To be fair the lobster is shaped in a way where he can like pierce the water's surface and get back in the water easy. The crab tho if you toss it gently and it lands feet touching the water's surface it might float?? But if it's thrown vertically like in the video then it pierces the water's surface easy. It sounds complex but yeah the water's surface can be difficult to pierce for the smaller creatures of this world.
You honestly would be surprised, just because you don’t see other channels posting it for views, don’t mean a lot of other boats won’t clean off lobsters like this, I’m sure it’s a requirement to remove a % of the barnacles from lobsters before releasing to help with the mating process, it prolongs their life. People who have never commercially fished on a vessel don’t realize how many laws and how protected fisheries really are.
Barnacles really aren’t a problem except for cases like this where is actually impedes the animal which is rare and for ships because they gum them up. Only one species of barnacles are outright parasitic but in a pretty scary way by controlling a crab’s brain to do its bidding. An actual scientific paper put it in layman’s terms “The crab is a robot for the barnacle controller.”
No it doesn't. That crab will prolly be eaten before it hits the bottom. It won't even be able to enjoy that tasty snack. It last meal will be stolen. That's how the ocean works. It's a vicious circle of life. But mostly death

Next an alien with a weird tool removed the barnacles off me while another alien watched, holding this weird shiny thing in my face. Then they gave me a fish. I thought "this is nice." Then the aliens THREW ME. i thought i had become friends with the aliens, but they threw me away like i didn't matter😢

Well, that's not necessarily true. He's a fisherman, so he's probably hoping to catch them again one day when they're bigger. Don't get me wrong, it's still a benefit to the crabs and lobsters in general, but it's a mutual benefit.
I know! It’s pretty much the same thing. Every time he gets a lobster with barnacles on it clean and feed, sploosh clean and feed sploosh. Clean and feed sploosh and yet I continue to watch them and it never feels like a rerun!
I still can only imagine what they think. Crabs and Lobsters are fairly smart so i can only imagine they're probably thinking something akin to an alien abducted them, used strange claws to crunch off whats been bugging them, gave them a snack, and then just chucked them back into their world.

So animals such as Octopuses, Squids, crabs, lobsters, shrimps, crayfish, etc are considered sentient and incredibly smart
