CB room, just keep that going. Keep drafting one every year, and have Hoke & the guys coaching these kids up. Eventually they can sell some for picks when they're nearing free agency
Yeah, I heard a lot talking about the Bears needing an edge resher. That made ZERO sense, since the Bears already had a top 10 defense. They could USE and edge, but they didn't need one. What the Bears NEEDED was an improved O-LIne, especially a Center, and Left Tackle. It is better, but it is not as good as the D-Line.
If the Bears just kept the team from last year, including JF, they would go 9-8 next year. Their great defense didn't get rolling until the end, and that ALONE would give them 9-8. With all the improvements, and getting rid of weaknesses, I see the Bears going at a minimum -- 12-5.
Jerry our last year's schedule was a last place schedule. It wasn't a very hard schedule. This year is also an easier schedule. But we have a better team this year.
If Bears go 9-8, Eberflus should be fired. If They go 10-7, Eberflus should be fired. 11-6 should be the MINIMUM expected this year for a coach to be considered acceptable. IMVHO.
No, that is ridiculous and not at all a reasonable expectation. Yes we should be a winning team, and above .500, but to expect us to be at the very top of the league in a rookie QB season is not being fair. This is still a building year. Our expectations should be for the team to be very competitive, with offense and defense that's both top-15 and above, and for our final record to be north of .500, whatever that final record is. That will be a successful season and then next year will be the year to have hard playoff and top of thr league expectations.
@@rfranklin3000 I think you are setting a low bar. The Bears should easily go 9-8. With all the improvements, though, 11-6 should be expected. 12-5 is achievable, IMO.
