I bought the Marlin 925 new because it was made in North Haven, before moving their manufacturing, it's been an excellent rifle, 10 yo Grandson loves it too, very accurate, great video thanks.

Looks like my Marlin model 80, I have two of them one pre war and one from the60s no s/n newer one has the micro groove barrel. The newer one had a bipod and a 3x9x40 scope extremely accurate guns
Just picked up a old beat up 25mn .22mag last week already redone the stock and gonna reblue the barrel gonna use it as a coyote gun to keep in the truck around the property
Does the magazine 'lock' in on this rifle? I inherited a 1973 Glenfield and the mag can be pulled out without pushing in that bottom tab. Do you know if that's normal?
I bought it new back in 1987, the serial number says it was made in 1985. It is the earlier version of the 25 they changed the mags on the newer ones. Thanks for asking
@@TheRighttoArmBears2022 I bought one in maybe 2013, but have to admit I have yet to shoot it. I actually scored some deals at that time on several .22 caliber firearms, including two 99M1 Marlin carbines and a Glenfield (department-store Marlin variant) 75. My 25 also dates from 1985. ;-)
@@Just1American1966 Cool that was about the time I got mine, does yours have the funny looking mags like mine, they change them later on. I actually was shooting it yesterday to try and cut a card in half, they are great guns.
@The Right to Arm Bears Yes, it does. I ordered another one for it off eBay for some reason after I got it. My work partner inherited a Glenfield 25 a few years back and asked me to find him a magazine, too, which I did. His rifle is older, predating the serial number mandate, and has a different-style bolt rear, but it takes the same magazine.
@@Just1American1966 I know the mags are getting harder to find, I found three of them at a little guns store and bought them all and found another in discount bin at another shop so I have 5 now.😁
