I think you have done this trying to capture even a glimpse of the original vanilla experience and I think you got close a few times. The last I remember you took an undead mage all the way through naxx gear. That has been years ago now.... Now ask yourself what happens in 10 years your daughter sees your videos and starts a Private server channel. LOL JK .... Have fun dude. Only guy I trusted fully in this.
it looks like king fu panda witch is fine but so out of place compared to to the rest of the world and yeah love the expansion never even made a panda character :D maybe if they could be Dks they would look different idk

I started playing in 1.9-1.11 or so, and I specifically remember going out of my way to tame rare mobs of as low lvl as possible in order to have more available pet talent points and it was supposedly stronger too. But then, I found out it actually made no diference at all. But it was intuitively true. Too bad they removed this feature from the game.

I value everything that can regenerate health and mana efficiently: - Lei of Lilies (a must-have for EVERY class; basically a free Night Dragon's Breath every hour, i.e. a consumable that doesn't share a CD with pots) - Mana replenishment: Energy Cloak, Mar'li's Eye, Second Wind, Fire Ruby (Mage), Arcane/Ley Orb (Mage), Robe of the Archmage (Mage), Veildust Medicine Bag (Druid), Enamored Water Spirit (Shaman), Celestial Orb (Mage) - Health restoration: Lifestone (cheap, nice to pick up at 51 for AV grinding), Gauntlets of the Sea (cheap, typically used for tough leveling quests), Furbolg Medicine Pouch, Orb of Soran'Ruk (Warlock), Orb of Noh'Orahil (Warlock) - Burst of Knowledge (I used this on my mage for specific AOE pulls to save 700 mana per pull every 15 minutes (6 AEs + CS = 700 saved)) - Major Recombobulator (restores both health and mana, and contrary to expectation it can be used on yourself even when you aren't polymorphed, essentially just granting you an average of +500 mana and health every 5 minutes without interfering with consumable CDs) On my Mage, I typically equipped Robe of the Archmage/Mar'li's Eye/Energy Cloak before starting to conjure my stacks of water. These items can all be used in conjunction with no interfering cooldowns, so I could always conjure even more water before resorting to Evocation or drinking. Of course when I cast Evocation, I would equip my trusty Will of Arlokk (with +20 Spirit) to go from 0% to 100% mana reliably. Lei of Lilies was an item I made sure to buy for every single character I had. I used it on my Warrior and Rogue as well, even though it does share a CD with Thistle Tea, for example. This little lifeline has saved me a hundred times over throughout my years of playing this game. Seeing as it also restores mana, it's obviously far more useful for any class reliant on mana, but I would definitely recommend it to everyone looking to stay alive. Some of the lower level items I typically discard fairly early on (Veildust Medicine Bag, Arcane/Ley Orb), but their usefulness cannot be overstated. Restoring a big chunk of your mana pool with one press of a button makes your early leveling that much more efficient. Stuff like the Warlock's various orbs that restore health are highly useful for ~10 more levels after obtaining them despite their hefty cooldowns. Whenever we had any wipes, I would make sure to equip my mana restoration items as I re-entered the dungeon/raid portal. I could just click Mar'li's Eye on and let it tick for 30 seconds while running, for example. As for consumables, I created a separate list: - Senggin Root/Cooked Crab Claw (these things can be eaten while drinking water, essentially just giving you a 7% mana regeneration increase whenever you sit down to drink even at level 60) - Crystal Restore (admittedly I didn't carry these things with me religiously, but I did occasionally use them on my Rogue/Warrior to cast heals on OTHER PLAYERS who were in dire straits -- I even recall having saved healers with these) - Juju Escape (these things were a part of my Rogue's daily arsenal, as for some reason I could reliably pick the E'kos for 5-20 silvers each on the AH. I often used them for the cleaving bug packs in AQ40, and the extra 10% dodge reduced my amount of knockbacks to almost 0) - Flash Bomb (not really a secret, but this thing is hilarious vs. Druids and Hunter pets, but what many people forget is that the fear does NOT BREAK from damage!) - Ice/Flame Deflector (these guys don't share CDs with anything (like FAPs), and they really make killing Mages trivial on classes that typically struggle with them) - Discombobulator Ray (another one that really isn't a secret, but it's so powerful I have to mention it: dismount AND debuff players of the opposing faction!) Over my years of playing this game I did also come to realize some other gear pieces never got the love they deserved. I'd like to list some of them below as well. Gear: - Jek'lik's Crusher (this thing is broken for Shamans! It procs from itself, and each separate proc can trigger WF. In my tests, I personally witnessed it proccing 8 times in 1 hit, essentially one-shotting almost any player) - Gnomish Cloaking Device (can be used in combat, works like Vanish in PVP but does not drop aggro from mobs) - Chained Essence of Eranikus (I like using this funny trinket when pulling 3 core hound packs (12 mobs), and it does a total of 5400 damage without using a GCD. I find it hilarious) - Heart of Noxxion (kind of a niche use case, but I duoed BRD's arena for SGC with a Priest friend, and the poisons cast by the scorpids/arachnids can completely cripple you if you can't cleanse them, and this trinket is a free solution to that problem) - Gnomish Harm Prevention Belt (essentially a belt that grants you 560 Health and can be equipped as early as level 20 -- a solid gank protection item for any alt leveling in STV, as even when it fails, it BANISHES you for 20 seconds making you immune to any damage) - Blackblade of Shahram (when this thing procs and summons Shahram, the buffs he can provide to your group are absolutely PHENOMENAL (+25% haste to group, +50 all stats)) - Misplaced Servo Arm (not a Chance on hit, but an Equip effect, meaning when you have 2 of these, your main hand actually benefits from both effects resulting in a flurry of procs) - Blade of Eternal Darkness (not just a Mage item, but it also comes with hidden benefits to other classes: BIS for Elemental Shamans, and it used to proc from a Priest's Mind Vision before it was unfortunately nerfed)

Playing on Warmane's Lordaeron server for the authentic wotlk leveling experience I had back in like 2010, this time I'm rolling alliance cause I was always horde when I used to play... it's been fun so far, not even lvl 15 after like five hours /played lol

I am seeing this video kinda late, but I completely agree. I quit official WoW and right now I am playing on TurtleWoW and leveling in my own pace. Level 17 hunter also leveling leatherworking only to make gear for myself.

Longtime subscriber here...dont think i've ever interacted with the comunity, but i've lurked in here for years and years. Your mini "serie" (was Naxxramas 40 really that hard) is one of the two videos that made me interested into playing WoW... i had never touched the game in a serious matter (tried to play retail, back during MoP or Legion, and got bored before even reaching the Level 20 at which the free trial would have ended anyway)... the game really felt meaningless, pointless and uninteresting. Then your video popped into my feed and, together with another video from Preach Gaming, interested me in this version of WoW that sounded so completely different from what i had tried... so i installed a vanilla WoW copy, modified the installation to connect to a small private server called Northdale, and .... 7 years later i'm still here.... i've made some of my most stable friendships in the game, and it has become effectively a hobby and a passion, with me progressing through the entire Classic content up to now in Cata, and also engaging a lot in retail Mythic. Thank God, I decided to leave the game when Naxx came out. We were already doing AQ 40, but I knew the game's design was bullshit. I am so glad I left.
Hi! Just discovered your channel because I was looking for a private TBC server that me and my family could join and this server looks PERFECT for us. I am a certified "gramma" gamer, [raid heal spec shaman] who RECENTLY "became" a gramma (my son [raid heal spec priest/druid] has a sweetheart that has 4 ADORABLE adopted special needs kids - so if those are HIS kids now, then they are MY GRANDKIDS now!). I want to turn our little family into our own little "party" and run around in TBC having fun, excitement, exploration, and learning teamwork, fulfilling "job" roles (tank, dps, healing) and even just simple "cat herding" (what my son calls it) in a super safe, supervised way, and have HOURS upon HOURS of entertainment for a little upfront cost to us (lol, we gotta buy each kid their own laptop). I just remember FONDLY my own years in wow, and how my kids & their friends (then preteens/teens/young adults) stayed GOOD KIDS!!! They were at OUR house "partying" together in a way that did not involve drugs, alcohol, dangerous or destructive behaviors. Now I want to give all of that to my super sweet but high risk grandkids (they were all born to drug/alcohol addicted mothers), and I want to build positive and fun family memories. I just want them to survive teenage/young adult phases in 1 piece lol. Anyway, all that to just say "HI" and if you ever run into a little oversized party (we have to convert to raid so we can all play/exp together) please don't think we are bots, the littlest 2 dont know how to read yet let alone type and respond, the older 2 will become amazing players I have no doubt, and can read, but still might need to learn proper typing lol. I only raid probably twice a month, Most of my time is spent on farming, collecting some items i think are cool that i saw in youtube, or leveling an alt, rarely do pvp though but sometimes do some pvp with my brother and some friends, It's like a sandbox and I enjoy it. Never seen a both though
I grinded Tyrs Hand for weeks to get the gold for my epic mount. One of the best memories of classis Wow. Of course with my Winamp playlist in the background 😆

The influx of especially the Spanish speaking players have recently forced me out of WoW entirely. Why? Well... disclaimer: No, what I am about to say is not racism. A nationality is not a race. Keep that in mind. So, why am I quitting? Because the Spanish speaking population of private servers typically just are the worst players. I have no issue with Chinese players. Even if we can't understand one another, I know the Chinese player typically actually knows what they're doing. In fact, by and large, they're quite good. Same with Russians and Ukranians. Quite a few of those in the private server space as well. Can't speak either of their languages but, well... I don't have to. They know what they're doing, I can depend on them knowing that and, consequently, no communication is really required. The Spanish players though... I have no idea if it's a cultural thing, a dietary thing or something else related to being from the Spanish speaking nations but... they're all entirely hopeless players. Without fail they just can't play. To the point where, by now... Tauri's Evermoon server has devolved into pure wintrading, as far as the BGs are concerned. No one is caring anymore to play properly. None of them can. It's all just pure wintrading. The server is... dead. PvP is just a complete waste of time and PvE? You should consider yourself happy if you can complete a FLEX difficulty run of SoO's 2nd wing. Because... the Spanish speaking people just don't seem to understand how KDS even works. Let alone managing to get it down. So, thanks, Latin world... you ended my 20 year addiction. By being so poor at the game, you've literally made it impossible for veterans such as myself to find any more enjoyment in it.
Thanks for all you have done for WoW, you inspired so many players to play how they want, not just stupid meta 1-2 classes and 1 spec for each class in it, it is really cool. Just believe, we will wait for you at this channel if you ever suddenly want to record some new videos, and nowadays, I want to say, that you are right, time with family is very important, good luck to you! 😀
I loved watching all your videos, man. I grew up watching your content. I can visibly remember watching all your private server content when I was younger and being enamored. I was too scared to branch out and try to get old WoW clients, and I just didn't know how to do it at the time, haha. We wish you well and a great future. You are gonna kill it in whatever you pursue!
I started playing around 1.11, but man it must have been such an experience to play right at the beginning. No one knew anything, everything was new, and the world probably held so much wonderment and things to be discovered for the first time
