Honestly, don't apologize for your "yapping". It's meaningful discussion; your keen observations and banter make me even more excited for Jinhsi and Changli as a whole, especially their relationship dynamic. I love me a mentor character who is genuinely supportive, caring but also never loses sight of their responsibilities. It makes me all the more loyal to Jinhsi's cause.

There're posts on Twitter about Vanguard Studio (PGR Music studio) working with Kuro for Wuwa. And with these cinematics one-upping themselves i have really high hope for this game

I dont get why people think this is her "demo trailer" when it never even shows her animations/skills

I feel like the parallels between her journey to the mountaintop to face Jue and her Rite of the Magistrate have deeper meaning. We can see her gaining what looks like dragon scales as she journeys upwards. I feel like this journey is a Rite as well, and Jue seeks to pass on its power to Jinhsi to perhaps become the next Sentinel.

I love both of the designs for their eyes; both evoke a supernatural vibe that I’m down with.

Man I've been watching people react and I think there are a few artistic decisions that went in the storyboarding and cutting room that aren't even highlighted that were crucial to the visual storytelling: Let me just start by saying that with my basic-ass Chinese I can say that after watching Chinese, Japanese and the English dub, the English one comes closer to the context of the original Chinese dub than the Japanese one in terms of translation and sentence structure. The Japanese one takes slightly more creative freedom but the context isn't lost. Though there are somethings I feel that are lost in translation due to how Chinese works for example; Jue talking in four word sentences like how ye olde Chinese royalty or figures of power would, that makes them sound like the smart one in the room. -The theme of the cinematic was cycles right, ends and beginnings and how they will mirror each other. The general tone is that if Jingzhou started without a sentinel, it will end with no sentinel. The funny thing is I always thought the Jing in Jingzhou was 金/Gold (jin) but it was actually 今/The Present (jing). 州/Zhou just means region or province. Because the region, Huanglong is named after the mythical gold dragon that unites the four sacred beasts (Zhuque/Changli, Xuanwu/MAYBE Yuanwu, Baihu/MAYBE Lingyang and Qinglong/Jiyan). -Given we know that cycles is the theme (a common belief in eastern regions), It's nice to see how past, present and future blurs as Jinhsi climbs Mt. Firmament. I also always thought the dragon posing to mimic an infinity symbol was cringe but it kinda works here because of the context. -That brings me to the skimpy outfit in the winter thing. I think it's quite poetic that the coat she wears was only during a ceremony and when she took her "first step" up the stairs of Jingzhou towards the Grand Library, it cuts to winter when she is actually duty bound to protect her people. And when that starts the scene starts rapidly alternating between past and present, while Jue recites the oath Jinshi would hold as she becomes magistrate is what the youngins would call absolute cinema. That coat being the representation of Jingzhou's and its' comfort being harshly cut away to the cold winter is a nice touch as the music swells up. And finally builds to that contrast of the ceremony and the moments before Jinhsi attempts to off the sentinel is chefs kiss. I've watched this fucking cinematic dozens of times. Help.

I think Kuro is notorious for creating really sexy girlies but with complex (nawt very sexy-only) characteristics. ALSO, in 1.0 some chatters said that maybe Changli is the one pulling the strings and basically controlling Jinhsi as she is so young. I mean it was also revealed that it was Changli who prepared the "tokens" for Rover. I'm actually curious about whether we can really trust her or not!! It would be cool either way!

NGL she is the most detailed and accurate analyst for all the reaction videos i have watched. I loved smack beakdown for trailers but he is simping over changli so hard which steals the spotlight for jinshi. Picking up the small details like dragon scale, their story telling of character and not only be a coomer but great prespective, perfect provide their personality . Not a random reaction then woooooo like content. Really enjoy the hex thought process. XD

Wuwa characters have a lot more depth to me then I expected. I personally feel neutral to a mommy waifu, but I didn't expected myself to be liking Yinlin after her companion quest. She's not just your dommy mommy. She's a vigilante, literal batman , doing what's right instead of exploiting others. She saves the innocents. And I feel like Changli is gong to be a responsible, caring and supportive character. And hell Jhinsi is not just a cute white hair girl who follow her duty. She's badass, independent, caring and smart. Seeing what we got from 1.0, I can't wait for 1.1 companion quest.

The village that was destroyed was Jinhsi's village, the baby that was picked up was also Jinhsi, who was saved by Jue. You could say that you are already like parents for Jinhsi. But because of predictions. Jinhsi needs to fight jue for jinzhou.. Imagine you need to fight the entity that saved you, who you already consider your parents. 😊 Jinhsi's last words 'serve you will. This means he will follow his wishes. Because it's a prediction. Jue will fight Jinhsi, that's already in the predictions. So Jue wants the prophecy to come true.. Even though Jinhsi doesn't want to fight Jue.. It's cool that Kuro made the story

So I think her scales are probably her Resonant Spectrum Patterns that she gets when she's getting her awakening as she climbs up the mountain. It makes sense because it's her convening with Jue and the coldness of the mountains; so the white scales are probably a mixture of those 2 frequencies. We maybe don't see them clearly until she's maybe in like a special state in game, which would be interesting since other RSPs like Verina or Yangyang's are seen all the time.

Help, when Changli appeared, I thought "Hex will bark." and I love being correct.

All that money they just raked in obviously was used....thats why im so happy about kuro making it big. Everytime their budget goes up you can see them improve in real time. Same with pgr. Its obvious the devs love the games they make and the animations they create. Hoyo just seems to stagnate its not bad like hsr is a good example but its not a fast improvement. Kuro improves at an incredibly fast rate when pushed to their limits. Plus genshin never seems to change in quality that much when compared to hsr. Ive been playing pgr on cn and the quality has drastically improved in the last couple of months leading up to and during wuthering waves they definitely fork some of the budget over to their other games and i really appreciate that from a company, and they also listen which is very nice, thwy wmailed me back within 3 hrs and helped me fix an issue with my ui. they have been doing that in pgr from the beginning i have full faith they will continue to improve.

I really appreciate this trailer. It's beautiful and I really hope they put this soundtrack team to work on the game music. The current music in game is bland to me, I only have the crownless fight music impression in my mind. Just a note for those who are not familiar with the eastern culture: Changli pyro is from Pheonix, and this ancient mystical creature is always paired with dragon which is what Jinshi power is from. In Chinese wedding, you can see people always use this dragon and phoenix pair. In fact, I salute kuro stand in blending in so much of Chinese culture element in this game. Japanese culture anime games are easily found everywhere (you know who I am talking about) given how hype they are due to the popularity of anime and manga, Kuro style just give a fresh take on anime with Chinese eastern culture in it. If you do understand mandarin, I would encourage you to play this game in Chinese voice. A lot of the text, way of speech and the meaning in their phrases are really lost in translation, even to Japanese language. Kuro even put in speech dialect in their NPC where the guy that is selling ingredient in the game has Cantonese mandarin accent.
