How fun. I've been thinking about making enhancement shaman next week when classic starts and I thought to myself "Hamsterwheel has made a video about this subject, I'm certain" and went to search from youtube with "Hamsterwheel enhancement shaman" and saw this literally uploaded 45mins ago :D
Level as enhancement with a 1h n shield really helped me tank dungeons and kept me alive really well in pvp I loved it. I didn't go 2h until my late 40s when weapons had really good stats.
thank you so much for this video bro, i was having a bad time as i couldnt decide which class roll as my main in classic, now im 100% going enhancement shaman as i did back in the day, thank you so much!
If you're a shaman and want to roll on Ravager in SM, remind the warrior that whenever it procs, he'll be locked in whatever stance he's in, and generate 0 rage for 9 seconds every time it procs. It's really cancer for warriors, and much, much better for Shaman.
nice video. I plan to level an enhancement shaman as my main. I think its best to go 1h and shield from 1-20. Get 2H as your level 20 talent. level with 2H from 20-29. Then at 30 you get windfury and go back to 1h and shield. At least that's what I plan on doing. This will help enhancement shaman to heal, tank, and dps basically every dungeon up until BRD.
great video loved the staff n 2h n dagger with shield part the most. So much info for each lv. I only with u showed your talent teee for 2h n dagger with shield.
At lvl 60 I originally combined a reg blue axe with a shield against warriors, and a lvl 60 2H blue axe against most others. After that I grinded AV for the UF and the IO + the blue axe
Enhancement will always have a place in my heart, I hope on Classic they will be more viable in pve than on private servers....I been hearing Shamans were a bit under tuned only time will tell.
@NizzyNizerson for leveling speed doesnt matter, for tanking 5 mans faster is better (more consistent threat and changing targets) unless you use stormstrike, where you want slower weapon
1h/shield is better for leveling because enhancement shamans are viable tanks. It's good for the faster dungeon queues and you will have less competition for the shield drops.
@@PinePizza it's more useful than the mana talent early on. If you'd like the option to tank or want more survival against warriors, rogues, feral druids and paladins then 1h and shield is a decent choice. I've done a few dungeons with a fellow enhance. I had 2h and they had 1h. We were neck and neck most of the time (unless I crit) because where he lacked as much melee his weapon buff more than made up for it.
There's also Kang the decapitator, if you have a Warlock friend and are willing to risk getting caught in Duskwood there's actually a way to get very good droprates on a lot of 40+ BoE epics.
Rockbiter is usually better than WF in PvE. Melderon has a great video analyzing the math behind each weapon enhancement. Rockbiter is the best. WF is great in pvp due to potential burst rather than consistent damage.
I don’t get how slow attack speed is beneficial for enhance... you’re just more likely to overkill. Faster attack speed means more chances to crit and proc flurry, and it’s always 20% for wind fury proc anyway
slow attack is important, but what really matters is one hit dmg on a weapon, because stormstrike is just an instant attack (if you use a fast dagger you will hit for 50dmg, if you use a slow axe maybe 250 for the same mana spent)
It’s just because of Stormstrike. If it weren’t for Stormstrike, fast 2-handers are actually better due to more Flurry uptime. But SS is key in an Enhance’s rotation.
Good video was looking for something g like this. However I noticed you missed a potential weapon in scarlet monastery you didn't mention the 2h mace from mograine I think it was called migraines might. I remember having this back in vanilla.
My guild on lucifron pvp is in Search for a good enhancement shaman so if any Other German Happens to See this Video answer this Comment:) also Hamsterwheel thanks for the nice content from germany !
@@Luce166LP there is still a stigma on the enhancement spec even to this day :( doesnt matter if you are dedicated and bring twice as much consumables and know how to properly totem twist (more int based gear and major focus on mp5 sacrifising even more dps) you still "sucked balls" because you chose to spec enhance.
Feel like you'd rather the Chief's Enforcer from ZF than the Resurgance rod. That stun procs more than most other weapons with that stun, and very high damage windfuries since it's a slowboi
i love my classic 2hd enhancement shaman im pretty geared and the windfuries are great......if i wasnt playing 2hd enhenhancement in classic i wouldnt play classic wow at all. a little advice for 2hd enhancement get good 2hd weapons you damage comes from your weapon the gear from raids is minuet .i stopped at the unstoppable force range 8 4 piece [v[ set zg gear and black dragon scale shoulders with the crown of destruction..again if you play an enhancement shaman make sure you get the best 2hd weapon you can get.
No mention of illusionary rod? I'm about to whoop some ass when I hit lvl 34 and can use it. 3.5 speed better top dmg then the corpse maker. And good stats
As much as I love 1h shield combo i think it was defcamp who tested damage of different weapon enchantment with different weapon speed on the beta. Apparently flametongue was worst than frostbrand and 100% of the time no matter what the speed.of the weapon was, Rockbiter was always superior.
@@MrDanielWP because I wish it was true. I wish 1hander flametongue would be the meta like it was on all private servers but in his video advanced shaman guide part2 he shows how Rockbiter outperforms all others in every situation
If the earthbind kiting works, then 2 handed weapon is superior and also if it's true that 1 strength is 2 attack power, the 2 hander is a must. Enhance is definitely better dps spec than mages and warlocks in molten core phase. After that get ready for bench.
Rofl. A Frostbolt every 2.5 seconds, at ave base dmg of 535+spellpower+6% (with +100% crit dmg) is going to out-dps an Enhancement Shaman substancially. And, Curse of Elements really improves Mage DPS. A good raid leader will maximize Mage DPS. The entire Enhancement build is proccing Windfury and Flurry. Windfury will help Warriors stay #1 on the meter, but it won't make a shaman do 350+ DPS for an entire raid.
Only if its a guild run, no one has a priority over an item you want in a pug unless it is agreed upon at the start. When a super rare drops unexpectedly I would only back off an item if its the tank or healer saying they need it for tanking or healing....fuck your off spec.
I've been elemental since classic came out. I like the burst but I'm always ooming. I recently got all Cath/Arm gear + Ravager. Should I go enhance now or should I continue as ele?
Would you advise following the 1hand+shield segment if the goal is Enhancement tanking? I plan on tanking as enhancement shaman all through the leveling process. Or is it better to roll for warrior shields and stamina based axes/maces
Do you mean you want to tank in dungeons as a enhancement shaman? Leveling with 1h+shield is good as your survivability would be better, I've leveled a shaman to 60 using 2h weapons once I got the talent. Leveling using both weapon types are viable it just depends on what's your play style.
@@RyanNickelsPK Lower level dungeon will be fine, but once you get to the higher level dungeons it's going to be harder because Shamans dont have a lot of armor mitigation to suck up the damage. Your only option to manage your threat is using Rockbite weapon, Earthshock and Stoneclaw Totem. I've personally never tried tanking as a Shaman in the higher level dungeons, who knows maybe you can pull it off the the right tanking gear. Best of luck and have fun. :D
@@ryuno2097 from what Ive seen. Shamans can easily handle the threat required for tanking. With proper gear itemization, consumables, and enchants, they can tank any dungeon in the game, all the way up to molten core. I havent heard of a shaman main tank for the entirety Of molten core but I know they are capable of tanking at least a few bosses. Thats my goal. Balls to the wall as a shaman tank and main tank an entire MC run.
Hamsterwheel I’ve never had it proc windfury during the spin, it does however proc frostbrand which is laughably retarded. I did a shitton of SM arms and SM cath runs, windfury is by far the worst option for ravager since the damage output with rockbiter or frostbrand while spinning is insane.
any warrior that competes with an enhancement shaman for corps maker is just an inconsiderate a-hole. you literally get your whirlwind weapon in 1 more level and besides the final part of the chain it is not to difficult to complete and farm all the mats yourself under lv 35.
