Have you ever met someone who claims to be a Christian, but doesn’t act like it? Maybe they are even outspoken about what the Bible says, or why a particular point of Christianity is true… but their lives contradict the way Christians are called to live.
This sort of religious hypocrisy is damaging to the church and hurts people. And Jesus hates it too.
So the next time someone says, “I don’t go to church because the church is full of hypocrites,” here are 3 things to remember:
Number 1: Hypocrisy requires a moral standard.
Number 2: Jesus condemned religious hypocrisy.
Number 3: The behaviors of the believers are not the litmus test for Christianity.

I've never met such an unpleasant group of people till I worked for the church as a maintenance. I thought people who go to church knew better and would respect the holy ground. I was so so wrong. The bad mouthing and back stabbing was so bad in the office and the parishioners, I never wanted to go back to church. My boss was a manager in a car radiator factory who hired ex cons. He said he would rather work there than deal with the people in the church. LOL! It's almost as if people go there just to appear as if they give af but they actually don't.

I used to go to the Jehovah witnesses kingdom hall and I've also been to the Mormon church and the Jehovah's witnesses have this holier than thou attitude and the Mormons are just greedy and vain.

Well, it good to learn from God and bibles however people are not perfect so yeah and i wouldn’t bother that situation, they may be friendly with you in church however outside of church can be different. They normal talk to you in person but when you not around and just use phone to talk to they never replied back even they see you… It sad but that how it’s. Just be you, try save money for future….

Fact people who go to church are the most who criticizes others that's not cool I mean mine your own business let people live their own life and live yours the way you want but never criticize others that's how this one lady who is a friend of my mom she criticizes me my brother even my mom dad she even talks about her family her other friends I'm like omg shut your mouth already what is wrong with you lady you go to church and call yourself catholic come on this needs to stop. Some will always criticize other my advice stay away from this type of people they don't make you feel good in your skin very uncomfortable. 🤨

Some people go to church to tell themselves they are virtuous and think they have a license to criticize everyone else not as "virtuous". I hate those people...

Neither is true from a biblical perspective. Sin isn’t an illness. It’s a choice. The Bible doesn’t tell us to treat sin, it teaches us to walk away from it toward God. The modern church tells people to come as they are (unrepentant sinners) and that they will be welcomed into the family of God unconditionally.

A person who doesn't go to church because of hypocrisy, is judging the tree by its fruit(Luke 6:43-45; Matthew 7:15-23). And the church has a lot of bad fruit.

Focus on the MESSAGE and NOT the MESSENGERS. People are IMPERFECT and they do IMPERFECT things, however, what they TEACH is TRUE and the way we SHOULD be living our lives. Just because one person can't measure up don't mean others won't be able to carry out what is the RIGHT thing to do. So like I said previously, the MESSAGE is what's IMPORTANT.

Interesting, then I should take to heart exodus 22 where slavery is not only sanctioned but rules set forth! Or how about the practice of deception to gain a slave! This is moral standard? How about the moral standard of jealousy, so much so that God admits he violates his own law!!!! How about sanctioned murder by God, or the incest God has no problem with, how about the taking of sex slaves your God has nomproblem with! How about the death God caused because of man having a choice, so much for freedom of choice. Are these the messages that you mean, or do you purposely ignore these things! Or is it that you completely agree with these messages?

It's true pray and be grateful for what you have. Seriously I'm supposed to be happy low pay job,living in projects while they travel,live nice neighborhood, vehicles. Bringing in upper hundred thousands to millions yearly. Can donate over $100,000 to Ukraine but can't help me in Career Transition and Residence Change.

So, if none of us are perfect, why do you have to keep throwing it in everyone else's faces? The hypocrisy remains. The "standard" is meaningless if not followed by those who bother others about the subjects.I don't want a person who had a baby at 16 and was a drug addict telling me that I have to meet a standard they don't meet! It's gross! It's also sad that you don't even try to see it from the other perspective.

OK, off topic, but this _is_ about the video: At 1:40 I thought, "Oh, no, yet another portrayal of Jesus with long hair." Then, at 1:50, you showed other men with _short_ hair listening to long-haired Jesus. The latter portrayal is historically accurate. Men of that time and place had short hair. The apostle Paul even wrote that a man having long hair was shameful.

In light of the first point, it would be logically impossible for a moral relativist to accuse Christians of hypocrisy, since hypocrisy requires an absolute moral standard, which is the very thing moral relativists reject.

Appreciate this take- Jesus said: “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:32‬ ‭ The church should be full of sinners who admit they are sinners- not people claiming to be something they are not. I say a little more about this on my channel as well.

The bars, concerts, sporting events, movie theaters, recreational venues and our work places have a whole lot more hypocrites. So, church is the best place to go to be around fewer of them.
