Every single time I go to London and I get off at Preston I play this song because it reminded me of Transpennie express that The Advert and I wanted to play it and my cousins started on singing my favourite part is “Mr sandman Yess? Bring me a dream” ❤
It's nice to see a colorized version of this video. This pop tune is an example of "close-harmony" singing, which was especially popular among vocal groups in the 1950s and early `1960s. Maybe the best of them all were the Andrews Sisters, who had many hits in the 1940s and 1950s. They were especially popular during WW II.
