This routine first appeared in the October 2007 issue of M.U.M. magazine. The Matched Spellout, from Ultimate Card Secrets by Dai Vernon, inspired the creation of this routine, page 17. I thought it would be a fun twist on the plot by misspelling each one of the words. I proposed the plot in my 1999 lecture notes but was unhappy with the cull and would publish the routine when I solved the problem. It took me a few years, but here is the final result.
Cybersecurity has been in the news for the last few decades, so I changed the storyline to follow that theme.
