This beautiful tag was created by ‪@willchambers8065‬ who also tagged me.
I love classical music, so it was great fun for me doing this tag.
Here are the four prompts:
1.) Edvard Grieg: Peer Gynt, Suite No. 1, Op. 46 Morning Mood:
What type of book - be it fiction, nonfiction, prose, or poetry could or do you read first thing in the morning? alternatively, if you're not a morning reader - what book do you think has a great morning scene?
2.) Richard Wagner Walkürenritt (Ride of the Valkyries):
A book you enjoyed where the protagonist dies, or an important death/funeral takes place.
3.) Johann Pachelbel: Canon and Gigue in D Major: Canon
Which book did you enjoy which has a wedding that you wish you could attend?
4.) Gustav Holst: The Planets, Op. 32: IV. Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity:
A book or series which poignantly moves through phases?
Books mentioned:
J.L. Carr - A Month in the Country
Gustave Flaubert - Madame Bovary
Günter Grass - The Tin Drum - Die Blechtrommel
Wladislaw Reymont - The Peasants - Die polnischen Bauern

How thrilling if we could listen to the music as part 2 of this tag...and replay it over breakfast of course.

I was tempted to add music tracks, but I'm sure this would have created trouble with the copyright.

I read _A Month in the Country_ recently but would never have remembered it fits the prompt. (Haha even in this tag _memento mori_ lies not far beneath the surface. 😂)

A lovely selection of books. A Month in the Country I am desperate to read soon but as part of my Read What You Own challenge i cannot acquire it for quite some time. I think i came close to buying The Tin Drum a long while ago but didn't feel up to it as at that time i wasn't serious enouh a reader. For point three as far as I'm aware it is a popular piece played at weddings for the bride to walk down the aisle to? I could be completely confabulating that though, so apologies if so haha! I knew nothing of Madame Bovary but am immensely intrigued now. I have also come close to getting The Peasants, too! I've missed out some reading which is becoming very apparent to me. I wanted to read Bunt as i am intrigued to see the parallels eith Orwell and Animal Farm. Great tag video! Thank you for partaking in it!

@willchambers8065 I really enjoyed the tag, thanks a lot for creating it! So glad you found my book selection interesting. Just in case you're going to read any of these (after you've finished the RWYO challenge, of course), I'd love to learn whether/how you enjoyed it.

Ordered The Tin Drum as feeling German life during the war is of great interest to me as the U.S. carelessly allows itself to careen toward the Fascist precipice.

I'd be curious to know whether/how you liked The Tin Drum, once you've read it. I share your concern about the current political development in the US. For decades we've looked at your country as the stronghold of democracy, that has liberated us from a villainous fascist regime. So sad to see all these old demagogic recipes still at work with so much success. Makes you question humanity's ability to learn...

@@polyglotreading The worst part of all this is that I think Democrats want the mad man on the ballot because it raises more money for their campaigns and brings everyone out to vote. It shames me that we are so childishly led and the rest of the world knows it.

@@polyglotreading I wonder if our polyglot history of migration hasn't strengthened humanity here. Just more stupidly evolved mobs.
