Can we take a moment to realize how insane talyiahs walls are?

Just came back for a rewatch of all they're cinematics and noticed something. When Taliyah is sand surfing and the Canon shoots those 5 shots it takes a second for the actual sounds of then shooting to kick in to catpure how far away it is. Like lightning and thunder. Absolutely brilliant.

So many people taking this literally compared to game mechanics... The whole thing is a metaphor for struggling through the ranks from bottom to top. Yasuo and Taliyah represent cruising through the very lower divisions. Ekko represents overconfidence in one's own abilities causing you to fall and lose. MF shows a struggle to climb back and overcome your failings. Lucian is shown wading and clawing his way through hundreds of other hopeful players who stand in his path to get to Thresh, who represents Challenger - killing Thresh is Lucian's ultimate goal in his lore, just as reaching Challenger is the ultimate goal for a serious ranked player.

That scene with MF swimming frantically is genius. Not showing where she going as you see her try desperately try and swim towards something. As it pans it shows the surface, and we can see as the viewer that she isn't going to make it, she isn't going to escape. Then in that final frame you can see what she was trying to obtain wasn't an escape but her weapon. She doesn't want to escape. She wants to fight. That little snippet developed so much character with no dialogue.

This cinematic takes place right after “The Climb” ends, with Lucian in the air shooting at thresh. Even the scenery is the exact same as that video with the stairs and pillars. It’s amazing how far ahead riot plans. I wonder what else is hidden within their cinematics

Yasuo uses windwall on a large minion wave after afk. Xerath tries to ult Taliah as she ults back to lane. Ekko w's minions, blitz grabs and ults minions, urgot misses every q. The prologue to my MF/Illaoi shipping fanfic. Lucian farms, then culls the next minion wave and dashes into the league of legends logo, which i'm assuming is covering the flay and hook combo that's about to make him 0/1/0.

I always come back to this cinematic because I find it to be one of the more moving cinematics that Riot has come out with. Whether it's the powerful orchestral type soundtrack I'm a sucker for, or the metaphor for climbing and clawing your way through the ranks, despite mishaps and failing, but being determined enough to stand up and keep climbing. Um. I like all the parts. I think that all the champions were represented and interpreted well, which I don't think is true of every cinematic imo. Whether it's Thresh waiting eagerly with a smile on his face, or Lucian sweaty and pissed, unrelentlessly killing his way through hordes of ghouls, to Ekko being confident and proud of his inventions and strategies but humbled by his lack of experience, to blitzcrank BMing, all the parts were good. My favorite part of this cinematic that I don't see people talk about a lot is Taliyah's part. Specifically the part where she uses her ult. It's the part where the music really drops. The powerful brass comes in. Taliyah looks up at the sky and is in awe at all these blue fireballs coming down, and in the heat of the moment she musters up all her strength, you can see the struggle on her face, and pulls this amazing feat pulling immense amount of rock out from the earth. I don't know how to explain it further, it's just one of my favorite parts I'm very moved by that part.

This is perfection. We need a TV Series for League of Legends.
