A huge tower filled with trick jumps and tech, heavily inspired by Deep Dip from Trackmania. Map download: www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/ha... Gamemode: www.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/ha... GT: Oscarb64
Amazing platforming, took me and my friend 2 hours to finish this. We had no idea how to do some of the physics tricks from level 3 and beyond was fun to figure it out. Great level!
I discovered this map today and now I'm in love with it. I managed to reach the 6th floor and a friend told me that if you hit orange barriers without shooting at them they erase your checkpoints and you go back to floor 1. Is it the truth? That would be evil af! Anyway congrats for creating this fun map
Hey I love this Map, thank you for it. I need help at 1:32 I did it one yesterday, but couldn´t do it today, I guess the frist time I was just lucky, any tips? Do I just run off the platform und druck at the last second?
This map is fun and I'm enjoying trying to learn the techs that aren't readily obvious, but I don't understand the jump at 2:03 at all. I'm assuming you slide off the platform onto the other one and jump, but while you maintain your momentum, mine just comes to a dead halt in the air. I don't know what is causing that to happen. Edit: Iv just started using grappling hooks to get back to areas to practice the tech I don't know, and thank god because I don't understand half of what's being done starting at pink. Adding short descriptions of what you are doing in like close captions would be great, like the jump at 2:45, I do exactly that, but my character always grabs the ledge, unless I crouch, but then I come to a dead stop on the platform . Am I supposed to be crouching again in midair, then uncrouching again? I can't tell, and I think most people coming to this video are doing so because they don't understand what they are doing on the parts that are more about knowing the tech than being skilled at parkour, so small descriptors would be really helpful. Either way, the map is still cool. Maybe people who don't know all of the games jump tech just aren't who its designed for.
Hey, im glad youre enjoying it. The last part of your message sums it up pretty well, this map is very hard and definitely not made for people still learning the core movement tech. I’d recommend watching shyway’s curbslide masterclass or playing a slightly easier map like project air (which is insanely fun) before you attempt this one :)
Really hoping this map gets a slight update especially with the check point system just to make it a little more player friendly. I love the map Oscar and want to spend more time on it but man having to be perfect for a whole section is just not my style
Hey I’m playing on this map but I can’t figure out the pinging with the checkpoints. Do I have to use a certain game type? When I try to ping nothing happens and when I fall off it spawns me back to the beginning
Hey, Make sure you are using mark (up on d-pad) and not scan, it should work with any gamemode. There is 1 checkpoint for every different coloured section
@@oscarb64 I actually figured it out. It doesn’t work on FFA game modes because you aren’t able to ping in FFA. Once I switched it to team arena it worked.
Something doesn't seem right with the second jump of section 3. I'm completely familiar with the tech involved since I have the same type of jump in my own parkour map. I can do the first jump every single time without fail. But on the second jump, it simply will not let me clamber no matter what I do and I don't know why. I have the height, but clamber just doesn't work there most of the time for some reason. So I'm forced to cheese that jump with a simpler method. Unfortunately, it seems like most of the harder jumps so far are all cheeseable.
yea its a pretty weird jump, the trick is you have to go head on up the ramp. If you are slightly at an angle it doesnt let you clamber for whatever reason. Also im curious what is your map called? I'd like to check it out at some point
@@oscarb64 Weird, going at an angle has actually worked better for me. I've even tried emulating exactly what you're doing in the vid (which I was already doing before), and it still won't let me clamber. My success rate is legitimately about 1/70. Like I said, I can cheese it, but I'd rather learn to do it the intended way, but it just seems fucked for me. As for my map, it's unfinished and likely won't be published for a long time, but I can let you know if/when I finish it since I will definitely need playtesters.
Man, I am so lost! I got to Level 3 and can't make the first jump. Don't even know what to look up to learn whatever tech is happening to make that jump possible
the first 2 jumps you gotta sprint up the ramp and jump at the highest point. If you'd like any help with jump related stuff we got a discord server here: discord.gg/VB8wARrQ
Disappointed all the amazing creations you could make with this forge an you make floating parkour if you would just give the floating platforms pillars or something it would be a lot better I have to give you credit on the new Parkour jumps but it just feels like a copy an paste bc you have the same jumps in all your maps except the one cool map you built I’m not trying to be rude I’m just giving feedback the same feedback that I was given long ago an is now stuck in my brain my maps will continue to evolve once I get back into gaming again I hope you too will evolve I don’t know why you an your pals are so toxic too me all I do is try to help
I could not physically add more detail to this map, it is at the budget limit. It isn't meant to look amazing, the focus of the map is on technical gameplay and challenging jumps, not aesthetic. I'm not sure which of my maps you think is "the one cool map" but I consider this one to be my best
