It is a one-side thought that China wants more foreign tourists. At tourist spots, there are always tens of thousands of domestic tourists. The businessmen don't bother to waste their efforts to cater just a few more foreigners, so they don't prepare English menus. The government opens up visa free to some countries for political reasons, not for economic reason.

Agree. China provides free visas for foreigners, especially westerners, to come to China to witness developments in China for themselves, thereby destroying the western media's lies about China.

The Chinese economy has been developing rapidly in the past, and tourism has not been taken seriously, Now it is the time to pay more attention to it.

China has a ways to go to rebuild its tourism industry.

China has made some significant efforts to attract more foreign tourists (e.g. easing of visa requirement), but can still do much more. China should make it easier for foreign tourists to travel inside China and to use Chinese digital payment systems. For example, only a small fraction of hotels in China are allowed to take foreign tourists but there is no easy way to find out if a hotel is allowed or not.

CHINA HAS A TRADE SURPLUS OF 1 TRILLION DOLLARS A YEAR..I AM AN AMERICAN BUSINESS MAN WHO HAVE BEEN TO CHINA.PRESIDENT XI AS A YOUNG MAN SPENT A WEEK IN IOWA.
