Vote platform; are you more inclined toward more government control or less? toward a wider influence by secular culture or by a more traditional culture? Frankly, just posting this feels scary- like it will inflame individuals to react negatively by whoever feels offended by the comment- one way or the other. We are, sadly, pathologically divided.
I don't believe either of the candidates are any good. They are in it for the money. When your poor or disabled they don't care about you. I get tempted not to vote anymore. Because I don't like either one of them. I am disapointed with all of them. So I'm opting out of either being Republician or Democrat.
One important option not mentioned is that you can make a void vote. If you make a void vote, it tells the politicians that you care enough about the politics and exercising your rights enough to vote, but none of the candidates are good enough for you. It is a way to participate and have a voice without throwing away your vote, whereas if you do not vote at all you may as well be invisible to the politicians.
This entire decision-making paradigm is rooted in and designed to perpetuate a false dichotomy. There are always more than two options, and as Christians, we should be the first to refuse to support a powerful party that doesn’t openly, consistently, and unabashedly support Biblical moral ethics. The quandary we find ourselves in, as a country, is the direct consequence of Christians allowing politics to override their theology rather than ensuring that their theology informs their politics.
It's all a rigged stage show, it doesn't mean anything whoever they want to put in power they'll put in power, voting is an illusion and a deception to make people stay in the world's ways and in sin, possibly even bounds people to something sinister, don't vote evere, and there is no real choice, both sides represent the same thing, the enemy and sin
This is not a vote of Right vs Left, Democrats vs Republican. We shouldn’t have only 2 choices but it is quite clear we are truly in a fight of Good against evil! He might not be perfect but he LOVES AND PUTS THIS COUNTRY FIRST! I can’t wait to vote for TRUMP! 🙏🏻🇺🇸✝️💜💪🏼
1) "Vote for who you think is better" What if I don't want to pick EITHER poison? Both parties are a hazard to our spiritual, mental, emotional, sexual, and physical well-being. Voting for either option ("Republican" or "Democratic") is like inflicting a wound on ourselves. 2) "Vote for the best policies" Politicians are notorious for being dishonest (i.e., not totally honest) about their policies, just to garner votes and momentum. So *in theory* it seems like we might be voting for a candidate's policies and ideology, but most of the time, what they claim to represent isn't true in the slightest. 3) "Vote for the best team" Unfortunately, the best "team" nowadays involves journalists and sensationalists (and so on) who are working their hardest to essentially manipulate the public into voting a particular man/woman into "power." The "team" we might be voting for only has the short-lived success of a single individual or "ego" in mind. These "teams" are like henchmen or servants working for THEIR monarch to *win,* instead of working their hardest to ensure that WE, the National Community, receive the LEADER we need to move in the direction that SERVES OUR COLLECTIVE GROWTH & EVOLUTION). Interesting perspectives and options you've shared, but I still won't vote. I am open to having my mind changed, though :)

This might be fair advice if we got to select the candidates, but we don't. The Democrat and Republican primaries are a sham. The Democrats didn't even bother pretending to hold a full primary for their presidential nominee in the 2024 election. Without a proper nomination process, we only have an illusion of choice. Rank choice ballots would help by adding pressure for each party to nominate a popular candidate, but that's why the Republican and Democrat authorities are against it. Abstention at least sends the message that the selected candidates are unacceptable. If we keep voting for one of these duds, we'll just keep getting the bad choices we're getting now.
It's like anything else in life. There are rules that govern human sexuality laid out by God in His Word. A person who cheats in basket ball doesnt love basketball any more than a pperson who plays by the rules. It could be argued that the person who plays by the rules loves basketball more.
This depends on a persons world view. In the Christian worldview we are governed by Gods Word. God created human sexuality for procreation and forbids sex outside of biblical marriage between a man and his wife.
Tthe person is uninformed about how the bible has impacted society for good and how cultures that do not have the bible as their foundation are adversely effected. They would be shocked to know that our univerities, hospitals, the abolition of slavery, our US constition are ALL products of bible followers.
For all the people here- Theism- I believe that god exist. Atheism- I believe that no gods exist. When you say I lack belief that god exist makes you an agnostic and not an atheist. Agnosticism is not a position on belief. It's a position on knowledge- a person who either does not think it's possible to prove with certainty whether or not a god exists or a person who thinks the question is inherently unknowable.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the FATHER except through me" - John 14:6 A Christian God does not pray to another God; Jesus prayed to God. We were not instructed to pray, "Our Jesus who art in heaven". Jesus said to them, "Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor" He could NOT do any miracles there, except he lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. - Mark 6:4-5 GOD IS ALL POWERFUL, NONE CAN STOP HIS MIRACLES.
This video makes the Bible sound like a nursery rhyme that magically descended from Heaven. Even the layman can do better than say the Bible was written by a "collection of men". Are we to imply from the video that Moses wrote Deuteronomy, Matthew wrote the Gospel of Matthew and Luke (if we even know who "Luke" is) wrote the Gospel of Luke? Just about no modern scholar holds this position. As for a thousand other questions....

I would say no, pornography is not helpful in any setting. It is evil. Porn destroys the mind, pollutes the soul and defiles the spirit. How do you destroy your enemy without firing a shot or missile? Broadcast porn through their tv networks. It's what's got America into the mess we're in culturally. God's commands are in place because he loves us, not because he's keeping pleasure from us. There is far more pleasure when we follow his commands. Living a clean life is more fulfilling and rewarding. Degrading your body and mind while watching others perform the act in unrealistic manners distorts your reality. Live a life dedicated to Christ and let him cleanse you. You'll understand the freedom from sin when you are no longer seeking out porn.
This is why the world we live in is still so ignorant. Lack of accountability. Deuteronomy 20:10-18. God is telling his people to basically go and jack these other people for their land. If your God all mighty all powerful, why not just give people their own land. Why command people that you created to go and slaughter others that you created just to give them something. Deuteronomy 20:10-18 says 10 When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. 11 If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. 12 If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. 13 When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. 14 As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. Then God also tells them to take woman and children as plunder to do what you want! This is no God, this is called conquest. The ones that wrote the book are the ones who did the conquering. I'd rather worship a flying donkey.
look... in my opinion jesus is just Gods avatar. life is a simulation and God decided to join the game and play with us. in other words....he is 1000% God in my belief
What we don’t do is a choice that affects everyone not just one person. And when we don’t vote, we hand over the work to someone who basically we didn’t want anyways. May as well choose the person who will do the least damage and become more involved. Opting out is how we got here. 🤷🏽♀️We all have to accept that we play a role in the betterment of our society or its destruction. Choices. And ignoring it isn’t changing anything.
Religious freedom also protects those religions who are oppressed by the dominant social groups and religions… at least, in theory it does. The trouble is seldom a religion itself, but the power a social group has over another. Religion doesn’t magically manifest that power into being on its own.
UFOs are on God's side and are described all over the Bible. The ancient used semantic and called the spaceships, clouds, pillars, chariots and glory. The Bible talks about “clouds” going up and down with people going in and out (Exodus 24:18 - Moses entered the cloud). Clouds do not make those movements described in the Bible, but spaceships do. Jesus ascended in a “cloud” (Acts 1:9). God rides in a “cloud” (Isaiah 19:1, Psalm 104:3). Jesus will come back “with” the “clouds” (Mat 26:64, Rev 1:7). Jesus will come back commanding a fleet of starships. The church will be raptured “in” the “clouds” (I Thess. 4:17). Spaceships will be used to rapture the church. The ancient did not have vocabulary or knowledge to understand what they saw so they called the flying objects “clouds”, “chariots”, and “pillars”, because were the words they had to describe something flying in the sky. The Bible even tells in Psalm 68:17 how many spaceships are in the fleet “The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands” (about 20,000). There is a good research done by Patrick Cooke called “The Great Deception - The Bible UFO Connection” which has the original words describing spaceships. It is all over the Bible. Jesus is real. He is the savior of the world, but He is not seating in a puffy cloud. He is commanding a powerful army, which will take control of our planet and stop all wars. The Jews had contact with beings from another planetary system called The Elohim, commanded by The Most High God. The Elohim had to have a special covenant with humans to be able to save our planet from destruction. They got the agreement with the Jews, but the Jews were not faithful to the agreement so The Most High God sent Jesus to make a new covenant and have legal rights to save our planet from destruction. The Jews made a covenant with beings from another planetary system. Psalm 82:1-6 says that God presides over a great assembly. Something like a federation of planets. If you want to confirm what I am saying just look at a painting made in 1710 by someone that had access to the secret archives of the Vatican. Look at the paint " The Baptism of Christ" by Aert de Gelder. Now that we know more about science, we can understand the descriptions in the Bible. They described high technology but didn't have words to express. When they saw spaceships with strong lights they called "glory”. The "glory" of God was a spaceship with lights. In the interplanetary law the price to save us was innocent blood. That is why Jesus had to die for us. He was fulfilling a legal requirement. Put your knees on the floor and surrender your life to Jesus.
The freedoms of Americans, insofar as it goes, are guaranteed by the constitution, not elections. Only in the areas where the Bill of Rights is cast iron do Americans retain meaningful liberty, and anywhere else even the tiniest loopholes left by the founding fathers have been mercilessly exploited to expand the reach of the state. Voting is almost always a choice between the lesser of two evils. Furthermore politicians tend to be very much of the "given an inch, take a mile" type. You may vote on a small and specific point, but you can bet the person you voted for takes it as a mandate for their *whole* agenda. I have some real reservations whether Christians should muddy their hands with this cesspit. We're not promised freedom, and if you are blessed to live in a period of peace like the reign of Josiah, then praise God. But, you're not *entitled* to it. Over here in the UK it is even worse. We have no constitution restraining the power of the state and all you get to defend yourself is 1/45 millionth of a say (the size of our electorate). In fact it's worse than that because we have an electoral system which ensures that most votes are meaningless. Yet because you "have a say" it is taken as a mandate for all sorts of wickedness. I think elections are something Christians should prayerfully endure rather than gleefully participate in. However I wouldn't judge a a brother or sister who felt differently...
But it’s better to give it a chance than to not give it a chance even if it can be used for evil; and I mean any evil. Like, would you actively not discriminate purple or just let humans be humans?
